Cancer is a term used to refer to a large set of diseases. The cancerous cells grow and divide and, as a result, they form tumours that grow in size. The immune system recognise the cancerous cells and attack them, though, it can be weakened by the cancer. One type of cancer treatment is chemotherapy, which uses drugs to kill cancer cells. Clinical, experimental, and theoretical research has been developed to understand the dynamics of cancerous cells with chemotherapy treatment, as well as the interaction between tumour growth and immune system. We study a mathematical model that describes the cancer growth, immune system response, and chemotherapeutic agents. The immune system is composed of resting cells that are converted to hunting cells to combat the cancer. In this work, we consider drug sensitive and resistant cancer cells. We show that the tumour growth can be controlled not only by means of different chemotherapy protocols, but also by the immune system that attacks both sensitive and resistant cancer cells. Furthermore, for all considered protocols, we demonstrate that the time delay from resting to hunting cells plays a crucial role in the combat against cancer cells. Copyright © 2020, The Authors. Computational technology is an important thing that needed in the whole of human life. Along with the development of computer technology, there are a significant data created and wait to be processed; we will get more advantages if it well-processed, if not we will see the data explosion, the data is just a useless stack. Research mitigates the other research paper and makes a conclusion and a report by PRISMA method. The development of computer technology will support the development of an organization. Considering any factors in choosing the right and suitable high-performance computer resource due to our organization is a must. The existing high-performance computing forms are Supercomputer, Grid Computing, Cluster Computing, and Cloud Computing. Based on this work, the last form of high-performance computing, Cloud Computing is one of the most used forms thus we mitigate its advantages and disadvantages. Recently, to process this vast data, we must have a high-performance computer and to provide it, this is not a cheap resource.

Computer and web security system is an attempt to avoid attacks from crackers because a form and method of crime on internet network can not be predicted. Therefore, we just keep trying to use various methods in securing the system that is running. It is the same in web testing that can be accessed online by people who are not responsible from along distance to change and remove the test results or even damage the web testing system. So, the purpose of this paper is to design and implement web security testing system by using semantic comparison method to avoid structured query language injection (SQLI) attack and to do security on web testing application using Message Digest 5 encryption (MD5). Research data were obtained by using direct observation and documentation and literature review. After the design and application of the system, it can be obtained that by using semantic comparison method in web testing can prevent the occurrence of SQL injection attacks and can secure account from web testing users by using MD5. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

A Coordinated Planning Model with Demand Uncertainty

This paper develops a coordinated planning model for production and order planning for single-manufacturer and single-retailers, and single-manufacturer and two-retailers. The application is for products with short lifecycles, such as fashion goods. The demand is assumed to be random with a normal distribution, and is linearly correlated in the case of two retailers. The coordinated policy is compared with a ‘returns’ policy model where the manufacturer buys back all the unsold items at a pre-specified price. Order quantities and profits for manufacturer and retailer are derived for base model, returns policy model, and for coordinated planning model, all cast as a newsvendor problem. Results show that the expected total profits are higher for coordinated model than for other models. A compensation or profit sharing scheme is then suggested based on returns policy and it is shown that the coordinated model with such sharing yields a ‘win-win’ situation for both suppliers and retailers. Numerical results are presented to illustrate the profit patterns under various conditions. The model shows that coordination of such planning in supply chains has considerable economic benefits.

Melt viscosity, determined by the shear rate, barrel temperatures, and pressure during plasticization, greatly affects the flow ability of polymer melts as well as the quality of injection-molded parts. In particular, the consistency of molding qualities is highly relevant to the plasticizing quality at each cycle (i.e., injection molding requiring a high yield rate highly relies on the stability of polymer melts). However, numerous factors affect the plasticizing quality, including the geometry of injection screws, processed polymer materials, processing parameters of plasticization such as the feeding rate, screw rotational speed, barrel temperatures, back pressure, and screw backward speed. The conventional approach of plasticization in injection molding machines uses a single reciprocating screw for conveying, melting, and metering polymer melts. The plasticizing quality is roughly adjusted by indirectly controlling barrel temperatures;thus, the melt viscosity varies. An in-suit approach of assuring melt quality is to measure the melt viscosity variation online, which is a more suitable indicator of the plasticizing quality than temperature. This study thus monitored the melt viscosity variations in polymer melts by using in-mold pressure sensors. Furthermore, the effects of the injection velocity and mold temperature on the melt viscosity variations were examined.

Depth Image-Based Rendering (DIBR) is an approach to generate a 3-D image by the original 2-D color image with the corresponding 2-D depth map. Although DIBR is a quite convenient to convert 2D images to 3D ones, there is a disadvantage in DIBR system that it cannot reach real-time processing due to the computing time. Against this, this paper proposes a method which is based on discrete wavelet transform and adaptive edge-oriented smoothing process, to speed up the computing of the system. The proposed method still preserves the original texture and thus the proposed method not only preserves the vertical texture but also reduces at least 60% of the computing time of the DIBR system. © 2018 Computer Society of the Republic of China. Entrainment and mixing in gravity currents using simultaneous velocity-density measurements

Gravity currents modify their flow characteristics by entraining ambient fluid, which depends on a variety of governing parameters such as the initial density, ∆ρ, the total initial height of the fluid, H, and the slope of the terrain, α, from where it is released. Depending on these parameters, the gravity current may be designated as sub-critical, critical, or super-critical. It is imperative to study the entrainment dynamics of a gravity current in order to have a clear understanding of mixing transitions that govern the flow physics, the shear layer thickness, δu, and the mixing layer thickness, δρ. Experiments were conducted in a lock-exchange facility in which the dense fluid was separated from the ambient lighter fluid using a gate. As the gate is released instantaneously, an energy conserving gravity current is formed, for which the only governing parameter is the Reynolds number defined as Re = Uhν , where U is the front velocity of the gravity current, and h is the height of the current. In our study, the bulk Richardson number, Rib=gU0Hb2 =1, takes a constant value for all the experiments, with Ub being the bulk velocity of the layer defined as Ub=pg0H. Simultaneous Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence (PLIF) measurement techniques are employed to get the velocity and density statistics. A flux-based method is used to calculate the entrainment coefficient, EF, for a Reynolds number range of Re ≈400-13000 used in our experiments. The result shows a mixing transition at Re ≈2700 that is attributed to the flow transitioning from weak Holmboe waves to Kelvin-Helmholtz type instabilities. Following this mixing transition, the entrainment coefficient continued to increase with increasing Reynolds number owing to the occurrence of Kelvin-Helmholtz billows that promote small scale local mixing and cause another marked spike in the flux entrainment values. This paper aims to facilitate the owner to control water pump machine from the vacuum, and the condition of the water is it full or not in house or apartment. The current control system still has many limitations in controlling the water pump machine at home or apartment. The water machine control system was designed with device that has a smart surveillance system that can be accessed with Android smartphone and all information from or to machine control system will command by using SMS, this device create a development of Arduino UNO microcontroller technology that allows the reading of the GSM Module and connected with SMS Gateway. In 2023, La Niña conditions that generally prevailed in the eastern Pacific Ocean from mid-2020 into early 2023 gave way to a strong El Niño by October. Atmospheric concentrations of Earth’s major greenhouse gases—carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide—all increased to record-high levels. The annual global average carbon dioxide concentration in the atmosphere rose to 419.3±0.1 ppm, which is 50% greater than the pre-industrial level. The growth from 2022 to 2023 was 2.8 ppm, the fourth highest in the record since the 1960s. The combined short-term effects of El Niño and the long-term effects of increasing levels of heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere contributed to new records for many essential climate variables reported here. The annual global temperature across land and oceans was the highest in records dating as far back as 1850, with the last seven months (June–December) having each been record warm. Over land, the globally averaged temperature was also record high. Dozens of countries reported record or near-record warmth for the year, including China and continental Europe as a whole (warmest on record), India and Russia (second warmest), and Canada (third warmest). Intense and widespread heatwaves were reported around the world. In Vietnam, an all-time national maximum temperature record of 44.2°C was observed at Tuong Duong on 7 May, surpassing the previous record of 43.4°C at Huong Khe on 20 April 2019. In Brazil, the air temperature reached 44.8°C in Araçuaí in Minas Gerais on 20 November, potentially a new national record and 12.8°C above normal. The effect of rising temperatures was apparent in the cryosphere, where snow cover extent by June 2023 was the smallest in the 56-year record for North America and seventh smallest for the Northern Hemisphere overall.
