In this paper, we investigate the problem of reference tracking for a class of linear systems subject to actuator saturation and propose a performance-based model recovery anti-windup strategy. We adopt the classic model recovery anti-windup framework and regard the states or one of the outputs of the anti-windup compensator as the tracking error, by which the difference between the unconstrained system and the saturated system is quantified. Then, instead of employing the commonly used $\mathcal{L}_{2}$ gain, we present the prescribed performance functions (PPFs) to characterize the real-time tracking error such that the system performance can be captured more specifically. In particular, to avoid singular issues arising from the occurrence of saturation, we modify the existing PPFs with an auxiliary system when saturation occurs. Based on these modified performance functions, we follow a modified prescribed performance control approach and design the remaining output of the anti-windup compensator. Such a design procedure is constructive, making it more promising for extension to nonlinear systems. Theoretical results establish the boundedness of all signals in the closed-loop system. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of our design strategy.

In the field of telemetry, track, and command system, this study presents a phased array antenna control system for achieving multi-target tracking tasks through a set of systems. Firstly, electric beam scanning of a planar array phased array antenna is used in this paper to implement multi-target tracking. In addition, the phased array antenna is mounted on the antenna pedestal, which can operate on the azimuth and elevation mechanical axes. Thirdly, the mechanical scanning method of the azimuth-elevation antenna pedestal and the beam scanning method of the phased array antenna are combined to realize multi-target tracking tasks. Finally, the experiments of flight tracking are completed by employing the technique of UAV tagging, and the results validate the viability of the system.

Distributed Observer Design over Directed Switching Topologies

The distributed observer design problem holds significant importance in cases in which the output information of a system is decentralized across different subsystems. Each subsystem has a local observer and access to one part of the measurement outputs and information exchanged through communication networks. This paper focuses on the design of distributed observer with jointly connected directed switching networks. The problem presents challenges due to passive switching modes and the open-loop unboundedness that results from local observability. To overcome these challenges, we develop a network transformation mapping method whereby each local observer can classify itself into an independent subgraph based on independent judgment. Next, an observable decomposition and reorganization method is developed for the digraph case to ensure that each subgraph possesses independent dynamic properties. Asymptotic omniscience is then proven using a developed recursive proof method. This paper includes many previous results as special cases, because most are only suitable for undirected switching topologies or fast-switching cases. An adaptive coupling gain design is proposed to simplify the calculation and verification of conditions that guarantee asymptotic omniscience. LU2Net: A Lightweight Network for Real-time Underwater Image Enhancement

Computer vision techniques have empowered underwater robots to effectively undertake a multitude of tasks, including object tracking and path planning. However, underwater optical factors like light refraction and absorption present challenges to underwater vision, which cause degradation of underwater images. A variety of underwater image enhancement methods have been proposed to improve the effectiveness of underwater vision perception. Nevertheless, for real-time vision tasks on underwater robots, it is necessary to overcome the challenges associated with algorithmic efficiency and real-time capabilities. In this paper, we introduce Lightweight Underwater Unet (LU2Net), a novel U-shape network designed specifically for real-time enhancement of underwater images. The proposed model incorporates axial depthwise convolution and the channel attention module, enabling it to significantly reduce computational demands and model parameters, thereby improving processing speed. The extensive experiments conducted on the dataset and real-world underwater robots demonstrate the exceptional performance and speed of proposed model. It is capable of providing well-enhanced underwater images at a speed 8 times faster than the current state-of-the-art underwater image enhancement method. Moreover, LU2Net is able to handle real-time underwater video enhancement. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.

In recent years, deep learning has been successfully applied in object detection of remote sensing images, due to its powerful feature extraction and representation capabilities. However, it usually ignores the relationships among different objects, which greatly hinders the further improvement of the detection precision. In this paper, a novel object relationship graph reasoning deep learning method is proposed for object detection of remote sensing images. The reasoning is carried out on a graph constructed by region proposals. It mainly contains three modules for relationship generation in consideration of different factors that related to object detection: 1) Location-based relationship generation module (LRGM) aims to find spatial relationships among objects according to their positions;2) Feature-based relationship generation module (FRGM) focuses on mining semantic relationships among objects according to their appearances that implied in feature maps and 3) Class-dependent relationship generation module (CRGM) introduces class dependencies into the relationship generation process. Class dependencies are the prior knowledge that is obtained by computing class co-occurrence. The experimental results on a public twenty-class remote sensing object detection dataset have shown that the proposed method has better detection performance compared to other object detection deep networks with no considering object relationships. © 2021 IEEE.

Spatial public goods games on any population structure

Understanding the emergence of cooperation in spatially structured populations has advanced significantly in the context of pairwise games, but the fundamental theory of group-based public goods games (PGGs) remains less explored. Here, we provide theoretical conditions under which cooperation thrive in spatial PGGs on any population structure, which are accurate under weak selection. We find that PGGs can support cooperation across all kinds of model details and on almost all network structures in contrast to pairwise games. For example, a class of networks that would otherwise fail to produce cooperation, such as star graphs, are particularly conducive to cooperation in spatial PGGs. This fundamental advantage of spatial PGGs derives from reciprocity through second-order interactions, allowing local structures such as the clustering coefficient to play positive roles. We also verify the robustness of spatial PGGs on empirical networks where pairwise games cannot support cooperation, which implies that PGGs could be a universal interaction mode in real-world systems. © 2024, CC BY.

In this article, an adaptive event-triggered asymp¬totically fault-tolerant control (FTC) issue for nonlinear systems with actuator faults is investigated. An extended neural networks (NNs) technique is introduced to estimate unknown functions of the system under consideration. Compared with traditional NNs that ignore approximation errors, the proposed extended NNs further processes approximation errors, reducing the conservatism of the proposed algorithm. Then, within the framework of backstepping method, a new adaptive control strategy is developed by combining event-triggered mechanism (ETM) and bound estimation (BE) approach, which ensures the asymptotic convergence of system states while also reducing the transmission of unnecessary information, thus improving the utilization of communication resources. At the same time, the designed controller eliminates the adverse effects of actuator failures and system nonlinear terms. Finally, a simulation example of a single-link robot system is provided to demonstrate that the developed control strategy can ensure that all signals are bounded and system states are asymptotically convergent.

Fluorinated nitrile (C4F7N) has been considered a novel eco-friendly gas insulating medium, while the low toxicity and leakage risk urgently urge the development of C4F7N gas sensor. Herein, we analyzed the sensing performance of transition metal doped MoS2 to C4F7N based on the density functional theory (DFT). The adsorption energy, charge transfer, deformation charge density and density of states were explored. Furthermore, the sensitivity and recovery performance were analyzed based on frontier orbital and transition state theories. It was found that Pd-MoS2 can achieve a superior balance between sensitivity and response time, showing promising potential for C4F7N leak detection for engineering applications. © 2023, The Authors. Clean air actions （CAAs） in China have been linked to considerable benefits in public ***,whether the beneficial effects of CAAs are equally distributed geographically is *** high-resolution maps of the distributions of major air pollutants (fine particulate matter[PM2.5]and ozone[O3]) and population,we aimed to track spatiotemporal changes in health impacts from,and geographic inequality embedded in,the reduced exposures to PM2.5and O3from 2013 to *** used a method established by the Global Burden of Diseases *** analyzing the changes in loss of life expectancy（LLE） attributable to PM2.5and O3,we calculated the gain of life expectancy （GLE） to quantify the health benefits of the air-quality ***,we assessed the geographic inequality embedded in the GLE using the Gini index （GI）.Based on risk assessments of PM2.5and O3,during the first stage of CAAs（2013 to 2017）,the mean GLE was 1.87 *** of the sum of the GLE was disproportionally distributed in about one quarter of the population exposed （GI 0.44）.During the second stage of CAAs（2017 to 2020）,the mean GLE increased to 3.94 months and geographic inequality decreased （GI 0.18）.According to our assessments,CAAs were enhanced,from the first to second stages,in terms of not only preventing premature mortality but also ameliorating health *** enhancements were related to increased sensitivity to the health effects of air pollution and synergic control of PM2.5and *** findings will contribute to optimizing future CAAs.

Data-Driven Learning and control with Event-Triggered Measurements

Event-triggered control has attracted considerable attention for its effectiveness in resource-restricted applications. To make event-triggered control as an end-to-end solution, a key issue is how to effectively learn unknown system dynamics from event-triggered measurements and consequently, develop a learning-based event-triggered controller. Existing works learn system dynamics based on periodic time-triggered measurements, and it is yet to know how to learn a controller with performance guarantee based on event-triggered measurements. To address this issue, we consider the problem of learning an event-triggered state feedback controller for an unknown linear system based on event-triggered state measurements in this work. In particular, we first analyze the event-triggered measurements within a set-membership framework. We prove that the estimation error belongs to a bounded ellipsoid determined by the historical measurements and the event-triggering condition. Subsequently, we demonstrate that all admissible systems compatible with the collected data samples can be explicitly represented in the form of quadratic matrix inequalities using the state estimates. With the acquired set of admissible systems, a co-design problem for the data-driven controller and event-triggering condition is solved using the linear matrix inequality technique, with guaranteed closed-loop stability and L2-gain performance. Finally, numerical examples and comparisons are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed event-triggered learning and control approach. © 1963-2012 IEEE.
