When naval vessels moving on the sea, the carrier air wake disturbance will arise. The carrier air wake makes the landing environment of carrier aircraft fair adverse, which puts forward a high demand for the high precise attitude control of carrier based aircrafts. In this paper, high precise robust attitude control problems for carrier based aircrafts with the carrier air wake disturbance are investigated. Firstly, the small disturbance linearization method is introduced to transform the nonlinear system into a linear one, which is a necessary procedure for aircraft system analysis and controller design. Secondly, the model of the carrier air wake disturbance is established and its effects on the aerodynamic parameters are analyzed in detail. Then the effects are transformed into the augmented disturbance in the system. Thirdly, a nonlinear extended state observer is utilized to estimate the disturbance. Besides, a robust adaptive attitude controller with integral term is proposed to achieve high precision attitude tracking. The stability of the closed-loop system is prove based on Lyapunov theory. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the obtained results.

Computational prediction of the interaction between human leukocyte antigen (HLA) and peptide (pHLA) can speed up epitope screening and vaccine design. Here, we develop the TransMut framework composed of TransPHLA for pHLA binding prediction and AOMP for mutated peptide optimization, which can be generalized to any binding and mutation task of biomolecules. Firstly, TransPHLA is developed by using a Transformer-derived self-attention model to predict pHLA binding, which is significantly superior to 11 previous methods on pHLA binding prediction, neoantigen and human papilloma virus vaccine identification. For vaccine design, the AOMP program is then developed to automatically optimize mutated peptides to search for mutant peptides with higher affinity to the target HLA and with high homology to the source peptide. Among 3660 non-binding pHLAs, 3630 were successfully mutated. Of these, 94% were verified by the IEDB recommended method, and 88% have homology higher than 80% to the source peptide. © 2021, CC BY.

As physical obstacles, vehicles have significant impacts on the efficient propagations of safety-related information in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) by frequently obstructing the LOS links between transmitters and receivers. Obstructing effect will diminish the effective coverage of safety-related information and incur severe impact on road safety. However, this impact has not been addressed effectively. In this paper, we first present the definition of broadcast efficiency as the metric for quantizing the obstructing effect. We investigate the optimization issue for mitigating the impact of obstructing effect on the propagation of safety-related information and propose a graph theory-based optimization algorithm. For a distributed implementation of this optimization in VANETs, we further propose the maximum broadcast efficiency relaying (MBER) algorithm. MBER maximizes the effective coverage of information, meanwhile, meets delay and reliability constraints by incorporating broadcast efficiency and propagation distance in relay contention. Simulation results demonstrate that MBER promotes the effective coverage of safety-related information in VANETs with varying vehicular distribution. © 1967-2012 IEEE.

Accurate monitoring of nutrient supply is crucial for effective plant nutrition management. This study introduces a bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) approach to evaluate how lettuce genotypes respond to nitrogen (N) supply, illuminating the link between BIS and N metabolism. The research consisted of two parts: a preliminary experiment focusing on extracellular fluid resistance, followed by a second experiment involving five different N treatments applied to two lettuce genotypes. BIS spectra were recorded from 1 Hz to 100 kHz, with a total of 224 measurements. Plant physiological analyses assessed total and extracellular fluid nitrate (NO 3 − ) concentrations, pigment concentration, total N content, and cell membrane stability index. In the preliminary experiment, a significant negative correlation was observed between extracellular fluid NO 3 − concentration and extracellular fluid resistance (r = – 0.67). Furthermore, the frequency range around 63 Hz (R 2 = 0.97) appeared most sensitive to NO 3 − dynamics in the ‘Kobak’ lettuce genotype. In the two lettuce genotypes exposed to the five different N treatments, extracellular fluid resistance negatively correlated with total N and NO 3 − content ( r = – 0.76 and – 0.73), while vacuole fluid resistance showed a moderate correlation ( r = – 0.51). Cell membrane capacitance was also significantly correlated with membrane stability index ( r = 0.68), indicating that low-N conditions reduce membrane charge storage. However, these correlations appeared highly genotype dependent. Heatmap-based hierarchical clustering of Z-score standardized BIS parameters further confirmed these genotype-specific patterns. Collectively, these findings suggest that BIS captures key aspects of N uptake and storage, particularly in the extracellular fluid compartment. Overall, BIS offers a robust, non-destructive method for monitoring N status and may enhance precision in nutrient management for lettuce and other crops, although the genotype-s

The paper presents a flexible and efficient method to secure the access to a Web site implemented in PHP script language. The algorithm is based on the PHP's session mechanism. The proposed method is a general one and offers the possibility to implement a PHP based secured access to a Web site, through a portal page and using an additional script included in any site's page, which is required to be accessed only by registered users. The synchronized trajectory tracking control problem of multiple mobile robots under actuator faults is studied in this *** take the communication delays into consideration in system design and do not require that the network topology is symmetric.A distributed control design approach is proposed by incorporating the synchronized formation control method and a sufficient condition is obtained to guarantee the asymptotic convergence of both the position error and synchronization error of each *** results validate that the proposed approach achieves synchronized trajectory tracking tasks under unidirectional topologies with actuator faults and coupling delays.

The results of theoretical researches of construction of a eddy-current defectoscope with a coupled measuring oscillatory circuit with a transformer coupling for the quality monitoring of welding seams of metal products are presented. This device can be used in eddy-current (electromagnetic) defectoscopy for automatic and manual control of metal products in cases where it is difficult to fix the gap between the laying-in eddy-current converter (inductance coil), which contains the measuring oscillatory circuit, and the controlled surface of the ferromagnetic product. The main advantages of using coupling oscillatory circuits in the construction of resonance eddy-current defectoscopes are presented.

This paper presents some considerations regarding the prediction of the electrical energy consumption. It is well known that the central element of a microeconomic analysis is represented by the economical agents actions, actions that follow their own interest such as: the consumer – maximization of his satisfaction, the producer – maximization of his profit. The study case is focused on the prediction of the sold energy in Banat region. The goal of this study case is to optimize the electrical energy quantity purchased from the producer by the energy distributor in Banat region. The prediction is based on neural networks. There are used feed-forward and Elman type neural networks. In order to enhance the prediction accuracy there have been used both linear and nonlinear preprocessing units. The aspects considered in this paper can be extrapolated in any general case of prediction-based application, not only in the already stated case of electrical energy. Copyright © 2018, The Authors. In this paper, we study the semi-global output containment control problem of a multi-agent system in the presence of actuator saturation over a directed network. The leader and follower agents are of different dynamics, and the follower agents are affected by disturbances generated by the leader agents through directed paths in the communication topology. The control objective of the output containment control is to drive the output trajectories of the follower agents to converge to the convex hull spanned by the outputs of the leader agents in the presence of disturbances. Low gain feedback containment protocols are constructed based on the output regulation approach and distributed observers. It is shown that semi-global output containment control can be achieved by the proposed protocols, if each follower agent is connected to at least one leader agent through a directed path in the communication topology. Simulation results verify the theoretical conclusions.
