Electroencephalography is a non-invasive technique for recording brain bioelectric activity, which has potential applications in various fields such as human-computer interaction and neuroscience. Among them, analysis of the risk of schizophrenia using EEG data is a relatively new research topic. However, there are many difficulties in analyzing EEG data, including its complex composition, low amplitude as well as low signal-to-noise ratio. Some of the existing methods of analysis are based on feature extraction and machine learning to differentiate the phase of schizophrenia (First-episode schizophrenia, Healthy controls or Clinical high-risk) that samples belong to. However, medical research requires the use of machine learning not only to give more accurate classification results, but also to give the results that can be applied to pathological studies. The main purpose of this study is to obtain the weight values as the representation of influence of each frequency band on the classification of schizophrenia phases on the basis of a more effective classification method using the LES feature extraction, and then the weight values are processed and applied to improve the accuracy of machine learning classification. We propose a method called weight-voting to obtain the weights of sub-bands features by using results of classification for voting to fit the actual categories of EEG data, and using weights for reclassification. Through this method, we can first obtain the influence of each band in distinguishing three schizophrenia phases, and analyze the effect of band features on the risk of schizophrenia contributing to the study of psychopathology. In addition, the weights applied to the original classifier can achieve the upgrade of the classification effect, which contributes to the BCI-assisted system of diagnosis and treatment. In this paper, a low-cost dualtone radio interferometric positioning system using a single mobile anchor is proposed to locate multiple targets at the same time. We name it mDRIPS. In mDRIPS, each target continuously transmits a dual-tone signal with its dedicated frequencies, and the mobile anchor receives the signals at different positions along its trajectory, Neither time synchronization between the mobile anchor and the targets nor time synchronization among the targets is required. We take the instability of targets clocks into consideration and develop an ESPRIT-type algorithm to estimate frequencies of each dual-tone signal. Furthermore, the time of arrival (TOA) of each target signal is extracted from the phase estimates of the received dual-tone signals. After measuring several TOAs at different locations along the anchor's trajectory, each target can be located. Since the frequency difference of the two tones of each dualtone signal is designed to be smaller than the channel coherence bandwidth, the same fading effect on these two tones can be eliminated. Moreover, the integer ambiguity problem due to phase wrapping is investigated, and a localization algorithm to deal with a simplified ambiguity problem is proposed. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed mDRIPS.

This paper designs output-feedback model predictive control for discrete-time stochastic linear systems. An augmented system of both estimated state and estimation error is formulated. A series of polyhedrons is designed for uncertainty propagation of the augmented system and handling probabilistic constraints. In particular, the polyhedron of estimation error is maintained over the repeated optimization such that the real system state is properly estimated. The resultant optimization problem of the controller is quadratic programming and is solved efficiently. A numerical example is given to illustrate performance of the controller.

This paper proposes methods for the development of mathematical models and for the control of operation modes of technological objects in oil refinery in face of uncertainty based on fuzzy information. The mathematical formulation of the problem of decision-making on controlling modes, which are solved on the basis of mathematical modeling, is formalized and obtained. By using the example of the problem of decision-making on optimal operation modes of technological complex for the benzene production and based on the methods of fuzzy mathematics an algorithm of its solution is developed. The initial problem is formalized as a problem of decision-making in the fuzzy environment, since the investigated object is characterized by multicriteriality and frequently functions in a fuzzy environment. The mathematical formulation of the problem of object's mode selection in the fuzzy environment and the heuristic algorithm of its solution is obtained by modifying various optimality principles based on methods of the fuzzy sets theory.

Terrain-based localization is an alternate to the global positioning system (GPS) in signal blocked areas. However, terrain-based localization technique may suffer from low accuracy or even fail when brake vibration occurs. This paper presents a real-time algorithm for vehicle localization which is robust against brake vibration. The input includes a reference map of pitch difference and measurements from rear wheel encoders and inertial measurement units (IMU). This method consists of two steps. In the first step, terrain map is generated using pitch difference at equidistant intervals. After that, the Bayesian inference and particle filters are adopted in the second step to identify the vehicle location during travel. To enhance system stability, we propose dynamic distributions of filter variances according to acceleration input. Experimental results demonstrate that the localization method with dynamic distributions can localize the vehicle quickly with high accuracy even when a quite severe shuddering happens.
