In this paper, two forms of the most popular double EWMA controller are analysed and compared in terms of the stability conditions and long-run performance. We point out their own advantages and disadvantages in use and present each own applicable situations. In this paper, we investigate the dynamics of Chinese stock market from a complex network perspective, based on daily uctuations of all stocks during 1906 working day period from 2005 to 2012. In the network being constructed, each node is a stock, and each edge indicates the time correlation coef cient of two stocks over a window of T days. The network evolves chronologically as the window slides in forward time at a ΔT-days interval. By examining the variation of the network parameters as time elapses, we show that the degree distributions of Chinese stock market networks are heavy-tailed, but cannot follow the power-law when the Chinese stock market experiences a bear market. And the edge density is exceedingly large at the bearish periods. Moreover, we discuss how a network approach can be used to build a well-diversi ed portfolio. We nd that investments in stocks that occupy central, highly connected in the Chinese stock network outperform after the intervention of positive policy.

Characteristic modeling and the adaptive control design based on it have attracted increasing attention from the research community due to their many successful practical applications that have been reported. This paper presents a Matlab simulation platform that has been developed to facilitate the study of characteristic model based adaptive controlsystems. The simulation platform consists of two interweaving components: for a given continuous-time linear time-invariant plant, represented by a transfer function, and a specified sampling period, the simulation platform calculates a discretized model of the plant, and the corresponding characteristic model, and with a specified set of initial conditions of the characteristic model and its coefficients, along with the specified duration of simulation and reference input, the simulation platform will adaptively tune the coefficients of the characteristic model and calculate the outputs of the plant and the characteristic model. All the data needed for the simulation will be entered through a graphic user interface, which also plots the evolution of the outputs of the plant and the characteristic model as well as the evolution of the coefficients of the characteristic model. The simulation results can also be saved for off line plotting and analysis through the graphic user interface.

This paper addresses the robust semi-global coordinated tracking problem of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) multi-agent systems with input saturation and communication noise. A distributed observer-based coordinated tracking protocol is constructed by combining a novel parameterized low-and-high feedback technique with the high-gain observers design approach. It is shown that, under the assumptions that each agent is asymptotically null-controllable with bounded controls and the network is connected, semi-global consensus tracking or semi-global swarm tracking can be attained for left-invertible and minimal-phase systems.

This paper studies the formation problem for multislave teleoperation system over general communication networks,where multiple mobile slave agents are coupled with a single master robot. The forward and backward network transmission time delays are assumed to be asymmetric and *** to the quantization in the network, a dynamic quantization strategy is provided to quantize the output signals of the master robot and slave agents before transmitting. Then, a novel masterslave protocol is designed to achieve the formation task under variable time delays and quantization. Additionally, the sufficient conditions for stability are presented to show that the formation protocol can stabilize the master-slave system under variable time delays and quantization. Finally, simulation are performed to show effectiveness of the main results.
