Learning-based multi-view stereo aims to restore the real scene from multiple images with overlapping areas. The mainstream self-supervised MVS method trains the model based on the assumption that spatial points from different perspectives share the same color information. To further suppress the interference from specular reflection and illumination noise, this work proposes a self-supervised MVS network based on the consistency of synthetic-real image prediction. The network first applies the coarse-to-fine manner to gradually refine the depth map, and the source images are projected to the reference view to generate the synthesized reference image. Then the synthesized image with real source images are re-input into the network to form a cycled network, and the consistency constraint of the prediction results of the two periods is introduced to improve the color anti-interference of the self- supervised MVS model. The comprehensive experiments on the public dataset show that the proposed work can further improve the reconstruction performance of the benchmark model, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed work. © 2023 IEEE.

Thermal storage technology is becoming more and more significant with the increase of high-power equipment in space *** this paper,3 D printing technology and Phase Change Material(PCM)were combined into a Thermal Energy Storage(TES)system,which could fulfill the requirements of light weight and high thermal conductivity.A 3 D-printed lattice-structure TES plate with N-tetradecane as the PCM and aluminum alloy as the thermal conductivity enhancer was manufactured,and experimentally tested in a thermal vacuum *** addition,a simplified simulation model of the lattice cell was established to clearly analyze the heat transfer process of the TES *** effects of initial temperature distribution and heat load gradient on the thermal storage performances were investigated experimentally and *** equivalent thermal conductivity of the 3 D-printed lattice-structure TES plate turns out to be 13 times of the pure PCM thanks to the aluminum *** heat transfer enhancement appears at the end of the phase change stage due to the sudden mixture of the PCM with different *** simulation results agree well with the experimental *** equivalent thermal conductivity obtained by the phase change simulations are a little higher than those of the experiments,which is mainly caused by the initial uneven temperature distribution in the ***,the effects of non-uniform heat load and the presence of the PCM in the TES plate are *** work successfully validates the feasibility and effectiveness of 3 D printing technology and TES technology for the temperature control in space applications.

With the rapid development of computer technology and the Internet of Things (IoT), a large amount of data containing both healthy and faulty states can be collected from existing devices in factories. However, the usable faulty state data is scarce. Transfer learning makes it possible to train efficient and reliable neural networks with a small number of samples. Domain adaptation, as a branch of transfer learning, can effectively realize knowledge transfer between small sample data. Starting from three subcategories of deep learning-based domain adaptation methods, this article summarizes the latest research achievements and provides insights into future research directions. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposes Safe Tracker, an autonomous aerial tracking framework based on vision sensor that can deal with challenging tracking missions and guarantee safety and visibility. Firstly, a RGB-D sensor based segmentation method is employed to locate the target in real-time. Then target motion is predicted for a short time horizon, based on which a heuristic path searching method is applied to generate an occlusion-free path. Finally, particular formulations to balance visibility and safety are designed, and an effective non-linear trajectory optimization method enables to generate an optimal tracking trajectory. Autonomous aerial tracking experiments using a vision sensor are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed Safe Tracker in a challenging cluttered forest and a room full of sharp turns using Gazebo. Benchmark comparisons validate that our method tracks more safely and robustly than the state-of-art method. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of Automation.

The complexification-averaging method is utilized to study the amplitude-frequency response of a system connected to a parallel asymmetric nonlinear energy sink (NES) under harmonic excitation, and the Runge-Kutta method is used to analyze the change law of the frequency band of the higher branches of response and the strongly modulated responses with the assistance of the complexification-averaging method. Under shock loading, the effect of parallel asymmetric NES parameters on its vibration absorption efficiency is investigated. The results demonstrate that the frequency band of higher branches of response is widened by reducing the stiffness ratio, mass ratio, and damping ratio of the two NES, emphasizing the fact that the frequency band of the strongly modulated response can be widened or narrowed with the reduction of these parameters. Moreover, reducing the mass ratio and damping ratio of the two NESs decreases the vibration absorption efficiency when the system is subjected to a shock load. However, the vibration absorption efficiency increases by reducing the stiffness ratio. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

With the rapid development of railway traffic system, real-time semantic segmentation plays a crucial role in railway track scene monitoring. However, most of the existing methods use lightweight convolution to reduce the computational complexity, which results in reduced accuracy. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a real-time semantic segmentation network called TICNet, which is specifically used for accurate segmentation of railway track scenes. TICNet uses a novel three-branch structure designed for efficient feature extraction and accurate segmentation. Results on the RailSem19 dataset show that TICNet has a segmentation accuracy of 62.36% mIoU with an inference speed of 81.2 FPS, which is significantly better than many existing methods. © 2024 IEEE.

Remote Photoplethysmography (rPPG) is a non-contact method for measuring heart rate (HR) through facial video, breaking the constraints of contact measurements and offering broad application prospects. However, in real monitoring scenarios, the distance of subjects and facial illumination often vary. This leads to degradation of rPPG signals due to changes in facial resolution and light intensity. This paper presents the High and Low Frequency Feature Adversarial Learning Network (HLFF-AL), which utilizes feature space interpolation and composite feature capture to perform multi-band global and local signal extraction. By adopting an adversarial learning strategy, it enhances the capability to capture semantic information of rPPG under varying resolutions and lighting, bridging the differences in rPPG signal generation due to resolution changes. While maintaining accuracy in HR measuring, the robustness of the network is improved to achieve robust measurement of HR via rPPG. Even under high-resolution conditions, the Mean Absolute Error (MAE) for the three public datasets - unchanging lighting (COHFACE, UBFC-rPPG) and varying lighting (BUAA-MIHR) - reached 1.10 bpm, 1.64 bpm, and 4.41 bpm, respectively, with a mere 0.29 bpm difference in MAE between high and low resolutions on the BUAA-MIHR dataset. This demonstrates that HLFF-AL can predict more robust rPPG signals in various resolutions and lighting scenarios, achieving competitive results compared to state-of-the-art methods. © 1991-2012 IEEE.

The condition assessment method of the Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) devices is investigated in this paper. Simulation models in 2D and 3D are constructed based on the finite element models, and the differences between the two models are compared. To improve the accuracy of the 2D model and meet the requirements of digital twin technology, based on the 3D simulation physical model to correct the 2D computational results, the 3D segmented reconstruction method was proposed. By constructing a mathematical model, the output results of the 2D and 3D models were segmented and fitted to derive the corresponding relationship formulas for each segment. Using these formulas to optimize the computational results of the 2D model significantly improved the simulation speed while ensuring high accuracy, meeting the real-time and accuracy requirements of digital twin technology. © 2024 IEEE.
