Traffic light is the most significant component of road transportation. Traffic lights control the traffic movement at intersections by allowing the movement of some lanes and forbidding that of the others to ensure safety and efficiency. It is important for intelligent vehicles to understand the meaning of traffic lights. Conventional research works on traffic light detection and tracking consider each light independently, so the occlusion of some lights may mislead the decision of the vehicle. Since all traffic lights at an intersection work together, it is more essential to understand the traffic movement status controlled by the traffic lights rather than the perception of a single light. Therefore, this paper proposes a spatial-temporal-rule-based framework to interpret the current traffic movement status and predict the next status. The spatial information, including position and class, is obtained by traffic light detection. The temporal information is perceived by the proposed topologic-feature-based tracking method. The rule information is recognized by combination of spatial and temporal information. A dual-view camera system consisting of a telephoto camera and a wide-angle camera is adopted to ensure long perception distance and wide coverage simultaneously. The successful tracking of traffic lights from 200 m to 10 m away provides enough data to recognize the phase-change rule, which leads to correct interpretation and prediction. A customized dataset was collected, and experiments were conducted to illustrate the capability of the proposed method. © 2023 IEEE.

Smallest Eigenvalues Based Logarithmic Derivative Method for Computing Dominant Oscillation Modes in Large-Scale Power systems

With the rapid integration of renewable energy, wide-band oscillations caused by interactions between power electronic equipment and grids have emerged as one of the most critical stability issues. Existing methods are usually studied for local power systems with around one hundred nodes. However, for a large-scale power system with tens of thousands of nodes, the dimension of transfer function matrix or the order of characteristic equation is much higher. In this case, the existing methods such as eigenvalue analysis method and impedance-based method have difficulty in computation and are thus hard to utilize in practice. To fill this gap, this paper proposes a novel method named the smallest eigenvalues based logarithmic derivative (SELD) method. It obtains the dominant oscillation modes by the logarithmic derivative of the κ-smallest eigenvalue curves of the sparse extended nodal admittance matrix (NAM). An oscillatory stability analysis tool is further developed based on this method. The effectiveness of the method and the tool is validated through a local power system as well as a large-scale power system. © 2013 State Grid Electric Power Research Institute.

Urban rail transit (URT) is vulnerable to natural disasters and social emergencies including fire, storm and epidemic (such as COVID-19), and real-time origin-destination (OD) flow prediction provides URT operators with important information to ensure the safety of URT system. However, hindered by the high dimensionality of OD flow and the lack of supportive information reflecting the real-time passenger flow changes, study in this area is at the beginning stage. A novel model consisting of two stages is proposed for OD flow prediction. The first stage predicts the inflows of all stations by Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) in real time, where the dimension is reduced compared with predicting OD flows directly. In the second stage, the notion of separation rate, namely, the proportion of inbound passengers bounding for another station, is estimated. Finally, The OD flow is predicted by multiplying the inflow and separation rate. Experiments based on Hangzhou Metro dataset show the proposed model outperforms the contrast model in weighted mean average error (WMAE) and weighted mean square error (WMSE). Results also suggest that the proposed prediction model performs better on weekdays than on weekends, and with greater accuracy on larger OD flows. © 2000-2011 IEEE.

A large number of sensors and controllers in the micro-grid system transmit signals through the network,however,due to the physical limitations of the network bandwidth and service capacity,data transmission in the network will have delays,packet loss and time disorder,which will damage the performance of the system,and even lead to instability of the ***,in this paper,the switching fuzzy time-delay micro-grid system is established,and the Fuzzy controller of the micro-grid subsystem is designed according to the PDC method,and the switching law is designed,the asymptotic stability condition of the system is given by using the method of single Lyapunov function and convex combination,and the stability of the system is analyzed.

This article designs three MIMO antennas for WLAN and WIMAX. The center resonance frequencies are 2.4 GHz, 3.5 GHz, and 5.2 GHz, respectively. The electromagnetic simulation software HFSS is used to design and optimize the MIMO antenna. The MIMO antenna is designed with dielectric substrates with different thicknesses and sizes and antenna element patches with different shapes. Use the antenna layout in each frequency band to obtain good isolation. Make the center working frequency reach more than 15dB. The antenna has the characteristics of omnidirectional radiation in the working frequency band, and the isolation and gain are calculated through the S parameter sweep frequency setting, and then the optimization function is used to optimize and modify the antenna. © 2022 IEEE.

Bearing-Based Target Entrapping control of Multiple Uncertain Agents With Arbitrary Maneuvers

This paper is concerned with bearing-based cooperative target entrapping control of multiple uncertain agents with arbitrary maneuvers including shape deformation, rotations, scalings, etc. A leader-follower structure is used, where the leaders move with the predesigned trajectories, and the followers are steered by an estimation-based control method, integrating a distance estimator using bearing measurements and a stress matrix-based formation controller. The signum functions are used to compensate for the uncertainties so that the agents’ accelerations can be piecewise continuous and bounded to track the desired dynamics. With proper design of the leaders’ trajectories and a geometric configuration, an affine matrix is determined so that the inter-agent relative bearings can be persistently exciting since the bearing rates are related to different weighted combinations of the affine matrix vectors. The asymptotic convergence of the estimation and control error is proved using Filipov properties and cascaded system theories. A sufficient condition for inter-agent collision avoidance is also proposed. Finally, simulation results are given to validate the effectiveness of the method.

MG6D: A Deep Fusion Approach for 6D Pose Estimation with Mamba and Graph Convolution Network

Accurate and efficient 6D pose estimation is a fundamental technology in many industrial applications. While existing dense correspondence methods have shown progress, they face challenges in multimodal feature fusion under complex scenarios involving occlusions, illumination variations, and sensor noise. This paper proposes a novel 6D pose estimation framework that addresses these limitations through a hybrid Mamba-Graph architecture. The algorithm first introduces a panoramic attention fusion Mamba module, leveraging state-space modeling to capture long-range dependencies in multi-modal data while establishing cross-dimensional interactions between channel and spatial features to emphasize critical information. A dynamic graph convolutional adaptive fusion module is then designed to enable cross-modal geometric consistency modeling via multi-modal feature integration. Finally, a texture-geometry co-driven keypoint selection mechanism is proposed to ensure keypoint distributions satisfy both spatial uniformity and discriminability requirements. Experimental results on three common datasets demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves ADD(-S) metrics of 99.82%, 80.26%, and 97.2%, respectively. Notably, it exhibits significant advantages in pose estimation for objects with repetitive textures and high symmetry. © 2013 IEEE.

Aiming at the problem of collaborative design subtasks assignment in design team, a task assignment method based on bilateral matching between subtask and designer was proposed. Firstly, the matching between subtask and designer was transformed into knowledge similarity between subtask and designer from the perspective of knowledge quantification. Secondly, according to the designer’s evaluation of the subtasks under different attributes, the designer’s acceptance of subtasks were obtained. Then, based on the principle of maximum satisfaction between the two parties, a multi-objective optimization model for collaborative design task assignment based on bilateral matching was constructed, and the improved sparrow search algorithm (ISSA) was used to solve the model. Finally, taking the crankshaft linkage mechanism produced by one enterprise as an example, the matching result of 4 subtasks and 7 designers was obtained to determine the final assignment plan. At the same time, an example of 20 subtasks assigned to 30 designers was given. After the problem was run 50 times, the average maximum matching satisfaction calculated by the ISSA and the sparrow search algorithm (SSA) is 14.729 and 14.5403 respectively, which proved that the ISSA can assign tasks more effectively than the SSA in the large-scale collaborative design task assignment problem. © 2022, Science Press.

Causal Attention Transformer for Video Text Retrieval

In the metaverse, video text retrieval is an urgent and challenging need for users in social entertainment. The current attention-based video text retrieval models have not fully explored the interaction between video and text, and only brute force feature embedding. Moreover, Due to the unsupervised nature of attention weight training, existing models have weak generalization performance for dataset bias. Essentially, the model learns that false relevant information in the data is caused by confounding factors. Therefore, this article proposes a video text retrieval method based on causal attention transformer. Assuming that the confounding factors affecting the performance of video text retrieval all come from the dataset, a structural causal model that conforms to the video text retrieval task is constructed, and the impact of confounding effects during data training is reduced by adjusting the front door. In addition, we use causal attention transformer to construct a causal inference network to extract causal features between video text pairs, and replace the similarity statistical probability with causal probability in the video text retrieval framework. Experiments are conducted on the MSR-VTT, MSVD, and LSMDC datasets, which proves the effectiveness of the retrieval model proposed in this paper. © 2025 The Author(s). Clean air actions （CAAs） in China have been linked to considerable benefits in public ***,whether the beneficial effects of CAAs are equally distributed geographically is *** high-resolution maps of the distributions of major air pollutants (fine particulate matter[PM2.5]and ozone[O3]) and population,we aimed to track spatiotemporal changes in health impacts from,and geographic inequality embedded in,the reduced exposures to PM2.5and O3from 2013 to *** used a method established by the Global Burden of Diseases *** analyzing the changes in loss of life expectancy（LLE） attributable to PM2.5and O3,we calculated the gain of life expectancy （GLE） to quantify the health benefits of the air-quality ***,we assessed the geographic inequality embedded in the GLE using the Gini index （GI）.Based on risk assessments of PM2.5and O3,during the first stage of CAAs（2013 to 2017）,the mean GLE was 1.87 *** of the sum of the GLE was disproportionally distributed in about one quarter of the population exposed （GI 0.44）.During the second stage of CAAs（2017 to 2020）,the mean GLE increased to 3.94 months and geographic inequality decreased （GI 0.18）.According to our assessments,CAAs were enhanced,from the first to second stages,in terms of not only preventing premature mortality but also ameliorating health *** enhancements were related to increased sensitivity to the health effects of air pollution and synergic control of PM2.5and *** findings will contribute to optimizing future CAAs.
