With the reduction of spectrum resources available in modern communication, higher requirements are put forward for the out of band suppression, frequency selection characteristics and signal-To-noise ratio of the filter. Based on the traditional stepped impedance resonator, a microstrip multifrequency filter based on open branch loaded stepped impedance resonator is designed and implemented in this paper. © 2022 IEEE.

The large flexible solar array for the satellite will deploy when it reaches the scheduled orbit by the space rocket, which is key for the normal running of the satellite. However, undesirable and unpredicted frequency vibration may be resulted from the flexibility of elements of the solar array. In this paper, the dynamic model of the solar panel was firstly developed based on the modal synthesis method. Moreover, the stretchable mechanism in the solar array was introduced by applying Euler-Bounerlli beam theory. Also, guide ropes, hinges and electric cables were considered in the proposed model. It was found the proposed model could achieve a high accuracy of simulation. Especially, the dependence of the guide rope tension on the deployment dynamic behavior of the solar array was explored by this model. Results showed that vibrations of the solar array could be reduced by improving the guide rope tension, which could be used in design and operation of the solar array. © 2022 Internoise 2022 - 51st International Congress and Exposition on Noise control engineering. Because the antenna is an important passive component in the RF front-end of mobile communication, some studies have found that the combination of EBG and antenna can effectively improve the performance of the antenna. In this paper, a dual band microstrip antenna based on EBG structure is designed, which improves the gain of the antenna, and the resonant frequencies are 2.4 GHz and 3.5 GHz. After simulation, the return loss at two resonant frequencies is less than-19.5 dB, which basically meets the design requirements. © 2022 IEEE.

Aiming at the high-precision time synchronization problem of aviation swarm task cooperation, a high-precision time synchronization algorithm suitable for this working environment is proposed. Based on RTT-REP principle, firstly, the influence of node mobility on synchronization accuracy under the condition of system maneuvering is analyzed, and it is proved that synchronization accuracy is closely related to relative distance and relative movement speed. Then, a method of eliminating maneuver error based on state sharing is put forward. This method shares position information through communication system, and then uses coordinate transformation to measure relative movement speed and relative distance to eliminate displacement error. Finally, the test methods are designed under static conditions in the laboratory and dynamic conditions in the field, and the performance of the system is tested. The experimental results show that the synchronization accuracy error of this system is less than 20ns, which proves that this method has high synchronization accuracy and strong practicability. © 2022 IEEE.

Hierarchical lignin-derived ordered mesoporous carbon (HOMC) was significant for advanced supercapacitors. However, achieving controllable fabrication and optimizing electrochemical behavior were challenging. In this work, an eco-friendly HOMC was synthesized using lignin as carbon precursors and Zn2+ as cross-linking and pore-forming agents, followed by KHCO3 activation, eliminating the need for toxic phenolic resins and acid treatments for metal removal. Machine learning technology, specifically an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model, was utilized to assist the experimental design and prediction. The ANN model suggested an ideal hierarchical structure and optimized oxygen level, achieved through the adjustment of Zn2+ additive concentration, carbonization temperature, and subsequent KHCO3 activation to maximize capacitance. The HOMC electrode, with a micropore-to-mesopore ratio (Smicro/Smeso) of 1.01 and an oxygen content of 8.81 at%, acquired a specific capacitance of 362 F·g−1 at 0.5 A·g−1 in 6 mol·L−1 KOH electrolyte. The assembled HOMC//HOMC supercapacitor could afford a high energy density of 33.38 Wh·kg−1 with a corresponding specific power density of 300 W·kg−1 in TEATFB/PC electrolyte. Meanwhile, the long-term cycle stability of 94.33% was achieved after 20,000 cycles. This work provides an ANN-assisted strategy for the synthesis of HOMC, highlighting its potential to valorize biomass and agricultural waste in sustainable energy storage solutions. © 2024 Institute of Process engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences

In recent years, micromanipulator with dual end-effectors called microhand has been widely used in industrial and biological fields. Whether the tip positions of the two end-effectors of the microhand can be accurately aligned seriously affects the precise grasping of the microhand. However, few researchers have presented practical ways for precisely aligning the tip positions of a 6-DOF microhand's two end- effectors. This paper proposes a novel, inexpensive, lightweight, robust, and easy-to-use microhand dual end-effectors clamping device that can precisely and quickly align the two end-effectors of a 6-DOF microhand. First, we describe the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device's lightweight structural design. After that, we simplify the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device model and create a mathematical model to determine the relationship between the end-effectors' tip position and the rotation angles of screw No.1, screw No.2, screw No.3 of the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device. Through experimentation, we are able to attain precise alignment of the two end-effectors tip positions of the 6-DOF microhand, so we confirm that our mathematical model is true. Finally, we use the impulse response of PZT in the microhand's lower module to confirm the stability of the microhand dual end- effectors clamping device. We believe that the proposed the microhand dual end-effectors clamping device has great potential in industrial and biological applications as a universal tool for precise alignment of the tip positions of the two end-effectors of a 6-DOF microhand. © 2024 IEEE.

Resilience is one of the most representative indicators in the transportation system analysis. Some of the researchers have evaluated the resilience utilizing a performance metric. However, the same weight of long-term and short-term performance leads to inaccuracy in resilience evaluation, and is particularly producing a hysteresis problem when the resilience is calculated with long-term performance only. In addition, few studies compared the road network resilience under recurring and non-recurring incidents. In this paper, we propose a metric for evaluating resilience that considers both long-term and short-term performance to overcome the hysteresis problem. Meanwhile, a resilience assessment framework is proposed for evaluating road network resilience based on the road topology and dynamic performance. In addition, we compared the resilience between recurring and non-recurring incidents using the log data of North 5th Ring Road in Beijing, China. The experimental results show that (1) the sensitive analysis demonstrates that appropriate importance factor β and period m of short term can effectively evaluate section resilience and overcome the hysteresis problem;(2) from the perspective of the road network, the minimal resilience of non-recurring incidents is approximately 35.42% lower than that of recurring incidents;and (3) to increase the resilience of the road network, the management should focus on improving the performance of relief road sections for recurring incidents and diverting the vehicles about to enter the entrance ramps in advance for non-recurring incidents. © ASCE.

We propose a method for conducting stress testing of enterprises in the real sector of the economy. The development includes the formulation and methodology for solving the inverse problem of stress testing and a predictive mathematical model based on data from open sources (companies' financial statements). The inverse task is to determine the characteristics of the financial and economic state of the enterprise, corresponding to various critical combinations of parameters of the financial result of its activities. Our original technique can significantly reduce the complexity and computational complexity of stress testing. We demonstrate our development by the stress testing backbone enterprises in the trade industry. The results obtained will find application in solving optimization problems for making decisions to increase the survivability of various sectors of the economy. © 2022 IEEE.

Steam generator is the key equipment in the large and complex nuclear power plant, and its water supply system has the characteristics of time-varying, large delay, nonlinear. In this paper, a segmented linearized model based on wavelet neural network is developed for a steam generator feedwater system of a nuclear power plant. All the data of the automation stages of the steam generator, which are steam flow rate, feedwater flow rate and liquid level from 20% load to 100% load, are collected and divided into six stages based on the characteristics of the data. For the first four stages of data, the feedwater system was modelled using the Hammerstein-Wiener method based on wavelet neural network, which was used as the nonlinear input and nonlinear output module of Hammerstein-Wiener. And for the remaining two stages of data, the nonlinear autoregressive models based on with exogenous (ARX) inputs model approach was modelled using nonlinear ARX as the underlying framework of wavelet neural network. The proposed model can be used for model predictive control to switch between different models based on load changes. Through the verification of simulation experiments, the built model can accurately reflect the trend of actual data, and the predicted values have high accuracy and reliability. © The Institution of engineering & Technology 2024.
