This paper considers the stabilization of random Boolean networks. We first give a survey on the semi-tensor product approach to Boolean (control) networks, which is a new technique developed by us. Particularly, the stability and stabilization of Boolean (control) networks are reviewed. Then, under the same framework, the topological structure of the random Boolean networks is investigated and revealed. Using it the stabilization of random Boolean networks is considered. A sufficient condition is provided. A stabilizer design method is proposed.

Coordination control of multiple rigid bodies attracts much attention of researchers due to its wide applications. This paper presents the pose synchronization problem of the moving rigid bodies whose dynamics is described by the group SE(3).The case of bidirectional neighbor graphs with switching interconnection topologies is considered. We design a distributed control law based on relative rotation matrices and relative positions between the neighboring rigid bodies, and show that the SE(3)reaches pose synchronization if and only if the neighbor graphs are infinitely jointly connected, which relaxes the theoretical results in the existing literature.

This paper studies global synchronization between a heterogeneous dynamical network and a known target trajectory via distributed impulsive control. Synchronization with an error level, called quasi-synchronization, is analyzed by utilizing the time-varying Lyapunov function. Some sufficient quasi-synchronization conditions are presented and explicit expressions of error levels are derived. Furthermore, the effects of the pinning control matrix and the coupling strength are explored. Unlike the continuous pinning feedback control, it is shown that a large coupling strength will destroy synchronization in the present of impulsive controller, which is also verified by our simulations.

A new method of image segmentation based on 3-D maximum between-cluster variance is proposed. The method uses gray distribution information, neighborhood related information and gradient structure information of pixels to construct 3-D observation space. Based on the complementation, competition and redundancy of all information, this algorithm improves the accuracy of segmentation. By applying the segmentation, predator prey particle swarm optimization (PPPSO) is used to search for the best threshold, which can reduce the searching time, and converge to global optimum rapidly. Theoretical analysis and experiment results show the superior performance of the proposed method in terms of segmentation accuracy, computation efficiency and robustness. © 2013 Binary Information Press.

Mud pulse signal extracting in Wireless measure while drilling (MWD) was a core technology in the process of oil drilling development. Whether the resolution of detected mud pulse signal start point location is accurate or not in ground decoding system would directly affect the accurate level of decoding. For the resolution problems of mud pulse signal start time position, this paper analyzed the transmission format of Manchester coded down-hole datum and transmission characteristics of mud pulse signal, using a wavelet multi-scale and related de-noising algorithm to extract mud pulse signal. According to the characteristics of the Manchester coded underground synchronization signal, It proposed an algorithm based on the combination of equal segmentations within a signal period and waveform correlation to accurately define the mud pulse signal starting time. After extracting the start time position, establishing the pulse signal recognition model within two cycles and using a pattern recognition algorithm to recognize mud pulse signal. The field tests show that the algorithm can accurately define the mud pulse signal starting time and can effectively improve the decoding accuracy and meet the requirements of engineering applications. © Sila Science. In this paper we describe the design and implementation of a current controller for a reluctance synchronous machine based on continuous set nonlinear model predictive control. A simplified experimentally identified grey box model of the flux linkage map is employed in a tracking formulation which is implemented using the high-performance framework for nonlinear model predictive control acados. The resulting controller is validated in simulation and deployed on a dSPACE real-time system connected with a physical reluctance synchronous machine. Experimental results are presented where the proposed implementation can reach sampling times in the range typical for electrical drives and outperforms state-of-the-art classical control strategies. In this paper, the problem of finite-time stability is studied for a class of networked predictive control systems with parameter uncertainties. Firstly, both the modelling uncertainties and the network-induced delays are considered. A networked predictive control scheme is proposed to actively compensate the network-induced delays. Secondly, a sufficient condition is given to ensure the finite-time stability of the augmented closed-loop system with time delay, where both bilinear matrix inequality and linear matrix inequality conditions are derived with the help of Lyapunov stability theorem. At the same time, an alternate algorithm is designed to obtain the gain matrices of observer and controller from bilinear matrix inequality and linear matrix inequality. Finally, a numerical example is given to confirm the feasibility of the proposed results.

This paper is concerned with leader-follower synchronization of complex dynamical networks with sampled-data control. By sampling the signal from the leader at some discrete time instants and using a zero-order hold function, synchronization is achieved between the network and a desired orbit, known as the leader. By applying Lyapunov functional approach and the property of the network topology matrix, a delay-dependent criterion is derived. It is shown that synchronization of N coupled dynamical systems with a leader can be recast into the stability of N decoupled systems, in which eigenvalues of the network topology matrix are involved. Finally, a chaotic neural network is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2012 Chinese Assoc of Automati.

This paper investigates the state estimation problem for a class of discrete neural networks with time-varying delays and false data injection attacks under weighted try-once-discard（WTOD） protocol. The false data injection attacks are modelled by using the Bernoulli distributed random variable. The measurements are transmitted according to the WTOD protocol in order to reduce unnecessary data transmission and alleviate the bandwidth pressure. A state estimator is designed based on the obtained measurement. By utilizing Lyapunov stability theory, sufficient conditions are given to ensure the exponentially ultimate boundedness in the mean square of error dynamics system. Then, by combining with the linear matrix inequalities（LMIs） technology, the design method of estimator parameter is given. Finally, a numerical example is provided to testify the validity of the proposed state estimation approach.
