This paper presents a parallel control system designed for managing emergent events in an urban rail transit system (URTS). The key features of the system include cloud computing, information fusion and expert systems. A multiagent approach is used for modeling diversities and interactions in the URTS. Partially due to its ability to interact with the real system via parallel execution, such a parallel control system would provide a cost-effective solution for emergency personnel training, verification of emergency measures, and validation of emergency plans and management policies. © 2012 WIT Press.

As the infrastructure of urban buildings, the building energy system is an important source of building energy consumption and carbon emissions. With the promotion of national energy-saving and emission-reduction policies, more and more new energy and renewable energy utilization technologies are put into use in the construction field. The degree of impact of these technologies on the environment from the perspective of global warming requires a reasonable evaluation. Based on big data, this paper studies the construction of the carbon emission model of the building energy system based on big data, and optimizes the calculation accuracy of carbon emission. © 2021 IEEE.

Exploring efficient materials for capturing radioactive iodine in nuclear waste is of great significance for the progress of nuclear energy as well as the protection of ecological *** organic frameworks(COFs)have emerged as promising adsorbents because of their predesignable and functionalizable skeleton ***,it remains a grand challenge to achieve large scale preparation of *** this work,we developed a mild and efficient microwave irradiation method instead of the traditional solvothermal method to prepare copper phthalocyanine-based covalent organic frameworks(Cu_(x)Pc-COFs)within only 15 *** nitrogen-rich 1,2,4,5-tetracarbonitrilebenzene(TCNB)was selected as the solely organic ligand to construct copper phthalocyanine-based 2D conjugated *** resultant Cu_(x)Pc-COFs exhibited excellent iodine enrichment with 2.99 g/g for volatile iodine and 492.27 mg/g for iodine-cyclohexane solution,respectively,outperforming that of many porous *** indicated by spectroscopic analysis and DFT calculations,this impressive adsorption performance can be attributed to the charge transfer arising from nitrogen-rich phthalocyanine structures and electron-richπ-conjugated systems with iodine ***,the strong electrostatic interaction between Cu(Ⅱ)on chelate centers and polyiodide anions(I_(x)^(-))also play an important role in the firmly trapping radioactive ***,this study provides a facile and intelligent approach to implement metal-based COFs for the remediation of toxic radioactive iodine.

The basis for the design of real-time capable control and state estimation strategies for mechanical systems with distributed parameters is the derivation of suitable system models. These models lead to state-space representations that are, on the one hand, sufficiently accurate to capture the dominant features of the system dynamics. On the other hand, the dimensionality of these models has to be limited to a reasonable size to make sure that the resulting control and state estimation approaches can be implemented in real time. Therefore, a huge amount of work has been performed in recent years which is related to early lumping techniques. By using these techniques, the governing partial differential equations are replaced by sets of ordinary differential equations before the control and estimator design is performed. In this paper, both local and global approximations of the system dynamics are compared in simulations. These approximations are determined either by using a finite element representation that is based on the Method of Integrodifferential Relations (MIDR) or, alternatively, by a global Ritz ansatz. Especially the MIDR approach allows for the derivation of system models which exactly fulfill energy conservation laws as well as boundary and inter-element conditions. © 2015, IFAC (International Federation of Automatic control) Hosting by Elsevier Ltd. Migration and release potential of nitrogen at the sediment-water interface in lakes in cold and arid regions

Lake eutrophication in cold and arid regions is showing a deepening trend in recent years,posing a serious threat to the regional ecological *** occurrence characteristics,bioavailability,sorption-desorption characteristics,and release risk of sediment nitrogen in the Ulanor Wetland,located in the Hulun Lake basin of China,were investigated by combining field investigation,laboratory simu-lation experiments,and multiple technologies,including diffusive gradients in thin films and high-resolution dialysis *** total nitrogen(TN)in the water overlying the sediment bed(i.e.,overlying water)ranged from 1.44 to 2.65 mg/*** inorganic nitrogen was the main form of TN in overlying water,and ammonia nitrogen(NH4+-N)in the pore water at the sediment-water interface was higher than that in the overlying *** sediment TN content ranged from 695.37 to 2,344.77 mg/kg,with acid-dissolved nitrogen as the main component,and can cause the lowest level of ecotoxic effect The maximum and equilibrium adsorption amounts of sediment NH4+-N ranged from 0.269 to 1.017 mg/g and 0.0132-0.0382 mg/g,*** bioavailability and transport capacity of sediment nitrogen were relatively weak,but a release risk was still observed.

Integral control on nonlinear spaces: two extensions

This paper applies the recently developed framework for integral control on nonlinear spaces to two non-standard cases. First, we show that perfect target stabilization in presence of actuation bias holds also if this bias is state dependent. This might not be surprising, but in practice it provides an easy way to robustly cancel nonlinear dynamics of the uncontrolled plant. We specifically illustrate this for robust stabilization of a pendulum at arbitrary angle. Second, as previous work has been restricted to systems with as many control inputs as configuration dimensions, we here provide results for integral control of a non-holonomic system. More precisely, we design robust steering control of a rigid body under velocity bias. © 2016

Automatic EEG spike detection provide valuable information for diagnosis of epilepsy. In the past 30 years, a number of algorithms were proposed. However, the basic idea of most algorithms is to identify spike activities. We have developed an algorithm based on identify non-spike activities for off-line analysis. In this paper, we improved the algorithm for online application using real-time template. Template method is a typical spike detection method. It was not widely employed because of the difficulty of making template. Our results suggested that multi-channel template is meaningful and effective for real-time detection. Spike activities can be detected with a delay of about 2 s. We also designed an simple user-friendly monitor interface for monitor and review spike events in real-time. © 2011 IEEE.

Catalytic urea hydrolysis by composite metal oxide catalyst towards efficient urea-based SCR process:performance evaluation and mechanism investigation

As a promising option to provide gaseous NH_(3) for SCR system,catalytic urea hydrolysis has aroused great attention,and improving surface area and activity of catalysis are the crucial issues to be solved for efficient urea ***,a composite metal oxide(TiO_(2)@Al_(2)O_(3))catalyst was prepared by a simple hydrothermal method,with mesoporous alumina(γ-Al_(2)O_(3))as *** results verify the mesoporous structure and submicron cluster of TiO_(2)@Al_(2)O_(3),with exposed crystal faces of(101)and(400)for TiO_(2)andγ-Al_(2)O_(3),*** electronegativity difference of Ti4+and Al3+changes the charge distribution scheme around the interface,which provides abundant acid/base sites to boost the urea ***,for an optimal proportioning with nano TiO_(2)content at 10 wt.%,the hydrolysis efficiency can reach up to 35.2%at 100℃ in 2 h,increasing by~7.1%than that of the blank experiment.^(13)C NMR spectrum measurements provide the impossible intermediate species during urea *** calculations are performed to clarify the efficient H_(2)O decomposition at the interface of TiO_(2)@Al_(2)O_(3).The result offers a favorable technology for energy-efficiency urea hydrolysis.

Inhibiting the deposition of N species on the catalyst surface for the targeted oxidation of NO to NO₂ is still a great challenge. Herein, a La and O dual-defective LaMnO₃ (2U-L_0.8MO) perovskite was fabricated using a urea-nonstoichiometric comodulation strategy, which achieved 97.6% NO oxidation efficiency at 210 °C and 300,000 h^-1, and was also capable of nearly 100% targeted oxidation of NO to NO₂, as well as exhibited excellent stability and recyclability. Characterizations and theoretical calculations unveiled that the urea-nonstoichiometric modulation method optimized the specific surface area and geometrical structure of perovskite, promoted the formation of La defects and oxygen vacancies (OVs), enhanced lattice oxygen activation and migration, and also facilitated the coadsorption of NO and O₂ and increased the d-band center of the perovskite. The synergistic activation of lattice oxygen and molecular oxygen along with the low-temperature oxidation mechanisms of NO was finally revealed: the comodulation strategy caused stretching and distortion of the 2U-L_0.8MO lattice, making its lattice oxygen susceptible to activation, thereby oxidizing adsorbed NO to NO₂ and simultaneously generating OVs. Afterward, O₂ would be captured by the abundant OVs on the 2U-L_0.8MO surface and converted to superoxide O₂^-, which could not only directly oxidize NO but also transform into single ¹O₂ on the adjacent Mn⁴⁺ site for the targeted oxidation of NO. This work realizes the coactivation of O₂ and lattice oxygen and also extends the understanding of the low-temperature-targeted oxidation of NO. © 2025 American Chemical Society.
