Based on the improved supply chain operations reference (SCOR) model, a network-topology structure of cycle quality chain operations reference (CQCOR) model is built up, which realizes the cycle operation by an added quality process of reverse manufacturing. The concept of cycle quality chain management is defined, and its cost structure is analyzed according to positive and reverse quality processes. If the quality level is controlled by the positive quality cost, then the reverse quality cost is a nonlinear function of quality level. All the quality processes are connected by acceptable probability, so the optimized objective function is described as a fuzzy multi-objective function comprising maximum of the total profit of quality chain, maximum of the recycling efficiency and maximum of environment protection and source saving. The effects of different quality policies on fuzzy rules are compared by a simplified example. When the policy of recycling efficiency dominates, the total quality profit will be less than that of maximum profit policy.

There have been attempts to examine technological structure and linkage as technological impact. Cross-impact analysis (CIA) has been mainly employed with cross-impact index to identify core technologies. Cross-impact index, however, cannot successfully capture the overall relationship based on the impacts among technologies. Furthermore, it is a time-consuming task to calculate all cross-impact index especially based on patents without developing computer program. To address this limitation, this study suggests new approach to identify core technologies in technological cross-impact interrelationship. Specially, the approach applied data mining technique and multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method to the co-classification information of registered patents. At first, technological cross-impact matrix is constructed with the confidence values by applying association rule mining (ARM) to the co-classification information of patents. Then, Analytic Hierarchical Process (ANP), one of MCDM methods, is employed to the constructed matrix for identifying core technologies from the perspectives of overall cross-impacts. A case study of telecommunication technology is conducted to illustrate the process of executing and utilizing the proposed approach. It is expected that suggested approach could help technology planners to formulate strategy and policy for technological innovation.

We propose the representative slice method. This method is a parameter adjustment technique for viscous fluid registration. We experiment a whole-body CT image and whole-body MRA image registration using this method. The representative slice method is mainly consisted in three steps. In the first step, we divide whole-body image into six segments (head, chest, abdomen, hips, legs, and feet). In the second step, we select representative slices from six segments. In the last step, we regulate the viscosity for viscous fluid registration from 13 values of the viscosity. The selective viscosity is provided the well alignment in each segment's slices. In this way, the parameter regulation is performed for only the representative slices. Using this method, we can save a lot of time to regulate the viscosity and other parameters in whole-body image registration. After whole-body registration, we find some misregistered area. So we define these areas as new segments, and regulate the viscosity using the representative slice method. As a result, only 109 in 1,687 slices cannot be aligned. Thus we can register almost all whole-body CT image and MRA image, and the same time, we can also register two three-dimensional human atlas images using same displacement. Copyright 2009 ACM.
