Twitter is one of the best places to learn how people feel about current affairs related to the forecast of cryptocurrencies. There have been unavailability of any robust models for determining the user-preference of the major cryptocurrencies in the market on the basis of the tweets made by the major investors. Morever, the statistical dependency and the feature importance of the various contributing features in determining the prices of these cryptocurrencies has been a major concern too. This study proposes a novel two-phase robust hybrid approach for determining both user preference and feature importance of various contributing features on pricing of top cryptocurrencies in the market. It determines the user-preference on the basis of the subjectivity and polarity score obtained from the sentiment polarity classification of the tweets. It also determines both statistical dependency and feature importance of the various contributing features involved in pricing of the top cryptocurrencies in the market with the help of SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) score. We have used two types of datasets for our detailed study. Additionally, knowledge graphs have been used to describe the capacity to recognise semantic data. With accuracy, precision, recall, F-1 score, and AUC-ROC values of 92%, 88%, 85%, 95%, and 94%, respectively our proposed approach outperformed conventional machine learning techniques. © 2023 IEEE.

This study examines how Predictive Analytics may alter company decision-making by employing sophisticated data-driven insights to improve strategic decisions. A parallel control system with proportional-derivative (PD) and sliding mode control-neural network (SMCNN) has been designed to control the position and attitude of mini-quadcopter parrot mambo mini-drone (PMD). This PDSMCNN control scheme is implemented in the PMD system through a 3D environment using MATLAB-Simulink, which represented the real conditions. The PD controller is used to reach the minimum value of the gain for the PMD getting to take-off, while the SMC as a robust controller is adjusted using a backpropagation neural network (NN) to make the PMD more robust regarding an external disturbance. The software and hardware simulation have been conducted to validate the proposed controller with a mission plan as an input. Based on the simulation results, the PD controller shows an overshoot of 26.7% then becomes 0% of overshoot when the PD-SMCNN controller is implemented. From the hardware simulation results, it is found that the PD controller has 45.1% of robustness and the PD-SMCNN controller has 100% of robustness in the absence of external disturbance. Next, it is found that the PD controller has 26.9% of robustness and the PD-SMCNN has 74.8% of robustness in the presence of external disturbance. Based on these results, indicates that the proposed PD-SMCNN controller is superior to the PD controller in terms of robustness. © 2022 IEEE.

Many nations have suffered the catastrophe of COVID-19, and one of the first countries affected by the pandemic was Iran;all industries and individuals have been adversely affected by the pandemic. Health care systems and patients’ conditions, in particular, were disrupted due to canceling elective surgery. To put it more sharply, a delay in performing elective surgery may potentially impact patients’ survival and the quality of their lives. To cope with the new situation, in the first stage, the Clean Hospital strategy was proposed in order to minimize the effects of this pandemic on elective surgical services. The mentioned strategy is a try to provide a solution and resume elective surgeries in the pandemic period. In the second stage, panel discussion, Delphi method, and the best-worst method (BWM) were employed to prioritize the factors that inhibit Coronavirus transmission. The proposed strategy and the results of this study could be used by policymakers and health departments to resume elective surgeries and control the infection to maintain a hospital or a section of it clear. The overall result of the study showed that the most important Covid-19 prevention factors in Clean Hospitals were personal protection (w = 0.212), screening checklist (w = 0.182), and check body temperature (w = 0.126), respectively (C1 > C2 > C3). According to the financial, time, and human resource limitations, first, resources were allocated to higher priority criteria, and in order of priority, all items (C1, C2, …., C9) were used in the Clean hospital strategy. © 2021 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.

Time-varying noises are one of the reasons that make it difficult for quantum systems to complete control tasks. How to quantify the influence of time-varying noises on control results and how to design a control law that can resist time-varying noises are two important problems. In this paper, the adversarial learning is introduced into quantum control and the loss function under the worst-case noise is used as a way to quantify the impact of time-varying noises on control performance. We utilize the Gradient Ascent Pulse engineering (GRAPE) technique to search the worst-case noise and meanwhile offer a strategy to improve the robustness of the control law. Simulation experiments on a two-qubit system and a four-qubit system show that the found noises indeed can act as worst-case noises. Furthermore, the optimized control laws demonstrate good robustness to time-varying noises in state preparation tasks. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper presents the control system of a mobile robot, capable of detecting, tracking and following an object of a certain color. The mobile robot was created for educational purposes, in the CIM laboratory of the University of Oradea. It is based on a crawler robot, controlled with a Raspberry Pi development system. This system controls the movements necessary for tracking the object: moving forward, backward, left turn or right turn. For detecting and locating the object, the robot is also equipped with a video camera connected to Raspberry Pi. The acquisition and processing of images in real time, provided by the camera, are performed with programming functions provided by the OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library). These functions are implemented in a control program, written in Python language. In order to facilitate the tracking of the images obtained and processed during the movements, the robot has also been provided with a graphic display connected to the Raspberry Pi board. This paper also presents the implementation of a numerical control algorithm used for tracking the objects. © 2023 IEEE.

Foremost in dealing effectively with water conflicts is comprehensive analysis. The global surge in water conflicts, coupled with the imperfect success of solutions, initiatives, and policies, calls for a critical reevaluation of the paradigms that guide approaches to water conflicts. The approach taken—conflict management, resolution, or transformation—has a decisive impact on addressing water conflicts, from the initial analysis to the crafting of policies and their practical implementation. Iran is a prime example of this, with water conflicts increasing at various scales despite concerted mitigation efforts. This paper, through a qualitative content analysis of 159 peer-reviewed papers collected via a systematic review, aims to delineate the prevailing approach to water conflict analysis within Iran's academic discourse, thereby partially shedding light on the shortcomings in both policy and practice. Water conflict resolution, and its respective models such as game theory and optimization–simulation, is the predominant approach in Iran's literature on water conflict analysis, thereby marginalizing attention dedicated to conflict management and transformation. This reflects an overarching focus on techno-economic functions to deal with water conflicts, often overlooking the myriads of managerial and societal factors. The adoption of water conflict transformation can be vital to rectify these deficits in conflict analysis, potentially with subsequent impacts on policy and practice. © 2024 Policy Studies Organization.

Due to the complexity of the task and the diversification of the scene, the traditional interactive control method can no longer meet the requirements of users. To solve this problem, a multi-modal virtual-real fusion system for multi-task human-computer interaction is proposed in this paper, which integrates eye movement, gesture and voice. Frist, aiming at the phenomenon of multi-task and multi-modal, a task-modal matching model is established. Then, the task-modal matching model is abstracted into a multi-objective optimization problem, and a method for solving this problem is designed and a matching scheme is successfully obtained. Meanwhile, the construction of the system is completed for the virtual-real fusion environment, and the control of unmanned car and virtual car is realized. The system can carry out multi-modal interaction and complete multiple tasks in real scene, virtual scene, parallel system and virtual-real fusion scene. Finally, the experiment proves the stability and reliability of the system. © 2022 IEEE.

This study aimed to examine the factors influencing the acceptance of eLearning platforms in medical education during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines, using the latent variables from the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) and two additional variables derived from relevant literature. A total of 360 medical students participated by completing an online survey comprising 40 questions. The analysis, conducted using stepwise multiple linear regression, revealed that Performance Expectancy (PE), Habit (HB), and Instructor Characteristics (IC) were significant predictors of Actual Use (AU) with an accuracy of 54.22%. Higher levels of PE, HB, and IC were found to positively influence the acceptance and utilization of medical eLearning platforms. The findings from this study can provide valuable insights for the Commission on Higher Education in the Philippines, aiding in the enhancement of eLearning platforms for medical education. Although this research primarily focused on UTAUT2 and two additional variables-Learning Value and Instructor Characteristics-the results offer substantial implications for the broader development of eLearning platforms in the medical field. © 2024 IEEE.

Lexical simplification (LS) methods based on pretrained language models have made remarkable progress, generating potential substitutes for a complex word through analysis of its contextual surroundings. However, these methods require separate pretrained models for different languages and disregard the preservation of sentence meaning. In this paper, we propose a novel multilingual LS method via paraphrase generation, as paraphrases provide diversity in word selection while preserving the sentence's meaning. We regard paraphrasing as a zero-shot translation task within multilingual neural machine translation that supports hundreds of languages. After feeding the input sentence into the encoder of paraphrase modeling, we generate the substitutes based on a novel decoding strategy that concentrates solely on the lexical variations of the complex word. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach surpasses BERT-based methods and zero-shot GPT3-based method significantly on English, Spanish, and Portuguese. © 2023 The Authors.
