Research on De-identification Applications of LLMs in Medical Records

The primary objective of this research is to develop and promote efficient and secure de-identification technology to address the application of sensitive personal information in healthcare big data. Considering the outstanding performance of large language models (such as GPT) in understanding text, we aim to utilize these advanced models to process medical records. Compared to traditional methods such as manual processing, rule-based, or machine learning methods, large language models can more effectively de-identify unstructured medical record data. We can enhance the recognition and de-identification accuracy of personal identification information in medical records through deep learning techniques. Additionally, the contextual understanding capabilities of large language models can comprehensively process medical record data, ensuring that the de-identification process does not affect the integrity and availability of medical information. Therefore, the research methodology will include model training, optimization, and validation to ensure that the developed de-identification technology achieves efficient and reliable results in practical applications. We explore different large language models, considering the diversity of personal medical data to address various de-identification needs in different medical record data. In this article, we propose three research issues for de-identification: 1) Research on the application of deep language models and de-identification technology in medical cases;2) optimization of prompt engineering to enhance de-identification of medical cases by large language models;3) Optimization and promotion of de-identification technology for practical applications in the medical. © (2025), (Femto Technique Co., Ltd.). Environmental sustainability can be achieved by fuel derived from biological origin. Many authors concluded the safe use of a lesser blend of biofuel with diesel in the engine is not sufficient to decrease the dependency on diesel. High content of biodiesel has higher viscosity which is one of the major hurdles in replacing the B20 blend and diesel as primary fuel in internal combustion engines. Preheating of fuel is a proven technique to improve the fuel properties of biofuels. The performance improvement of the Compression Ignition engine was explored by preheating the higher blends of PME (Pongamia Methyl Ester) biodiesel blends using a Waste Heat Recovery Heat Exchanger. Biodiesel blend B60 (60% biodiesel and 40% diesel) of PME is preheated from 60 to 110 °C using exhaust gas heat, and its performance characteristics are compared with the B20 blend without preheating. Combustion improved due to an increase in peak in-cylinder pressure and heat release. The thermal efficiency improved by 17.83% compared to the B20 blend. Also, the CO, HC, and Smoke were reduced by 50%, 66%, and 62% respectively compared B20 blend at 75% load and 110 °C preheating. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The growth optimizer(GO)is an innovative and robust metaheuristic optimization algorithm designed to simulate the learning and reflective processes experienced by individuals as they mature within the social ***,the original GO algorithm is constrained by two significant limitations:slow convergence and high mem-ory *** restricts its application to large-scale and complex *** address these problems,this paper proposes an innovative enhanced growth optimizer(eGO).In contrast to conventional population-based optimization algorithms,the eGO algorithm utilizes a probabilistic model,designated as the virtual population,which is capable of accurately replicating the behavior of actual populations while simultaneously reducing memory ***,this paper introduces the Lévy flight mechanism,which enhances the diversity and flexibility of the search process,thus further improving the algorithm’s global search capability and convergence *** verify the effectiveness of the eGO algorithm,a series of experiments were conducted using the CEC2014 and CEC2017 test *** results demonstrate that the eGO algorithm outperforms the original GO algorithm and other compact algorithms regarding memory usage and convergence speed,thus exhibiting powerful optimization ***,the eGO algorithm was applied to image *** a comparative analysis with the existing PSO and GO algorithms and other compact algorithms,the eGO algorithm demonstrates superior performance in image fusion.

AI and LLM technologies have emerged rapidly, creating more opportunities to develop and enhance e-learning. This paper provides a detailed account of the tools built by the current and future generations of LLMs and AI technologies for creating complex e-learning applications. It introduces the application of these tools, including innovative learning, context-awareness and intelligent learning systems. Moreover, it delves systematically into the security issues of these AI-integrated e-learning environments. The work applies strict research approaches to determine and describe possible risks in system design, data processing, and AI model deployment. We also undertake deeper penetration tests to assess the level of preparedness of these platforms against different types of attacks from the attackers such as attacks targeting the AI components, injection of unverified data and privacy violations. Our study findings reveal the opportunity to apply AI in e-learning, thus highlighting the importance of addressing these concerns. It is a complete guide for the developers and the educational institutions to integrate the LLMs and AI and keep the security strong. This paper adds to the existing literature on the role of AI in education and cybersecurity, providing essential information to the future advancements of safe and innovative e-learning systems. © 2024 IEEE.

Three approaches to processing of several reflection signals are considered in comparison - processing in the time domain, in the frequency domain and time-frequency signal processing. For processing in the time domain, a new approach is proposed to select each signal from it's mixture based on extrapolation of initially detected signals, their subtraction from the smoothed mixture of signals and phase estimation. To detect signals with similar Doppler frequency and time points of it's arrival, the time-frequency processing is proposed based on comparing the number of signals detected in time and frequency domains and comparing angular coordinates of signals' sources. The results of computer modeling of algorithms that realize different approaches are presented. The advantage of timefrequency approach is shown. © 2024 IEEE.

Modeling of an external force estimator for an end-effector of a robot by neural networks

This paper proposes a method to estimate external forces at the tip of a robot end-effector by using a neural network model. In order to avoid the use of an expensive force sensor in the training purpose, the proposed method implements the indirect training method by including the inverse dynamic model of the robot manipulator to the training algorithm with available information from a default robot system. In this method, the robot dynamics equations are necessary for the training, therefore a disturbance observer is adopted to deal with the existing uncertainties and errors. The performance of the proposed estimation method is evaluated through experiments of a 5-DOF robotic experimental platform, comparing to another existing estimation method using recurrent neural network with a type-1 disturbance observer for the external force estimation. The estimation results show that the behavior of the estimated external forces strongly correlates with the applied external forces and the proposed method is superior to the other method. © 2023 The Chinese Institute of Engineers.

The purpose of this study is to address the issue of coordination and pricing in a single-period and three-stage green supply chain in which green products and non-green products exist together and can be substituted with each other in the market. We examine the equilibrium results for two production modes, green production mode and hybrid production mode, in the cooperative and non-cooperative game to demonstrate the importance of entering supply chain members in collaboration. Theoretical analysis shows that different production costs lead the manufacturer to decide on different production modes when customers have further evaluations about various types of products. Furthermore, the results indicate that the system's performance in a cooperative game is better than that in a non-cooperative game, implying that supply chain members will respond positively to collaboration as their profit is higher than that under the non-cooperative strategy. The cooperative pricing strategy implemented by the Rubinstein bargaining model can provide the Pareto optimal solution for the supply chain system's profit and members' profits considering different production modes. Finally, the proposed model is applied to a generated numerical example to validate the suggested coordinated pricing strategy's validity and results. © 2022 IEEE.

There is no delivery method that fits all types of construction projects. Every project has its own unique complex properties that need to be analyzed before choosing the most appropriate delivery method. This is especially true for sustainable construction projects that have different characteristics from traditional projects, such as complex design and materials, higher collaboration and special contractor's skills. This paper bridges the gap in literature by adding sustainability-specific criteria to the traditional selection criteria list and evaluating the effectiveness of the three common project delivery methods: Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Design-Build (DB) and Construction management at Risk (CMR) in achieving the sustainabilityspecific criteria. A survey was administered to construction professionals in the UAE to conduct analytical Analytic hierarchy Process (AHP) pairwise comparisons between the three delivery methods against each of the selection criteria. Twenty-six responses were gathered and analyzed. The results have concluded show that the effectiveness of DBB is almost negligible in achieving the sustainability-specific criteria when compared to DB and CMR. Furthermore, DB outperformed DBB and CMR in achieving high levels of integration in construction projects. While CMR was superior to the other two delivery methods in accomplishing green contract criteria such as facilitation of flexible payment provisions as well as contractual incentive fees and awards and shared risks. Additionally, CMR and DB had relatively similar weights in achieving the green team criteria as well as technology and innovation criteria. © 2023 Computers and Industrial engineering.
