3D city models are an important cornerstone in the development of digital twin cities, allowing for various analyses and simulations. CityGML, as an open standard for 3D city models, emphasizes five main aspects: scale or level of detail (LoD), semantics, geometry, topology, and appearance. One of the important elements in CityGML 3D city models is representation of vegetation. Vegetation in CityGML, especially individual trees, is still limited in terms of detail and resolution, reducing its effectiveness for specific applications. This paper proposes a graph-based conceptual model for individual trees that conforms to the CityGML v2.0 specification. The model refers to the morphological structure of a tree consisting of roots, trunk, and crown (including branches, twigs, and leaves), and considers the five main aspects of CityGML. By enhancing semantic information and geometric details, the model aims to provide an information-rich and realistic representation of individual trees in a 3D city environment. The 3D tree model created based on this conceptual model may be applicable in the development of digital twin urban forests and virtual forest simulations that utilize immersive technologies such as the metaverse. This research opens up new opportunities in the development of solitary vegetation objects through CityGML ADE by including more detailed semantic and topological information. © Author(s) 2024.

This study used experimental and computational analysis to investigate the advanced oxidation of bisphenol A (BPA) and 2,4 dinitroanisole (DNAN). The pseudo first-order reaction rate constants depended on the molar peroxide ratio and were between 0.13 and 0.28 per min for BPA and between 0.018 and 0.032 per min for DNAN. Hydroxyl radical scavenging was strongly implicated by the experimental results. The kinetic differences appear to be due in part to the energy requirement for oxidation, which was 9.32 kcal/mol for BPA and 36.37 kcal/mol for DNAN. Transformation pathways were analyzed using Density Functional Theory (DFT), which helped to predict the presence of experimentally-detected byproducts. The most energetically favored pathway for BPA oxidation begins with formation of hydroxylated derivatives, while for DNAN the most energetically favorable degradation pathway begins with substitution of methoxy group. Overall, these findings demonstrate the power of combining experimental and computational tools to reveal transformation mechanisms for emerging water pollutants. © 2023, The Authors. Online games display a unique market with a promising economy; hence many developer companies are exploring and have been utilizing this technology because of good possibility in recent years. This study aimed to determine the composition of online game attribute that is most preferred by customers using a Conjoint Analysis Approach. This study utilized different attributes such as graphics, player-to-player interaction, character creation freedom, game accessibility, monetization, storyline, and business model. An orthogonal design of conjoint analysis was utilized to assess customer preference for online games. A survey was proposed to a community of online game players and segmented among their gender, age, and income. The results showed that business model was the most considered attribute while accessibility and monetization were the least preferred. The findings of this study could be beneficial to both technology corporations developing products that fit their target customers and customers making most of their investment.

Internet has evolved from a basic communication medium into wide networks of communication networks where it has become integrated in people's daily lives. Not only that, because of the recent pandemic, the demand for internet has been rapidly increasing. With the integration of internet to our day to day interactions, choosing a provider that is inclined with consumers preference and usage should be the basis. This study aims to determine the Filipino consumer preference on choosing Fixed line internet service providers using Conjoint analysis. The method uses survey questionnaires that is disseminated across the regions of the Philippines. The data gathered from the survey are analyzed using SPSS. The result shows that out of all the attributes considered internet speed is the top priority of the consumers followed by pricing and brand. Overall, this study is beneficial in developing market strategies for companies in the telecommunications industry.

The production and delivery of ready-mixed concrete consist of several activities which expose employees to considerable safety hazards that lead to occupational accidents. The study aimed to determine the significant factors contributing to non-fatal occupational accidents in the ready-mixed concrete industry in Qatar. A total of 84 non-fatal occupational accidents were collected from a ready-mixed concrete company in Qatar. A coding scheme was developed based on available literature and the company's existing classification to analyze each accident in terms of employee, injury, and accident characteristics. Cross-tabulation analysis was used to determine the associations between categorical factors. Frequency distribution showed that regular employees aged between 25 and 44 years old were mostly involved in accidents, with hand/arm and leg/foot being mostly injured. The most common accident types were struck by an object (44%), slip, trip or fall on the same level (23.8%), and caught in between objects (17.9%). The majority of work-related accidents (71%) could be attributed to unsafe behavior, particularly due to improper use of PPE. Strong significant associations were observed between activity type and accident root cause, as well as injured body type and accident root cause. The significant factors contributing to non-fatal occupational accidents were determined through the study. The insights obtained from this study could be used by the company in designing a comprehensive safety management program with the goal of driving occupational injuries to a lower level. © 2022 IEEE.

Delivering a high service quality under the safety protocol of COVID-19 is very essential for the sustainable airport operations. The study was intended to determine the impact of COVID-19 on Airport Service Quality (ASQ), customer satisfaction, and travel intention by utilizing a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach. A total of 517 Filipinos voluntarily answered an online questionnaire that consists of 92 questions. SEM indicated that the security check, terminal facilities, and services had significant effects on perceived value which subsequently led to customer satisfaction. In addition, travel safety measures had direct effects on Filipinos' travel intention and customer satisfaction. Interestingly, service innovations had no significant impact on customer satisfaction but directly affected travel intention. By understanding the relationship between these factors, airport management could have better decision-making while efficiently and effectively utilizing the resources in these times of uncertainty. © 2022 IEEE.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, employees are required to respond to changes and conform to stringent safety laws and regulations. This study aimed to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the organizational commitment among employees in the semiconductor industry. A total of 272 employees working in the semiconductor industry answered a self-administered questionnaire that considered 51 questions, distributed online. Utilizing Structural equation modeling (SEM), the results showed that the COVID-19 was found to have a significant direct effect on employees' perceived job outcomes (PO) and a negative direct effect on job demands (JD). Moreover, PO had a positive effect on job motivation (JM) and job satisfaction (JS). Subsequently, JM presented a significant positive direct effect on JS, while JD showed a negative effect on JS. Lastly, JS showed a significant positive direct effect on organizational commitment (OC). Intriguingly, an indirect effect of PO on JS was seen. This study is one of the first studies that analyzed the organization commitment among semiconductor workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper could be utilized as a foundation to enhance organizational commitment, particularly in the semiconductor industry worldwide. © 2022 IEEE.

This study focuses on the brainwave analysis of the correlation between listening to the rain and water sounds and reducing human-perceived temperature. Brainwave changes are monitored when experimental subjects listen to rain and water sounds at various frequencies. The experiment result shows that listening to the sounds of rain and water in an environment of high temperature and high humidity can boost α waves to induce feelings of calm and relaxed mental state. In order to investigate subjects’ psychological and physiological changes induced by brainwave changes while listening to rain and water sounds for different time durations in a high temperature and humidity environment, this study uses the Fourier transform to obtain the spectra of natural rain/water sounds and analyzes the sound frequencies. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Information Technology (IT) project management is important for the growth of organizations. It involves planning and executing projects to achieve strategic objectives. This paper reviews IT project management methodologies and critical success factors to identify best practices for project success. This paper uses a literature review and analysis of the current state of the art of IT project management methodologies. A total of 39 articles were selected and reviewed. The results of the review include a comparison of the main IT project management methodologies and the critical success factors for project success. The conclusion of the paper is that Hybrid Project management Models are a promising approach for IT project management. This approach combines the foundations and best practices of traditional and agile project management methodologies, making it well-suited for the complex and dynamic nature of IT projects. Additionally, the paper identifies the following critical success factors for IT project success: Clear and well-defined project objectives, Effective communication and collaboration between stakeholders, Appropriate risk management and contingency planning, Strong leadership and project management skills and Adequate resources and support.
