Aiming at intercepting large maneuvering targets precisely,the guidance law of advanced self-seeking missiles requires not only inertial line-of-sight(LOS)angular rate but also target maneuvering ***,the semi-strapdown stabilization platform has lost the ability to measure the inertial LOS angular rate directly,which needs to be extracted by numerical *** differential operation commonly used in traditional methods can magnify the measurement error of the sensor,resulting in insufficient calculation accuracy of the line-of-sight angular *** analyzing the mathematical relationship between the missile-target relative motion and the angle tracking system,a multi-process-fusion integrated filter model of relative motion and angle tracking is *** overcome the defect that the infrared seeker cannot directly measure the missile-target distance,following the snake-hot-eye visual mechanism,a visual bionic imaging guidance method of estimating the missile-target relative distance from the infrared images is proposed to improve the observability of the filter ***,target-tracking simulations verify that the estimation accuracy of target acceleration is improved by four times.

Activated red mud(RM)has been proved to be a promising base material for the selective catalysis reduction(SCR)of *** inherent low reducibility and acidity limited its low-temperature *** this work,molybdenum oxide,tungsten oxide,and cerium oxide were used to reconfigure the redox sites and acid sites of red mud based *** activated red mud was reconfigured by cerium-tungsten oxide(Ce-W@RM),the NOx conversion kept above 90%at 219-480℃.The existence of Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+) redox electron pairs provided more surface adsorbed oxygen(O_(α)) and served as a redox *** interactions between Ce,W species and Fe oxide in red mud occurred,which led to the formation of unsaturated chemical bond and promoted the activation of adsorbed NH_(3) ***_(3) and Ce_(2)(WO_(4))_(3)(formed by solid-state reaction between Ce and W species)could provide more Brønsted acid sites(W-O modes of WO_(3),W=O or W-O-W modes of Ce_(2)(WO_(4))_(3)).CeO_(2) species could provide more Lewis acid *** Langmuir-Hinshelwood(L-H)routes and Eley-Rideal(E-R)routes occurred in the low-temperature SCR reaction on the Ce-W@RM ***_(4)^(+) species on Brønsted acid sites,NH_(3) species on Lewis acid sites,bidentate nitrate and bridging nitrate species were key active intermediates species.

The rapid development of the Internet has revo-lutionized our lives, providing us with an array of convenient services. However, this revolution has also led to the problem of data overload. Personalized recommendation services have been widely recognized as an effective solution to this problem by both the industrial and academic communities. Accurate prediction of click-through rate (CTR) is a critical task in personalized recommendation systems since it can improve the user's shopping experience, ultimately increasing revenue for the platform. To achieve accurate CTR prediction, it is crucial to capture user interests. While several methods for interest modeling exist, challenges related to user interest evolution and user behavior noise need further attention. This paper proposes a novel CTR prediction model named the Evolutionary Interest Representation Network (EIRN), which learns the evolving interest representation of users from their behaviors, profiles, and environmental attributes. In the model, we introduce an advertisement correlation graph decomposition layer and a noise filter layer to enhance and purify the user behavior representation. An interest extraction layer is designed to capture sequential correlations and common characteristics between user behaviors, representing their interests. Additionally, as user interests evolve over time and their importance changes, an attention-based interest evolution layer is designed to track the evolution of user interests. Our proposed method is validated using four public datasets and an industrial dataset, showing its superiority over existing CTR prediction methods. © 2023 IEEE.

Impact of the Phase Change Contributing Factors on the Dynamical Characteristics of a Pulsating Heat Pipe

A theoretical investigation of the effect of the factors contributing to the phase change in the operation of a pulsating heat pipe has been conducted using a nonlinear mathematical model. With the help of bifurcation analysis and eigenvalue analysis, the identification of sudden change in the dynamic behaviour for varying factors (namely, phase change limit, wall temperature gradient, and evaporation rate) provides insightful revelations on the suitable combinations of these factors to harvest an optimized output to enhance the heat transfer mechanism. In accordance with the eigenvalue analysis, codimension one bifurcation analysis provides different regions with varying operating characteristics. In addition, codimension two bifurcation analysis has partitioned the parameter space into distinct regimes. The temporal evolution of the position of the liquid slug, which is determined by the phase change of the system, has shown that the evaporation rate has a very small unstable oscillatory regime, and therefore, is necessary to be kept in the unstable region to harvest a maximum heat output through the self-sustained oscillation. It has also indicated that any combination of the other two parameters provided that one of them is in an unstable region, is feasible for the continuous operation of PHP. © 2024, The Authors. The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is revolutionizing industries through device interconnectivity, enabling real-time data collection and transmission for enhanced monitoring, control, and automation. This has led to improvements in predictive maintenance, production optimization, and supply chain management. The integration of machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) within IIoT has been accelerated by increased data availability, computational advancements, and algorithmic innovations, with applications ranging from image processing to autonomous vehicles. Foundation models, such as ChatGPT, are becoming prevalent in IIoT for their capabilities in natural language processing and computer vision. However, the growth of IIoT and foundation models presents challenges, including data volume, real-time processing requirements, computational costs, and security vulnerabilities. Federated learning (FL) addresses these issues by allowing distributed model training without raw data transfer, enhancing privacy and security. FL is particularly beneficial for IIoT’s decentralized architecture and real-time decision-making needs. Despite the advantages, FL faces challenges such as data heterogeneity and communication overhead. To overcome these, we propose a federated learning framework, Fed-CCSQMA, which includes client selection and model aggregation modules to mitigate data heterogeneity’s impact. The client selection module uses Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and clustering to select clients with diverse yet representative data, while the model aggregation module assigns weights based on model accuracy to ensure faster global model convergence. We test our proposed framework on FMNIST and CIFAR-10 datasets, with accuracy surpassing baseline methods and faster convergence, demonstrating an improvement in overall generalizability and learning efficiency. © 2014 IEEE.

An attempt is made to propose a data-driven approach for detecting islanding in large-scale power systems. The method utilizes data collected by phasor measurement units (PMUs) to develop an equivalent model of the system. In this model, the system is represented by multiple centers of inertia (COIs) linked to a central point known as the center of gravity (COG) through fictitious reactances. These reactances, which are interpreted as the electrical distances between the local COIs and the COG, serve as a valuable indicator for detecting islanding. The occurrence of islanding can be identified by comparing the temporal trends of electrical distance variations across different areas. The effectiveness of the proposed methodologies is evaluated using simulated data from the 73-bus IEEE test system.

Current risk assessment ignores the stochastic nature of energy storage availability itself and thus lead to potential risk during operation. This paper proposes the redefinition of generic energy storage (GES) that is allowed to offer probabilistic reserve. A data-driven unified model with exogenous and endogenous uncertainty (EXU & EDU) description is presented for four typical types of GES. Moreover, risk indices are proposed to assess the impact of overlooking (EXU & EDU) of GES. Comparative results between EXU & EDU are illustrated in distribution system with day-ahead chance-constrained optimization (CCO) and more severe risks are observed for the latter, which indicate that system operator (SO) should adopt novel strategies for EDU uncertainty. © 2022 IEEE.

Multi-Objective Model-Predictive Control for Dielectric Elastomer Wave Harvesters

This contribution deals with multi-objective model-predictive control (MPC) of a wave energy converter (WEC) device concept, which can harvest energy from sea waves using a dielectric elastomer generator (DEG) power take-off system. We aim to maximise the extracted energy through control while minimising the accumulated damage to the DEG. With reference to system operation in stochastic waves, we first generate ground truth solutions by solving an optimal control problem, comparing it to the performance of MPC to determine a prediction horizon that trades off accuracy and efficiency for computation. Fixed weights in the MPC scheme can produce unpredictable costs for variable sea conditions, meaning the average rate of cost accumulation can vary vastly. To steer this cost growth, we propose a heuristic to adapt the algorithm by changing the weighting of the cost functions for fulfilling the long-time goal of accumulating a small enough damage in a fixed time. A simulated case-study is presented in order to evaluate the performance of the proposed MPC framework and the weight-adaptation algorithm. The proposed heuristic proves to be able to limit the amount of accumulated damage while improving the energy yield obtained with a comparable fixed-weight MPC.
