Driven by advances in generative artificial intelligence (AI) techniques and algorithms, the widespread adoption of AI-generated content (AIGC) has emerged, allowing for the generation of diverse and high-quality content. Especially, the diffusion model-based AIGC technique has been widely used to generate content in a variety of modalities. However, the real-world implementation of AIGC models, particularly on resource-constrained devices such as mobile phones, introduces significant challenges related to energy consumption and privacy concerns. To further promote the realization of ubiquitous AIGC services, we propose a novel collaborative distributed diffusion-based AIGC framework. By capitalizing on collaboration among devices in wireless networks, the proposed framework facilitates the efficient execution of AIGC tasks, optimizing edge computation resource utilization. Furthermore, we examine the practical implementation of the denoising steps on mobile phones, the impact of the proposed approach on the wireless network-aided AIGC landscape, and the future opportunities associated with its real-world integration. The contributions of this paper not only offer a promising solution to the existing limitations of AIGC services but also pave the way for future research in device collaboration, resource optimization, and the seamless delivery of AIGC services across various devices. Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC) refers to the use of AI to automate the information creation process while fulfilling the personalized requirements of users. However, due to the instability of AIGC models, e.g., the stochastic nature of diffusion models, the quality and accuracy of the generated content can vary significantly. In wireless edge networks, the transmission of incorrectly generated content may unnecessarily consume network resources. Thus, a dynamic AIGC service provider (ASP) selection scheme is required to enable users to connect to the most suited ASP, improving the users’ satisfaction and quality of generated content. In this article, we first review the AIGC techniques and their applications in wireless networks. We then present the AIGC-as-a-service (AaaS) concept and discuss the challenges in deploying AaaS at the edge networks. Yet, it is essential to have performance metrics to evaluate the accuracy of AIGC services. Thus, we introduce several image-based perceived quality evaluation metrics. Then, we propose a general and effective model to illustrate the relationship between computational resources and user-perceived quality evaluation metrics. To achieve efficient AaaS and maximize the quality of generated content in wireless edge networks, we propose a deep reinforcement learning-enabled algorithm for the optimal ASP selection. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can provide a higher quality of generated content to users and achieve fewer crashed tasks by comparing with four benchmarks, i.e., overloading-avoidance, random, round-robin policies, and the upper-bound schemes. © 2023, CC BY.

Knowledge is an important asset in an organization. Aru Islands District is one of the districts in Maluku Province. The Government of Aru Islands District Maluku has a vision and mission as outlined in the Regional Strategic Plan or commonly referred to as RENSTRA. This vision and mission are an activity that requires a policy direction that is planned and integrated with the strategic environment of all related aspects. The strategic plan is then realized with the implementation of the government with regional autonomy which is the modern governance in realizing quality public services, fast, easy, fair and unlimited for the welfare and progress of the region. The current pandemic has adversely affected oxygen production and supply chain, where oxygen treatment is essential for the emergency treatment protocol of patients infected by the virus. This work reports on various techniques of oxygen generation methods, as well as the challenges facing its production, storage, and transportation. Moreover, this study offers a comparative analysis of various oxygen production techniques using Multi-Criteria Decision-Making Methods (MCDM). Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS), in addition to the weighting methodologies, Multiplicative Exponential Weighting (MEW) and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) are chosen as tools to carry out the statistical analysis and rank the oxygen production methods. The ranking criteria includes cost, performance, environmental impact and safety. Moreover, this paper utilizes the Entropy Weight Method (EWM), Criteria Importance Through Inter-criteria Correlation (CRITIC) method, and the Stochastic Dominance (SD) method to distribute the criteria weights. The results show thar oxygen production using membrane technologies is the optimal technique based on all the provided tools and criteria. as it attained the maximum Entropy and Sd values of 0.548 through the TOPSIS method, and the highest CRITIC value through SAW and MEW methods which were 0.260 and 0.236, respectively. © 2022 The Author(s)

North Carolina is the third most hurricane-prone states in the US. In 2018, Hurricane Florence caused a lot of damages to households in North Carolina. The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina (FBCENC) serves 34 counties in North Carolina, and 22 of them were affected by Hurricane Florence. This research aims to investigate the impact of Hurricane Florence on the operations of FBCENC. We developed interactive dashboards to visualize food bank operational data and other relevant data and studied the trends and patterns of food distribution in three key stages: preparedness, response, and recovery. These dashboards enable food bank operations managers to explore and interact with the data with ease to explore the operational data at different stages, at different branch level, and on a different time scale (monthly, weekly, or daily). The impact on the operations of affected service areas vs. not affected areas could be investigated as well. The findings of this research will provide insight into how humanitarian relief agencies can better prepare for, respond to, and recover from the disruptions caused by hurricanes. © 2020 IEEE.

ERP systems are merging their powers to generate a dynamic collaboration. By examining the integration between RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, we can identify their shared potential for enhancing process flow. Combining automation and ERP integration makes RPA a powerful tool for process management across multiple industries. The paper examines the basics of RPA and its ERP integration, highlighting the advantages of enhanced productivity and fewer errors. Addressing security, compliance, and change management issues simultaneously. In addition to top-down and bottom-up methods, process analysis and selecting suitable processes are covered. Practical examples offer insightful observations on this integration’s success. The union of RPA and ERP creates a powerful combination that can elevate operational effectiveness, facilitate strategic insights, and reshape the workplace.

The paper investigates incorporating and implementing RPA and AI technologies within NFS to improve efficiency and boost service quality. Robotic Process Automation enables the streamlining of repetitive processes. It simplifies work processes and releases personnel for more critical projects. On the contrary, AI strengthens NFS providers via data-informed decision-making. Additionally, it facilitates anticipatory maintenance and preemptive network administration. The document explores particular RPA and cognitive computing instances, including AI-powered network issue resolution and AI-driven preventive maintenance for the network hardware. Furthermore, it emphasizes the advantages and constraints of adopting robotic process automation and artificial intelligence within the NFS framework. It considers aspects including data handling, growth potential, and moral implications. Prospects for the future related to RPA and AI within the NFS domain are also analyzed. It foresees self-governing network management, sophisticated predictive analytics, and merging with IoT and edge computing technologies. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the factors affecting the passenger traffic volume on the high-capacity MRT, to analyze the traffic volume trends, and to make traffic volume predictions more accurately. This paper uses the LSTM (Long Short-term Memory) model and regression analysis for Taipei MRT passenger traffic volume prediction. The training data, including dates, temperatures and number of passengers, were collected, and a regression analysis was performed to find trends in the data.

Early recognition of clinical deterioration (CD) has vital importance in patients' survival from exacerbation or death. Electronic health records (EHRs) data have been widely employed in Early Warning Scores (EWS) to measure CD risk in hospitalized patients. Recently, EHRs data have been utilized in Machine Learning (ML) models to predict mortality and CD. The ML models have shown superior performance in CD prediction compared to EWS. Since EHRs data are structured and tabular, conventional ML models are generally applied to them, and less effort is put into evaluating the artificial neural network's performance on EHRs data. Thus, in this article, an extremely boosted neural network (XBNet) is used to predict CD, and its performance is compared to eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) and random forest (RF) models. For this purpose, 103,105 samples from thirteen Brazilian hospitals are used to generate the models. Moreover, the principal component analysis (PCA) is employed to verify whether it can improve the adopted models' performance. The performance of ML models and Modified Early Warning Score (MEWS), an EWS candidate, are evaluated in CD prediction regarding the accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and geometric mean (G-mean) metrics in a 10-fold cross-validation approach. In the era of the global village, frequent cross-border trade in goods has made container transportation a significant part in delivery of cargo. However, rollover accidents of container trucks often occur because of tall truck height, improper cargo stowage or crooked roads. Therefore, how to find the optimal center of gravity (CG) of the packed cargo remains an issue that the transportation industry should not neglect. To optimize cargo stability and reduce the incidence of rollovers, this paper proposes a genetic algorithm that scores the cargo stacking process to find the best CG of the cargo based on the CG of the vehicle. According to the deviation angle and the point closest to the best CG, we can Figure out the optimal cargo stacking method.
