Rautio:founded Sonnet Software a developer of 3-D planar electromagnetic microwave software in 1983 with support from the David Sarnoff Research Center Hewlett Packard General Electric and Syracuse University. He has served as a visiting member of the faculty at Syracuse University and as an adjunct faculty member at Cornell University teaching microwave and computer courses as well as pursuing research in electromagnetics. Dr. Rautio previously worked in General Electric's Space Division and Electronics Laboratory. He designed microwave circuits including filters for a Landsat receiver and various GaAs microwave integrated circuits. He also developed microwave and millimeter wave automated measurement equipment and wrote a large microwave circuit analysis program. Dr. Rautio holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University an MS in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University

Bamberger:was born on January 30 1965 in Buenos Aires Argentina. He received his B.E.E and PhD from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1986 and 1990 respectively. Currently Dr. Bamberger is an assistant professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Washington State University. Dr. Bamberger's research program is focused on the design implementation and application of multidimensional multirate filter banks subband image and video compression analysis of nonstationary data and application of digital signal processing techniques in the design of analog and mixed-mode integrated circuits. Dr. Bamberger is the founder and director of the Signal Processing Instructional Facility (SPIF Lab) at Washington State University. The SPIF Lab features interactive multimedia-based tools for teaching concepts related to linear systems theory. Dr. Bamberger is active in developing multimedia-based instructional laboratories for a variety of other topics as well. In addition to his teaching and research programs Dr. Bamberger is an associate editor for theIEEE Transactions on Signal Processingand a member of the editorial board forComputer Applications in Engineering Education. Dr. Bamberger is also advisor to the WSU Student Branch of the IEEE and assistant director of the WSU Cougar Marching Band. (Bob) Harris (S'69–M'70) received the PhD from the University of Southampton. England in 1971. In 1970 he joined the European Space Agency (then ESRO). based at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) Noordwijk. The Netherlandswas working on telemetry and telecommand systems. Since 1978 he has been Head of the Transmision Techniques Section in the Directorate of Telecom munications. He is responsible for software development and special trials support. He has led the Flooding Casualty Control Software (FCCS) development effort since joining AME in 1989. He is also responsible for the material handling strikedown and stowage (MHS&S) software development program as well as special trials support for the ACVLAP and T-AGOS 19 programs. Prior to joining AME Mr. Zahn spent nine years with various companies of the ARCTEC Group. His experience includes field trials in venues from the Caribbean to the Bering Sea as well as model tests and engineering design and development efforts. Mr. Zahn received his B.S. in naval architecture and marine engineering from Webb Institute in 1980 and has published various papers on pollution prevention offshore systems and icebreaker design and performance. He is a member of ASNE and SNAME. John Rosborough:has been a naval architect for the Naval Sea Systems Command (NavSea) for the past 15 years. He is currently assigned to the Hydrodynamics Division with responsibility for aircraft carrier stability evaluations and as a task leader for computer-aided ship design development. In the Stability Division he was previously responsible for stability analyses on various amphibious ships SWATHs and foreign ships. He manages the upgrade and augmentation of SHCP at NavSea and is the Navy's technical point of contact for evaluating shipboard stability software and transitioning technology to the fleet. Mr. Rosborough received his B.S. in naval architecture and marine engineering from the University of Michigan in 1977. He is a member of USNI and the Association of Scientists and Engineers at NavSea. Richard Carlstrom:is a naval architect with Advanced Marine Enterprises. 作者: SIMPSON, HL FAMME, JB TAYLOR, B Joseph Famme:is the manager of marine systems CAE-Link Silver Spring Maryland. Mr. Famme joined Link in 1983 where he is responsible for developing marine products including digital control and monitoring systems for ships and submarines. Prior to joining Link then Commander Famme served in the U.S. Navy in all shipboard assignments including command of an FF-1052 class frigate. His engineering duties included supervising new construction sea trials and major mid-life ship overhauls. Mr. Famme has written concept papers defining architectures for future platform control systems and has worked within the simulation industry to introduce the use of distributed computer-based systems for training. He is currently working with various naval organizations and shipbuilding companies to develop the next generation of integrated digital control systems for ships and submarines. Barry Taylor:is the manager of marine systems at CAE Electronics Montreal Canada. CAE is currently supplying the integrated control systems for four classes of ships: the Canadian Patrol Frigate the DDH-280 the USN MHC-51 Minehunter and the SA'AR 5 corvette under construction at Litton - Ingalls Shipbuilding. Prior to joining CAE Electronics in 1987 then Commander Taylor served in the Canadian Navy as an engineering duty officer. His tours included sea duty as the engineering officer on five ships and shore duty assignments including one in the Directorate responsible for ship machinery control systems in the Canadian Navy. Commander Taylor was also the program manager for the Shipboard Integrated Machinery Control System Advanced Development Model (SHINMACS ADM). He has had numerous papers published on integrated ship control systems.
