The intuitive fuzzy set has found important application in decision-making and machine *** enrich and utilize the intuitive fuzzy set,this study designed and developed a deep neural network-based glaucoma eye detection using fuzzy difference equations in the domain where the retinal images *** image detections are categorized as normal eye recognition,suspected glaucomatous eye recognition,and glaucomatous eye *** degrees associated with weighted values are calculated to determine the level of concentration between the fuzzy partition and the retinal *** proposed model was used to diagnose glaucoma using retinal images and involved utilizing the Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)and deep learning to identify the fuzzy weighted regularization between *** methodology was used to clarify the input images and make them adequate for the process of glaucoma *** objective of this study was to propose a novel approach to the early diagnosis of glaucoma using the Fuzzy Expert System(FES)and Fuzzy differential equation(FDE).The intensities of the different regions in the images and their respective peak levels were *** the peak regions were identified,the recurrence relationships among those peaks were then *** partitioning was done due to varying degrees of similar and dissimilar concentrations in the *** and dissimilar concentration levels and spatial frequency generated a threshold image from the combined fuzzy matrix and *** distinguished between a normal and abnormal eye condition,thus detecting patients with glaucomatous eyes.

During ladle stirring,a gas is injected into the steel bath to generate a mixing of the liquid *** optimal process control requires a reliable measurement of the stirring intensity,for which the induced ladle wall vibrations have proved to be a potential *** experimental cold water ladle with two eccentric nozzles and eight mono-axial accelerometers was thus investigated to measure the *** effect of the sensors'positions with respect to the gas plugs on the vibration intensity was analyzed,and experimental data on several points of the ladle were collected for future numerical *** is shown that the vibration root-mean-square values depend not only on process parameters,such as gas flow rate,water,and oil heights,but also on the radial and axial positions of the *** vibration intensity is clearly higher,close to the gas plumes,than in the opposite *** one of the nozzles is clogged,the vibration intensity close to the clogged nozzle drops drastically(-36 to-59%),while the vibrations close to the normal operating nozzle are hardly *** on these results,guidelines are provided for an optimized vibration-based stirring.

This paper deals with the construction and study of a model of economic growth that takes into account those migration flows that add to labor. The model is based on the Cobb-Douglas production function;one of the factors of this function is the aggregate labor. We distinguish between skilled and unskilled labor, as they contribute differently to the output, and between native and migrant labor as they have different dynamics. The migration flow in each labor class is assumed to be proportional to the difference between the average level of consumption in this category and an exogenously given function, which describes the level of consumption in the source countries of labor migrants. Special attention is given to migration crises. The study of the model is aimed at analyzing the impact of migration flows and migration crises on economic growth and inequality. © 2019 IEEE.

In this paper we present a novel approach for 3D facial expression recognition based on a registration method. The used registration method, called the Coherent Point Drift (CPD), is applied to estimate complex non-linear and nonrigid transformation between 3D facial surfaces. The computed transformation allows to recover shape deformations that are induced by facial expression variations. Machine learning is applied using Dimensionality reduction methods in order to promote the computational efficiency and Support Vector Machine (SVM) for classification. The obtained experimental results show that our method achieves promising recognition rates on Bhosphorus database. © 2016 IEEE.

In this paper, we attempt to provide a data driven solution to model groundwater levels in the Grootfontein Aquifer in the North West Province of South Africa by testing several predictive models. Groundwater plays a crucial role in supplying water to a significant part of the population for agricultural, industrial, environmental and/or domestic use. Recent advancements in data analytics, and the analysis of large data sets has allowed the production of powerful predictive models. Five different data driven techniques namely, support vector regression, gradient boosting trees, decision trees, random forest regression and multilayer feed-forward neural network techniques were applied to predict groundwater levels. Modelling was carried out for four boreholes located in the Grootfontein dolomite aquifer considering discharge, rainfall and temperature as model inputs. Five site specific models were developed for each borehole. Model performance was evaluated using coefficient of determination and root mean squared error. Comparison of goodness of fit revealed that data driven methods can indeed capture the trend of water level fluctuations in the aquifer sufficiently with the GB algorithm performing better than other algorithms in both the training and verification stages. Whilst the models performed adequately when predicting groundwater level on a monthly basis for 36 months, further investigation is needed towards determining their efficacy in longer term projections to assist in the decision making process of sustainable groundwater use. This paper provides the following contributions: (a) a ranking of the attributes according to their mutual information (MI);(b) a reference for model selection;and (c) a predictive model to forecast groundwater levels in the Grootfontein aquifer. © 2020 IEEE.

A priority queueing model with many types of requests and restricted processor sharing is considered. A novel discipline of requests admission and service is proposed. This discipline assumes restriction of the bandwidth (capacity) of the server and the number of requests that can receive service in the system at the same time. This discipline is some kind of realistic hybrid of the traditional discipline of service in a multi-server system and the discipline of the limited processor sharing. The requests of the highest priority can push out from the service the low priority requests. Therefore, the important problem is fitting of the number of requests that can receive service at the same time to the bandwidth of the server. This problem is solved via construction and analysis of a multi-dimensional Markov chain describing operation of the system under any fixed set of the system parameters. © 2022, The Author(s).
