Green hydrogen production is crucial for a sustainable future,but current catalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)suffer from slow kinetics,despite many efforts to produce optimal designs,particularly through the calculation of descriptors for *** this study,we develop a dataset of density functional theory calculations of bulk and surface perovskite oxides,and adsorption energies of OER intermediates,which includes compositions up to quaternary and facets up to(555).We demonstrate that per-site properties of perovskite oxides such as Bader charge or band center can be tuned through element substitution and faceting,and develop a machine learning model that accurately predicts these properties directly from the local chemical *** leverage these per-site properties to identify promising perovskites with high theoretical OER *** identified design principles and promising materials provide a roadmap for closing the gap between current artificial catalysts and biological enzymes such as photosystem II.

The long-term preservation of large volumes of infrequently accessed cold data poses challenges to the storage community. Deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA) is considered a promising solution due to its inherent physical stability and significant storage density. The information density and decoding sequence coverage are two important metrics that influence the efficiency of DNA data storage. In this study, we propose a novel coding scheme called the DNA palette code, which is suitable for cold data, especially time-series archival datasets. These datasets are not frequently accessed, but require reliable long-term storage for retrospective research. The DNA palette code employs unordered combinations of index-free oligonucleotides to represent binary information. It can achieve high net information density encoding and lossless decoding with low sequencing coverage. When sequencing reads are corrupted, it can still effectively recover partial information, preventing the complete failure of file retrieval. The in vitro testing of clinical brain magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) data storage, as well as simulation validations using large-scale public MRI datasets(10 GB), planetary science datasets and meteorological datasets, demonstrates the advantages of our coding scheme, including high net information density, low decoding sequence coverage and wide applicability.

Solid-liquid suspension in stirred tank is a common operation in the chemical industry. The power consumption, flow pattern and flow field instability of three systems named as unbaffled stirred tank, traditional baffled stirred tank and punched baffled stirred tank(Pun-BST) were studied by using the computational fluid dynamic analysis. Results showed that perforating holes in the baffles could reduce power consumption of mixing. Meanwhile, the punched baffle system could maintain the solids in suspension as traditional baffle system. The results also showed that the baffles could increase the “effective flow” of stirred tank even though the whole velocity of the vessel is lower than un-baffled vessel. In addition, both the solid-liquid suspension and “effective flow” were related to instability of the flow *** solid-liquid suspension results always along with obvious instability of the flow field. But, the strengthening effect of punched baffle on flow field instability mainly happened in the near-wall ***'s because the collision and aggregation among sub-streams induced by holes intensified the unstable fluid flow. On the whole, the Pun-BST system provided much better mixing characteristics and recommended to apply in the industrial process.
