Image deblurring is a classical ill-posed problem aimed at recovering a clear image from a blurred one. The recent application of Transformers to image restoration tasks has significantly improved performance, thanks to their powerful long-range dependency modeling capabilities. However, the high computational cost of self-attention mechanisms limits their practical use. Additionally, the training cost for Transformer models is considerable. To address the issues of high computational cost and training cost, this paper proposes a novel Global Local Attention (GLA) mechanism that combines global and local adaptive attention. The mechanism uses 1D adaptive pooling operations to capture global context information, while fixed-size 1D pooling with different kernel sizes (7 and 11) is used to capture local details, effectively addressing both long-range dependencies and fine-grained information. Furthermore, a larger receptive field is crucial for effective image deblurring. To this end, we introduce a Feature Enhancement Module (FEM) with an expansive convolutional kernel size that serves as a bottleneck layer to further improve recovery quality. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed model achieves competitive performance on several benchmark datasets, advancing the field of image restoration. © 2024 IEEE.

The visual recognition of sheet metal parts is a crucial component of industrial automation sorting, particularly under complex lighting and background interference conditions. To enhance the accuracy of sheet metal part recognition, this paper curates a dataset of sheet metal parts acquired by an intelligent light field image sensor and proposes a visual recognition model, PA-CBAM, based on an improved Mask R-CNN. By improving the original feature pyramid FPN and introducing the Convolutional Block Attention Module (CBAM), the model enhances multi-scale feature fusion and the focus on key features: (1) Bottom up paths and shortcut connections have been added between different layers of the traditional FPN feature pyramid, thereby improving multi-scale object detection capability. (2) CBAM further optimizes the model's channel and spatial attention mechanisms, effectively enhancing the capture of edge details and the suppression of background noise. Experimental results show that the proposed PA-CBAM model significantly improves detection and segmentation performance compared to traditional methods, particularly in terms of edge recognition accuracy for sheet metal parts under complex lighting conditions. © 2024 IEEE.

The estimation and analysis of road traffic represent the preliminary steps towards satisfying the current needs for smooth,safe,and green ***,effective traffic monitoring is an essential topic alongside the planning of sustainable transportation systems and the development of new traffic management *** contrast to classical traffic detection solutions,this study investigates the correlation between travelers'social activities and road *** s's primary goal is to investigate the presence of the relationship between social activity and road traffic,which might allow an infrastructure-independent traffic monitoring technique as ***'s general activities at Point of Interest(POI)locations(measured as occupancy parameter)are correlated with traffic data so that,finally,proper proxys can be defined for link-level average traffic speed *** method is tested and evaluated using real-world traffic and POI occupancy data from Budapest(District XI.).The results of the correlation investigation justify an indirect relationship between activity at POIs and road traffic,which holds promise for future practical applicability.

This paper considers the problem of practical predefined-time (PPT) consensus control for a class of high-order nonlinear multiagent systems. With the help of the smooth time-varying function-based technique, the leader’s state and the follower’s unmeasurable states are estimated by introducing PPT observers. Then, a PPT output feedback consensus control algorithm with no singularity and discontinuity is proposed based on the observers. Finally, the effectiveness of the designed output feedback PPT consensus control scheme is validated by virtue of an illustrative numerical example. © 2024 IEEE.

Multi-objective scheduling is a key problem in the field of scheduling optimization such as warehouse logistics. Aiming at the problems of insufficient local search ability and difficult multi-objective trade-off in the existing methods, this article proposes an improved GWO-VNS algorithm. According to existing research, significant enhancements in local search capability and multi-objective optimization performance are achieved by incorporating the variable neighborhood search algorithm and applying crossover and mutation operations. The comparative experimental results show that the IGD index of GWO-VNS algorithm is reduced by 33%, and the HV index is increased by 11%, which verifies its significant advantages in multi-objective scheduling problems. © 2024 IEEE.

Co-salient object detection (CoSOD) is to find the salient and recurring objects from a series of relevant images, where modeling inter-image relationships plays a crucial role. Different from the commonly used direct learning structure that inputs all the intra-image features into some well-designed modules to represent the inter-image relationship, we resort to adopting a recursive structure for inter-image modeling, and propose a two-tier recursion network (TRNet) to achieve CoSOD in this paper. The two-tier recursive structure of the proposed TRNet is embodied in two stages of inter-image extraction and distribution. On the one hand, considering the task adaptability and inter-image correlation, we design an inter-image exploration with recursive reinforcement module to learn the local and global inter-image correspondences, guaranteeing the validity and discriminativeness of the information in the step-by-step propagation. On the other hand, we design a dynamic recursion distribution module to fully exploit the role of inter-image correspondences in a recursive structure, adaptively assigning common attributes to each individual image through an improved semi-dynamic convolution. Experimental results on five prevailing CoSOD benchmarks demonstrate that our TRNet outperforms other competitors in terms of various evaluation metrics. Global Navigation Satellite systems (GNSS) can provide real-time positioning information for outdoor users, but cannot for indoor scenarios or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios. Strap-down Inertial Navigation System (SINS) are widely used to locate people in complex interior or heavily occluded outdoor scenarios due to its light weight and low power consumption. However, IMU of SINS are noisy, and the sampling data error is large, which is a divergence of the error with time. Therefore, it will generate a positioning accumulation error, which affects the final positioning accuracy. The problem of cumulative IMU errors is usually dealt with by Zero-Velocity Update (ZUPT). The zero-velocity detection part of basic ZUPT method usually uses a single threshold to determine the gait of pedestrian, which often has the problem of gait misjudgment and omission. To address these problems, this paper proposes a composite conditional detection method to solve the problem of misjudgment in the zero-velocity interval. In addition, we redesign the zero-velocity update algorithm and uses the Cubature Kalman filter (CKF) for pedestrian positioning error correction. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed ZUPT method based on dual-threshold detection can better detect the interval between pedestrian motion and stationery than ones with single threshold. The zero-velocity update algorithm based on CKF has higher performance than conventional EKF and UKF methods, which constrains the cumulative error of SINS to about 0.2% of the whole walking distance. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to improve the detection accuracy and efficiency of surface defects on ceramic tiles, a detection model based on DeepLabV3+and combined with MobileNetv2 for feature extraction was constructed. Using ECA attention mechanism and multi branch receptive field cascade fusion structure to expand the sampling range of global and local element features for the empty space pyramid pooling module ASPP of the original model. Meanwhile, the model decoder uses depthwise separable convolutions instead of the original standard convolutions. Experimental results have shown that the improved model has an MPA value of 96.12%, a MIou value of 97.29%, an F1 value of 90.03%, and an Accuracy value of 99.89%. Compared with the previous model, the improved model's indicators have increased by 4.07%, 4.44%, 2.04%, and 1.02%, respectively. The segmentation accuracy and detection speed have been significantly improved. The experimental results fully demonstrate that the algorithm proposed in this article can effectively complete the task of detecting surface defects on ceramic tiles. © 2025 SPIE.
