This paper proposes a new cost-efficient,adaptive,and self-healing algorithm in real time that detects faults in a short period with high accuracy,even in the situations when it is difficult to *** than using traditional machine learning(ML)algorithms or hybrid signal processing techniques,a new framework based on an optimization enabled weighted ensemble method is developed that combines essential ML *** the proposed method,the system will select and compound appropriate ML algorithms based on Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)*** this purpose,power system failures are simulated by using the PSCA D-Python *** of the salient features of this study is that the proposed solution works on real-time raw data without using any pre-computational techniques or pre-stored ***,the proposed technique will be able to work on different systems,topologies,or data *** proposed fault detection technique is validated by using PSCAD-Python co-simulation on a modified and standard IEEE-14 and standard IEEE-39 bus considering network faults which are difficult to detect.

As China's steel production accounts for an increasing share of the world's output, the intelligent transformation of the steel industry is becoming increasingly urgent. To address issues such as low levels of mobile informationization in steel enterprises and the lack of an industry-specific mobile application platform, it is of great significance to establish a shared mobile application platform for the steel industry. In this paper, the requirements of the platform were analyzed, and the platform's functions were designed. The software design of the platform was then carried out, and the entire mobile application sharing platform was developed, effectively improving the production management efficiency of steel enterprises. The results indicate that the platform can effectively meet the needs of steel enterprises and has significant engineering significance. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

Aiming at the prediction of truck travel time in open pit mines, we established a prediction model based on long short-term memory(LSTM). This model fully accounts for 11 factors, including the nature of trucks, weather, road conditions, and driver's behaviors, as well as the influence of neighbor road segments in the route on the current predicted road segment. The experiment shows that the error of the LSTM prediction model is significantly reduced compared with SVR and BP models. In addition, the maximum absolute mean error under different conditions is less than 12 seconds. © 2023 Technical Committee on control Theory, Chinese Association of automation.

In the case of scarce communication resources, the importance of different vehicle communication levels is self-evident. They not only affect the efficiency of information exchange between vehicles and driving safety, but also directly affect the rational allocation and utilization of communication resources. Therefore, this paper proposes a signal detection method based on vehicle social relationship strength (SRS) in vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs) scenario, and integrates the SRS information into the data to be transmitted. In this method, minimum mean square error (MMSE) signal detection algorithm is selected for simulation, and Rayleigh channel and Rician channel are selected for simulation scenarios. This method makes full use of the intensity of social relationship between vehicles, and realizes the efficient transmission of data and the accurate transmission of communication level. Experimental verification shows that the method performs well in the VANETs scenario, and provides a new communication method for intelligent transportation, social network and other applications, which is expected to promote the technical progress and application development in related fields.

A Transfer Learning Model for Gesture Recognition Based on the Deep Features Extracted by CNN

The surface electromyogram (sEMG) based hand gesture recognition is prevalent in human-computer interface systems. However, the generalization of the recognition model does not perform well on cross-subject and cross-day. Transfer learning, which applies the pretrained model to another task, has demonstrated its effectiveness in solving this kind of problem. In this regard, this article first proposes a multiscale kernel convolutional neural network (MKCNN) model to extract and fuse multiscale features of the multichannel sEMG signals. Based on the proposed MKCNN model, a transfer learning model named TL-MKCNN combines the MKCNN and its Siamese network by a custom distribution normalization module (DNM) and a distribution alignment module (DAM) to realize domain adaptation. The DNM can cluster the deep features extracted from different domains to their category center points embedded in the feature space, and the DAM further aligns the overall distribution of the deep features from different domains. The MKCNN model and the TL-MKCNN model are tested on various benchmark databases to verify the effectiveness of the transfer learning framework. The experimental results show that, on the benchmark database NinaPro DB6, the average accuracies of TL-MKCNN can achieve 97.22% on within-session, 74.48% on cross-subject, and 90.30% on cross-day, which are 4.31%, 11.58%, and 5.51% higher than those of the MKCNN model on within-session, cross-subject, and cross-day, respectively. Compared with the state-of-the-art works, the TL-MKCNN obtains 13.38% and 37.88% accuracy improvement on cross-subject and cross-day, respectively. Electronic medical records and doctor-patient conversations contain a wealth of useful information, such as disease symptoms, drug names, and cure cycles. Traditional deep learning approaches utilize bidirectional recurrent neural networks to encode text, which cannot effectively capture long-distance dependencies in text. In order to identify medical entity types in various texts more accurately, a named entity recognition approach based on RoBERTa-WWM-IDCNN-CRF is proposed. This approach introduces the RoBERTa-WWM pre-trained model, in order to improve the overall understanding of long Chinese texts for the first time. The model generates semantic representations containing prior knowledge. Then, the generated semantic representations are feed to the IDCNN to extract sentence level characteristics. Finally, the global optimal solution is obtained and the results of the named entity are produced through the CRF. The experiment indicates that the improvement of $F_{1}$ score, accuracy, and recall of RoBERTa-WWM-IDCNN-CRF model are 7.94%, 4.52% and 10.02% comparing with the classical BiLSTM-CRF model.

Strain clamps in the transmission line have a vital role. With X-ray inspection in the transmission line, X-ray images to check defects of the tensioning line clip method have already become the mainstream method. In this paper, we concentrate on the strain clamps' steel anchor end and strand distance defects. We propose a method based on the rotated object detection model RoI Transformer with KFIoU loss to extract the diameter of the steel anchor tube as a reference to determine whether the distance is too long. We first obtain the rotated bounding boxes of the steel anchor and the strand, then calculate the distance between the steel anchor end and the strand and the diameter of the steel anchor by rotated bounding boxes, and finally determine whether there is a defect. Through the study of this essay, the defect detection of strain clamps realizes with high accuracy which has an essential reference for the quality inspection of tension clamp crimping in engineering applications. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

5G1M: Indoor Fingerprint Positioning Using a Single 5G Module

Many critical applications necessitate indoor positioning, and the implementation of indoor positioning cannot be separated from various wireless signals. Among these, 5G-based indoor positioning is gaining increasing attention due to the wide coverage of 5G base stations and the stability of 5G signals. However, current positioning algorithms based on 5G signals require specialized measuring tools or information from telecommunication operators. Therefore, this paper proposes an indoor positioning algorithm, called 5G1M, that uses only a single 5G module and several commercial base stations already built outdoors. Besides these, 5G1M does not need any further assistance. We design 5G1M based on fingerprint positioning, which is less dependent on the environment and devices. First, 5G1M incorporates a Siamese network model with Ghost modules and squeeze-and-excitation blocks to reduce reliance on the scale of the fingerprint database and computational power while maintaining accuracy. Then, transfer learning is used to adapt to long-term environmental changes, and a trajectory-fitting method is employed to mitigate instantaneous signal fluctuations. The experimental result shows that in such a simplified positioning platform, 5G1M achieves a positioning error of 2.53 meters, improving accuracy by 29.7% compared to existing algorithms, and it also demonstrates faster convergence with fewer model parameters. © 2001-2012 IEEE.

Global Convergence of Continual Learning on Non-IID Data

Continual learning, which aims to learn multiple tasks sequentially, has gained extensive attention. However, most existing work focuses on empirical studies, and the theoretical aspect remains under-explored. Recently, a few investigations have considered the theory of continual learning only for linear regressions, establishes the results based on the strict independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) assumption and the persistent excitation on the feature data that may be difficult to verify or guarantee in practice. To overcome this fundamental limitation, in this paper, we provide a general and comprehensive theoretical analysis for continual learning of regression models. By utilizing the stochastic Lyapunov function and martingale estimation techniques, we establish the almost sure convergence results of continual learning under a general data condition for the first time. Additionally, without any excitation condition imposed on the data, the convergence rates for the forgetting and regret metrics are provided. Copyright © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

Secure State Estimation against Sparse Attacks on a Time-varying Set of Sensors

This paper studies the problem of secure state estimation of a linear time-invariant (LTI) system with bounded noise in the presence of sparse attacks on an unknown, time-varying set of sensors. At each time, the attacker has the freedom to choose an arbitrary set of no more than p sensors and manipulate their measurements without restraint. To this end, we propose a secure state estimation scheme and guarantee a bounded estimation error irrespective of the attack signals subject to 2p-sparse observability and a mild, technical assumption that the system matrix has no degenerate eigenvalues. The proposed scheme comprises a design of decentralized observers for each sensor based on the local observable subspace decomposition. At each time step, the local estimates of sensors are fused by a median operator to obtain a secure estimation, which is then followed by a local detection-and-resetting process of the decentralized observers. The estimation error is shown to be upper-bounded by a constant which is determined only by the system parameters and noise magnitudes. Moreover, we design the detector threshold to ensure that the benign sensors never trigger the detector. The efficacy of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated by its application on a benchmark example of IEEE 14-bus system. We show that our proposed scheme can effectively tolerate sparse attacks on an unknown set of sensors, ensuring a bounded estimation error and effectively detecting and resetting the attacked sensors.
