A constrained multi-objective optimization model for the low-carbon vehicle routing problem(VRP)is established.A carbon emission measurement method considering various practical factors is *** minimizes both the total carbon emissions and the longest time consumed by the sub-tours,subject to the limited number of available *** to the characteristics of the model,a region enhanced discrete multi-objective fireworks algorithm is proposed.A partial mapping explosion operator,a hybrid mutation for adjusting the sub-tours,and an objective-driven extending search are designed,which aim to improve the convergence,diversity,and spread of the non-dominated solutions produced by the algorithm,*** low-carbon VRP instances with different scales are used to verify the effectiveness of the new ***,comparison results with four state-of-the-art algorithms indicate that the proposed algorithm has better performance of convergence and distribution on the low-carbon *** provides a promising scalability to the problem size.

Estimating Remaining Useful Life of Cutting Tools in Machining Using an Extended Kalman Filter

Monitoring the condition of the cutting tool and forecasting the evolution of its wear during machining are vital to ensure workpiece quality and the safety of machine elements. The accurate prediction of tool wear is crucial to advance predictive maintenance in machining. This article presents a methodology to estimate the remaining useful life (RUL) of cutting tools. The methodology involves extracting features from vibration signals using discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and computing the concomitant indicators of tool health by applying distance metrics to the features. These indicators have a high correlation with tool wear measurements. The RUL is estimated by fusing these indicators in a support vector regression (SVR) algorithm. The SVR outputs then serve as inputs to an extended Kalman filter (EKF) that employs a rectified linear activation unit (ReLU) function for state evolution, enabling real-time estimation of the RUL. The proposed methodology is demonstrated on the IEEE PHM 2010 dataset, showcasing its reliability and effectiveness in accurately estimating the RUL for cutting tools.

Microcomputers and medical devices with signal transceivers that operate on a specific radio display constitute the backbone of wireless sensor networks (WS Ns) that monitor environmental conditions (temperature, pressure, light, vibration levels, location). It is widely used in WAN sensor networks because of its flexible design and low setup fees. The u200b touch network allows for the connection of up to 65,000 devices, while the Intelligent sensors on other wireless networks are used to transfer data ports and assign wireless networks. Since the price of wireless solutions has been decreasing, and their functional capabilities have been growing, they are gradually replacing wired ones in telemetry data gathering systems and long- distance detecting communication. A deep learning model was used in this investigation to prevent the sensor nodes from manipulating data. Sensor nodes include a lot of parameters and estimations. If these projected data values are altered, network performance will suffer, and the node's lifetime will be reduced. data security became a priority when the sensor nodes were distributed. This new method is 98.82% more efficient than the previous one. © 2023 IEEE.

A method of conducting continuous medical monitoring of human operators of human-machine systems is proposed. This method assumes building a decision support system that selects the control mode of the technological process. Fake news has emerged as a pervasive problem within Online Social Networks, leading to a surge of research interest in this area. Understanding the dissemination mechanisms of fake news is crucial in comprehending the propagation of disinformation/misinformation and its impact on users in Online Social Networks. This knowledge can facilitate the development of interventions to curtail the spread of false information and inform affected users to remain vigilant against fraudulent/malicious content. In this paper, we specifically target the Twitter platform and propose a Multivariate Hawkes Point Processes model that incorporates essential factors such as user networks, response tweet types, and user stances as model parameters. Our objective is to investigate and quantify their influence on the dissemination process of fake news. We derive parameter estimation expressions using an Expectation Maximization algorithm and validate them on a simulated dataset. Furthermore, we conduct a case study using a real dataset of fake news collected from Twitter to explore the impact of user stances and tweet types on dissemination patterns. This analysis provides valuable insights into how users are influenced by or influence the dissemination process of disinformation/misinformation, and demonstrates how our model can aid in intervening in this process. Instant delivery has become a fundamental service in people's daily lives. Different from the traditional express service, the instant delivery has a strict shipping time constraint after being ordered. However, the labor shortage makes it challenging to realize efficient instant delivery. To tackle the problem, researchers have studied to introduce vehicles (i.e., taxis) or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs or drones) into instant delivery tasks. Unfortunately, the delivery detour of taxis and the limited battery of UAVs make it hard to meet the rapidly increasing instant delivery demands. Under this circumstance, this paper proposes an air-ground cooperative instant delivery paradigm to maximize the delivery performance and meanwhile minimize the negative effects on the taxi passengers. Specifically, a data-driven delivery potential-demands-aware cooperative strategy is designed to improve the overall delivery performance of both UAVs and taxis as well as the taxi passengers' experience. The experimental results show that the proposed method improves the delivery number by 30.1% and 114.5% compared to the taxi-based and UAV-based instant delivery respectively, and shortens the delivery time by 35.7% compared to the taxi-based instant delivery. © 2024 IEEE.

Asymptotic Theory for Linear Functionals of Kernel Ridge Regression

An asymptotic theory is established for linear functionals of the predictive function given by kernel ridge regression, when the reproducing kernel Hilbert space is equivalent to a Sobolev space. The theory covers a wide variety of linear functionals, including point evaluations, evaluation of derivatives, L2 inner products, etc. We establish the upper and lower bounds of the estimates and their asymptotic normality. It is shown that λ ∼ n−1 is the universal optimal order of magnitude for the smoothing parameter to balance the variance and the worst-case bias. The theory also implies that the optimal L∞ error of kernel ridge regression can be attained under the optimal smoothing parameter (formula presented). These optimal rates for the smoothing parameter 2m differ from the known optimal rate (formula presented) that minimizes the L2 error of the kernel ridge regression. © 2024, CC BY.

Visual Evaluative AI: A Hypothesis-Driven Tool with Concept-Based Explanations and Weight of Evidence

This paper presents Visual Evaluative AI, a decision aid that provides positive and negative evidence from image data for a given hypothesis. This tool finds high-level human concepts in an image and generates the Weight of Evidence (WoE) for each hypothesis in the decision-making process. We apply and evaluate this tool in the skin cancer domain by building a web-based application that allows users to upload a dermatoscopic image, select a hypothesis and analyse their decisions by evaluating the provided evidence. Further, we demonstrate the effectiveness of Visual Evaluative AI on different concept-based explanation approaches. Copyright © 2024, The Authors. All rights reserved.
