Existing security protocols encounter major cybersecurity difficulties because the online devices' growing popularity continues to spread across networks. These security protocols are ineffective because they do not properly handle current cyber threats. The main goal of this study involves developing enhanced IoT cybersecurity through the development of a threat detection system which brings together adversarial training and deep learning models (CNN-LSTM) and Federated Learning (FL). The system enables distributed Internet of Things devices to work on security model development through Federated Learning while maintaining total privacy of their information. Security procedures controlled by generative artificial intelligence robots alongside real-time attack protection functions decrease security response durations. Through its Federated CNN-LSTM model the system upholds a 1.2% false positive rate alongside a 98.3% accuracy evaluation and 160 milliseconds of exact threat tracking time. The designed system sustains a minimal occurrence of incorrect alarm activations. The developed system provides real-time security for the Internet of Things framework because it enables adaptive protection systems while preserving user privacy in current IoT settings.

Internet of Things connectivity in home health monitoring is a high-in-demand application area. The electronics industry and procedural researchers seek high-end, secured, on-time, cost-effective ways to build reliable quality of service (QoS) proved autonomous systems using existing wireless techniques. Also, the continuous availability of a traffic-free gateway, particularly in isolated places, is necessary for large-scale data gathering and real-time data update processes to function the sensor nodes in an Internet of Things (IoT) network. Improved Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) is one of the most desirable networks offered by 6th generation (6G) connectivity in IoT-associated remote-monitoring proceedings. In this article, we propose a QoS-aware narrow bandwidth allocation-based prototype model for healthcare monitoring in long-distance high-speed trains during the patient transfer from home to the healthcare center or vice versa. This article demonstrates a possible enhancement in social aspects of cognitive IoT applications with large data systems in industrial informatics. © 1975-2011 IEEE.

Web 3.0 is regarded as a revolutionary paradigm that enables users to securely manage data without a centralized authority. Blockchains, which enable data to be managed in a decentralized and transparent manner, are key technologies for achieving Web 3.0 goals. However, blockchain-based Web 3.0 is still in its infancy, such as ensuring block freshness and optimizing block propagation to improve blockchain performance. In this paper, we develop a freshness-aware block propagation optimization framework for Web 3.0. We first propose a novel metric called Age of Block information (AoBI) based on the concept of age of information to quantify block freshness. AoBI measures the time elapsed from the freshest transaction generation to the completion of block consensus. To make block propagation optimization tractable, we classify miners into five different states and propose a block propagation model for public blockchains inspired by epidemic models. Moreover, considering that the miners are bounded rational, we propose an incentive mechanism based on the evolutionary game for block propagation to improve block propagation efficiency. Numerical results demonstrate that compared with other block propagation mechanisms in public blockchains, the proposed scheme has a higher block forwarding probability, which improves block propagation efficiency and decreases the minimum value of average AoBI. © 2015 IEEE.

The proliferation of online forums and communities has greatly facilitated knowledge sharing and user support but has also introduced the significant challenge of managing redundant and semantically similar questions. Traditional keyword-based methods have proven inadequate in addressing this issue due to the inherent complexities of natural language, where the same idea can be expressed in numerous ways. This study investigates the use of advanced machine learning algorithms - Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) - to detect semantically similar questions. By employing the Quora Question Pairs dataset, the performance of these models is evaluated using metrics such as accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. This research not only provides a comparative analysis of these machine learning models but also suggests a framework for improving information retrieval and user experience in online forums. The study highlights the potential for future integration of deep learning models and advanced semantic understanding techniques to further enhance the detection of semantically similar questions.

The area of oil palm plantations in Indonesia increased by 7% from 14 million ha in 2017 to 15 million ha in 2021. The vast land requires the support of effective and efficient management techniques to maintain sustainable productivity. The high-performance computing technologies, Internet of Things (IoT), Big data, Artificial Intelligence, spatial modeling, and drones are the answers to these needs. This study aims to design an application that can obtain plantation image data and analyze the calculation of the number of oil palm trees. The image of oil palm plantations is obtained from processing photo data from drones through a mosaic and composite process. This study also employed Scrum and UML as a system model development method. The image of the oil palm plantation area is used to build a tree counting model using the Viola-Jones algorithm. The oil palm tree count information generated by this system can then be used by management for fertilizing, harvesting, and monitoring the condition of oil palm trees. © 2022 IEEE.

We investigate the phenomenon of norm inconsistency: where LLMs apply different norms in similar situations. Specifically, we focus on the high-risk application of deciding whether to call the police in Amazon Ring home surveillance videos. We evaluate the decisions of three state-of-the-art LLMs – GPT-4, Gemini 1.0, and Claude 3 Sonnet – in relation to the activities portrayed in the videos, the subjects’ skin-tone and gender, and the characteristics of the neighborhoods where the videos were recorded. Our analysis reveals significant norm inconsistencies: (1) a discordance between the recommendation to call the police and the actual presence of criminal activity, and (2) biases influenced by the racial demographics of the neighborhoods. These results highlight the arbitrariness of model decisions in the surveillance context and the limitations of current bias detection and mitigation strategies in normative decision-making. © 2024, CC BY.

The maintenance big data management of aviation equipment has always been a major issue in equipment maintenance reform. Especially, the analysis of maintenance errors based on aviation equipment maintenance database is particularly important. This paper proposes an association analysis method based on Apriori algorithm for date mining of a certain aviation equipment maintenance monthly report. Firstly, the BI-LSTM-CRF neural network is used for feature entity recognition. Then, the Apriori algorithm is used for association rule analysis to mine potential laws between multidimensional data, and radar charts are drawn to customize comprehensive evaluation indicators for overall visual analysis of different aviation equipment. Finally, a case demonstration is presented at the end. The proposed method aims to mine the hidden value information in unstructured text materials for key data such as equipment fault location, fault type, and impact degree.

Metaverse is an immersive, seamless, interactive, comprehensive virtual world, as well as a replication, extension, and transcendence of the real world. Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-enabled mobile edge computing (MEC) is becoming a key technology for ubiquitous Metaverse services. To enhance network resource utilization, we introduce dual connectivity (DC) technologies in UAV-enabled MEC, which increases the time complexity associated with resource management. Considering the specific features of DC communication channels, we propose a UAV-assisted Metaverse rendering problem to enhance the Metaverse service experience and reduce the energy cost of edge devices. To solve the rendering problem with low complexity, we propose a diffusion model-based Metaverse rendering algorithm, where a novel diffusion model is used to generate integer rendering decisions with the aid of the gradient provided by the model-based Metaverse rendering problem. Moreover, with the given rendering decisions, the communication and computation resource allocation results are derived by the model-based optimization method. Finally, we conduct extensive simulation experiments based on real-world datasets. Comprehensive simulation results demonstrate that the diffusion model-based Metaverse rendering algorithm can reduce the Metaverse frame rendering time and improve user experience.

We introduce a novel framework for analyzing reinforcement learning (RL) in continuous state-action spaces, and use it to prove fast rates of convergence in both off-line and on-line settings. Our analysis highlights two key stability properties, relating to how changes in value functions and/or policies affect the Bellman operator and occupation measures. We argue that these properties are satisfied in many continuous state-action Markov decision processes. Our analysis also offers fresh perspectives on the roles of pessimism and optimism in off-line and on-line RL.
