This paper presents a new tuning method based on model parameters identified in closed-loop. For classical controllers such as PI(D) controllers a large number of simple tuning methods for various application areas exist. However, when it comes to designing a generalised predictive controller (GPC) four parameters have to be specified. To choose those parameters is not a trivial task since they are not directly related to control or regulation performance. The presented tuning method exploits model-parameters to select suitable controller parameters. Additionally, a Rhinehart filter is incorporated in the design to decrease the impact of noise, therefore, a fifth parameter has to be optimised. The proposed method has been tested in simulation and on a real system.

Interdisciplinary product development is faced with the collaboration of diverse roles and a multitude of interrelated artifacts. Traditional and sequential process models cannot deal with the long-lasting and dynamic behavior of the development processes of today. Moreover, development processes have to be tailored to the needs of the projects, which are usually distributed today. Thus, keeping these projects on track from a methodology point of view is difficult. In order to deal with these challenges, this paper will present a novel method engineering and enactment approach. It combines the ideas of workflow technologies and product line engineering for method engineering as well as agent technology for the development process enactment.

The International Workshop on the Web and Requirements Engineering (WeRE) was held in conjunction with the 18 th International IEEE Requirements Engineering Conference (RE'10) in Sydney (Australia) on September 28 2010. WeRE intends to be an international forum for exchanging ideas on both using Web technologies as a platform in the requirements engineering field, and applying requirements engineering in the development and use of websites. Papers focused on new domains and new experiences with the connection between requirements engineering and the Web were presented in WeRE.

Rich and multifaceted domain specific specification languages like the Autonomic System Specification Language (ASSL) help to design reliable systems with self-healing capabilities. The GEAR game-based Model Checker has been used successfully to investigate in depth properties of the ESA ExoMars Rover. We show here how to enable GEAR's game-based verification techniques for ASSL via systematic model extraction from a behavioral subset of the language, and illustrate it on a description of the Voyager II space mission. This way, we close the gap between the design-time and the run-time techniques provided in the SHADOWS platform for self-healing of concurrency, performance, and functional issues.

Modeling languages provide a powerful technique for describing domain-specific concepts and their relationships. Since the syntactical structure is determined by a meta-model, expressions can be defined on the meta layer and evaluated for arbitrary instances. Currently, meta-modeling standards lack an easy way for defining rules capable of dynamically examining the behavior of a model. In this paper we discuss a new approach that links meta-modeling with well-understood methods from the field of compiler construction in order to express semantic constraints and perform data-flow calculations on model instances. We show how our approach can be used to analyze and validate business processes and specify further use cases like e.g. the calculation of model metrics.

Today's service mashup technologies usually focus on assisting programmers to provide more powerful and valuable integrated applications to the users. A significant set of scripting languages, graphical tools and web services are used for this purpose, all addressing users with significant IT background. This paper aims at extending the power of mashup development to end users and application experts by automatically taking care of the tedious technical details like interface speci fications, types, and syntactic constraints. In detail we support simple and intuitive mashup specifications which are automatically completed to runnable mashups by means of service discovery-like methods and planning. We illustrate our approach by means of a concrete case study executed within our jABC/jETI development and (remote) execution framework.
