The implementation of digital industrial technologies marks a pivotal step towards maximizing automation in production processes, aligning with the principles of Industry 4.0 and the NDE 4.0 paradigms. One key area of focus is the modeling of radiation non-destructive evaluation operations within a virtual reality framework. This innovative approach allows for the creation and software application of simulators specifically designed for non-destructive testing of various materials and products. In this context, a complex multi-component digital twin of radiographic image is proposed. The digital twin serves as a comprehensive virtual model that mirrors the characteristics and behaviors of its physical counterpart. The images are generated using discrete modeling techniques that utilize both fundamental physical principles and empirical data provided by manufacturers. This dual approach ensures that the resulting radiographic images closely resemble those produced during actual X-ray inspections. One of the spatial factors that affects image sharpness and quality of inspection is also included in the model. By utilizing virtual reality and digital twin technologies, radiation non-destructive testing training becomes more efficient and better aligned with the automation goals of contemporary industrial practices. © 2025 IEEE.

Intelligent Radar Detection Satellites carry radar detection systems as payloads, with all-day, all-weather, long-distance detection capabilities for targets in the sea, land, air, and sky, which are new informatization weaponry for future battlefields and play an essential role in the seizure of the right to control information on the battlefield in the future. Intelligent Radar Detection Satellites rely on the empowerment of artificial intelligence, intelligent control, and other technologies, with perception, decision-making, manipulation, and other smart features, and can reliably complete the space radar detection mission. This paper focuses on the feasibility of the single-base space-based radar system program, is dedicated to the preliminary design of the Intelligent Radar Detection Satellite system program, and combs and summarizes the relevant technical research literature on the design of the various sub-systems of the satellite platform and the design of the payload system. Facing the design of the mechanical, electrical, thermal, and magnetic systems of the Intelligent Radar Detection Satellite, pointing out the feasible solutions to the critical technical problems involved in the satellite. In response to the satellite's demand for highly autonomous capability and intelligence level, it points out the necessary development direction of applying intelligent materials and structures, intelligent control theory, artificial intelligence, cognitive radar, and other technologies to the Intelligent Radar Detection Satellites. © 2025 The Aeronautical and Astronautical Society of the Republic of China. Iron Toxicity Tolerance of Rice Genotypes in Relation to Growth,Yield and Physiochemical Characters

Iron(Fe)toxicity,generated from excess reduced ferrous Fe(Fe^(2+))ion formation within the soil under submerged condition,is a potent environmental stress that limits lowland rice *** 11 diverse Thai rice genotypes,including a recognized tolerant genotype Azucena and a susceptible genotype IR64,were evaluated against 5 Fe^(2+)levels[0(control),150,300,600 and 900 mg/L]to screen the tested genotypes for their Fe-toxicity tolerance and to classify them as a sensitive/tolerant *** evaluation was conducted by a germination study,followed by a polyhouse study on growth,yield and physiochemical *** showed significant variations in Fe^(2+)-tolerance across *** Fe^(2+)level beyond 300 mg/L was detrimental for germination and growth of all the tested genotypes,although germination responses were negatively affected at Fe^(2+)≥300 mg/*** responses in the form of leaf greenness,net photosynthetic rate,membrane stability index and Fe contents in leaf and root were the most representative of Fe^(2+)-toxicity-mediated impairments on overall growth and *** in physiochemical responses was effectively correlated with the contrasting ability of the genotypes on lowering excess Fe^(2+)in *** of average tolerance and stress tolerance index unveiled that the genotypes RD85 and RD31 were the closest to the tolerant check Azucena and the sensitive check IR64,*** unweighted pair group method with arithmetic means clustering revealed three major clusters,with cluster Ⅱ(four genotypes)being Fe^(2+)tolerant and cluster Ⅰ(four genotypes)being Fe^(2+)*** component(PC)analysis and genotype by trait-biplot analysis showed that the first two components explained 90.5%of the total variation,with PC1 accounting for 56.6%and PC2 for 33.9%of the total *** identified tolerant rice genotypes show potentials for cultivation in Fe^(2+)-toxic lowlands for increased productiv

This article presents the study of anti-inflammatory drugs residues removal from wastewater using activated carbon material. For the adsorption and desorption studies were used four anti-inflammatory drugs: acetaminophen, diclofenac, ibuprofen and ketoprofen. The physical-chemical properties of the synthetic pollutants were studied varied the pH, the concentration and the contact time of the drug residues. To highlight the mathematical model which described very well the adsorption processes were used Langmuir and Freundlich isotherm. To demonstrate the presence of the drugs residues in wastewater were used total organic carbon (TOC) technique. Three concentrations of drugs were experienced: 1mg/L, 5mg/L and 10 mg/L and the amounts of activated carbon material used were 0.1g, 0,5g and 1g. The maximum efficiency of removing anti-inflammatory drugs residues from wastewater were recorded at pH=6, 1mg/L initial pollutants concentration and 1g adsorbent dosage. The removal efficiency for drug residues was as follows: acetaminophen (88%) > diclofenac (82%) > ketoprofen (79%) > ibuprofen (77%). © 2024, Politechnica University of Bucharest. This paper outlines a comprehensive study on the Certification by Analysis (CbA) for determining stall speed in aircraft development. The study focuses on using advanced analysis methods to replace some flight tests, specifically for the 1G stall speed determination. The research involves developing an aeroelastic Common Research Model (aeCRM-HL) and conducting wind tunnel tests (WTT) to validate the analysis. The study aims to create a benchmark dataset for global use, ensuring accurate stall speed predictions through coupled Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Computational Structural Dynamics (CSD) analysis. This paper introduces the design and testing plans for the aeCRM-HL model, including mass, stiffness, and vibration characteristics measurements. The ultimate goal is to establish a reliable CbA process, reducing the extensive flight tests and enhancing the efficiency of aircraft certification while maintaining the same level of safety assurance required in conventional aircraft development. © 2025, American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Inc, AIAA. Wireless communications, encompassing mobile communications, satellite communications, wireless local area networks (LANs), and fixed wireless systems, play a major role in communication networks. In preparation for the World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (WRC-23) that was held in November 2023, the International Telecommunication Union - Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R), a de jure standards organization, conducted studies and discussions broader than those limited to Beyond 5th-generation mobile communication system (5G) and 6G. The 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), a private standardization organization, has also started to study specifications after Release 18 under the name "5G-Advanced," as a further evolved version of 5G. The IEEE 802.11 Working Group (WG), a WG of the Standards Association under the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), is studying next-generation wireless LANs. This article introduces these standardization efforts as well as the NTT Group’s activities for standardization of satellite communications, fixed wireless communications, and radio-wave propagation. © 2024 Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp.. The maritime industry is undergoing a major transformation to achieve reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Many new options, such as alternative propulsion systems and fuels, optimized routes, or auxiliary propulsion systems, including wind-assistance devices, need to be integrated and aligned within a wide network of different stakeholders. New ways are necessary to work with and manage the increasing complexity in the maritime industry. Model-based systems engineering approaches are a promising strategy to gain a better understanding of the as-is situation and to develop advanced solutions. This paper shows the application of the ARCADIA method for the maritime industry, with the target of integrating wind-assistance devices to vessels, using the ARCADIA modeling language and the Capella tool. In the presented work, we propose to apply the framework of graph neural networks (GNNs) to predict the dynamics of a rolling element bearing. This approach offers generalizability and interpretability, having the potential for scalable use in real-time operational digital twin systems for monitoring the health state of rotating machines. By representing the bearing's components as nodes in a graph, the GNN can effectively model the complex relationships and interactions among them. We utilize a dynamic spring-mass-damper model of a bearing to generate the training data for the GNN. In this model, discrete masses represent bearing components such as rolling elements, inner raceways, and outer raceways, while a Hertzian contact model is employed to calculate the forces between these components. We evaluate the learning and generalization capabilities of the proposed GNN framework by testing different bearing configurations that deviate from the training configurations. Through this approach, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the GNN-based method in accurately predicting the dynamics of rolling element bearings, highlighting its potential for real-time health monitoring of rotating machinery. © 2023 Prognostics and Health Management Society. An underwater glider is a special type of remotely operated underwater vehicle employed for research and monitoring the underwater environment. This article presents the design and fabrication of an underwater glider specifically for educational purposes. The three-dimensional model of the glider is developed using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. Important parameters, viz., buoyancy control system, rolling mechanism, electronics and control system and wing design are described. The buoyancy mechanism used for the propulsion differentiates a glider from other underwater vehicles. The design parameters, specifications and dimensions of the fabricated glider are highlighted. The design incorporates a unique feature, viz., a movable ballast tank for adjusting both buoyancy and altitude. To achieve a lightweight structure, 3D printing technology employing plastic raw material was utilized. Computational analysis of the CAD model of the glider was carried out to investigate the variation of hydrodynamic parameters. The educational significance of this work lies in its potential to enhance the educators’ and students’ understanding of remotely operated underwater vehicles as well as nurturing hands-on learning experiences. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Herein,the successful preparation of a singleatom catalyst V-N-C using vanadium-doped zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)-8 as a precursor is *** experimental results showed that the V-N-C had a good promoting effect on the hydrogen storage performance of MgH_(2),and the optimal addition amount of V-N-C was 10wt%.The hydrogenation and dehydrogenation apparent activation energies of 10 wt%V-N-C-catalyzed MgH_(2)were reduced by 44.9 and 53.5 kJ·mol^(-1),respectively,compared to those of additive-free MgH_(2).The 10 wt%V-N-C-catalyzed MgH_(2)could reabsorb 5.92 wt%of hydrogen in 50 min at 150℃,with a capacity retention rate of 99.1%after 30 cycles of hydrogen absorption and *** analysis showed that V-N-C was partially transformed into VN and metallic V when it was milled with MgH_(2);the in-situ-formed VN and metallic V played an important role in improving the hydrogen storage performance of MgH_(2).This approach provides a potential solution for obtaining high-performance Mg-based hydrogen storage materials through synergistic interactions between V,N and C.
