This paper presents counting number of points for the *** vulgaris using UV Fluorescence and image processing. This proposed method uses a process of image processing as follows. Cropping a UV image is to select a region of interest and, then the cropped image is resized for a suitable size and it (or the color image) is converted to a gray image. Quality of this gray image will be improved for image enhancement using adaptive histogram equalization. Finally, extended maxima transform, i.e. the regional maxima of the H-maxima transform, is used for counting number of the *** points. The experimental results show that the accuracy, sensitivity and precision are approximately at 83.75%, 98.22% and 85.04%, respectively. It saves time to analysis of the acne points. © 2011 IEEE.

Least association rules are corresponded to the rarity or irregularity relationship among itemset in database. Mining these rules is very difficult and rarely focused since it always involves with infrequent and exceptional cases. In certain medical data, detecting these rules is very critical and most valuable. However, mathematical formulation and evaluation of the new proposed measurement are not really impressive. Therefore, in this paper we applied our novel measurement called Critical Relative Support (CRS) to mine the critical least association rules from medical dataset. We also employed our scalable algorithm called Significant Least Pattern Growth algorithm (SLP-Growth) to mine the respective association rules. Experiment with two benchmarked medical datasets, Breast Cancer and Cardiac Single Proton Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) Images proves that CRS can be used to detect to the pertinent rules and thus verify its scalability.

This paper compares three techniques for Arabic text classification;these techniques are Support Vector Machine (SVM) with Sequential Minimal Optimization (SMO), Naïve Bayesian (NB), and J48. The main objective of this paper is to measure the accuracy for each classifier and to determine which classifier is more accurate for Arabic text classification based on stop words elimination. The accuracy for classifier is measured by Percentage split method (holdout), and K-fold cross validation methods,. The results show that the SMO classifier achieves the highest accuracy and the lowest error rate, and shows that the time needed to build the SMO model is the smallest time. © 2010 ACM.

A cycling wheel chair (CWC) is a useful tool to provide physical exercise for patients who face difficulty walking, caused by stroke or other brain disorders. A system has been developed for rehabilitation, which allows patients to practice driving a CWC in a virtual environment. In this study, hardware improvements were developed and methods for evaluating driving skills were investigated to improve the practical application of this system. The hardware was changed to enable users to drive the CWC they were using in their daily lives. In addition, four types of test scenarios that focused on basic and important actions necessary to drive a CWC, such as pedaling and steering, were developed. An experiment with healthy young and elderly persons was conducted to evaluate the validity of the system. Results showed that pedaling and steering skills were improved in both the young and elderly subjects but the improvement patterns differed between them. These results indicate that repeated practice with the proposed system enhances the safety of driving a CWC, particularly for elderly users.

The eco tourism is a kind of tourism that is one way of traveling to natural and cultural with responsibility by not disturb or destroy natural resources and environment but having the main objective to see, learn and enjoy the scenario, forest, wild animals and also the cultural appeared in that area. The national park is one example of the eco tourism places where the tourists pay an attention to due with high competitive in tourist industrial, and high number of TV commercial and other medias. For the past 10 years statistics of visitor in national park, there is a decreasing of tourists and less realize on eco tourism. From the mentioned problems above, the researcher arises the concept of developing the web-based decision support system for eco tourism planning by selecting the national park in Chiangmai province where most of national parks located. Moreover, national parks in Chiangmai province has biological diversity and natural diversity suitable for begin promoted to be eco tourism place. This research explains the concept and two models developing method of web-based decision support system for eco tourism planning to allow the user chooses, the result is the users have a good satisfaction on the system. © 2011 IEEE.

Inter-firm R&D collaboration is valuable for companies when it helps them to gain complementary intellectual resources, access to diverse markets, share product development's cost, shorten the time to market of new products, and avoiding redundant expenditures. This kind of collaboration could be considered as a good way responding to the modern business world today which is dynamic, complex, and intensively competitive. This research therefore focus on the role of Intellectual property shared and used in Design service where inter-firm R&D collaboration is major activity, the supporting functions of IP management's core components developed in previous research. Conducting a survey from new product development managers of Taiwan's high-tech industry, this research's result shows that Know how-related intellectual property has positive effects on indicating factors of design service performance such as Time to market, productivity, quality, and efficiency. Another result indicates that four of IP management's core components are positive associated with the performance of design service, those core components are: Legalization capability, intra-firm relationship capability, collaboration formation capability, and main goal of collaboration. © 2011 IEEE.

In this paper we address the Stochastic Airport Bus Routing Problem (SABRP) where the availability of customers in the meeting points is randomly generated. We solve the problem by utilizing the stochastic programming recourse approach. The objective of our model is to minimize the cost of regular bus tours and the recourse cost when special taxis tours will be sent to specific customers. © 2011 IEEE.
