Several studies have implemented speaker recog-nition as part of Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) to enhance the perception capabilities of voice-based robots. In this context, our research is implemented on a delivery robot that requires constraints on control and interaction. Implementing a speaker recognition system for a delivery robot is designed to ensure that the robot only executes commands from authorized speakers while avoiding receiving commands from unauthorized speakers. We propose text-independent speaker identification based on speaker embedding d-vector with MobileNetV3, then compared with a Fast ResNet-34. In addition, the compatibility of different feature extraction representations, MFCC, and Mel-scaled spec-trogram is evaluated for the proposed architecture. The proposed system has been evaluated on a dataset in Bahasa Indonesia with various acoustic environments. The results of the proposed approach have a better computing efficiency of 98.27 %, a smaller model size with an 87.47 % reduction, and a faster inference time of about 7ms compared to Fast ResNet-34. © 2024 IEEE.

This study evaluates the integration of a photovoltaic (PV) system with hydrogen storage for industrial energy applications in Tangerang, Banten, Indonesia. Two approaches are assessed: the Economic Optimization Method and the Proposed Renewable Energy System. The Proposed System involves a higher initial capital expenditure (CAPEX) of IDR 842 billion, but it results in the lowest Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) at IDR 664.64 per kWh and the most significant reduction in CO2 emissions at 26,601,050 kg per year. These outcomes indicate that the Proposed System enhances economic viability in the long term and aligns with global efforts toward Net Zero Emissions (NZE). In contrast, the Economic Optimization Method, while minimizing the Net Present Cost (NPC), leads to greater reliance on grid electricity and higher CO2 emissions. The findings suggest that the Proposed System offers a sustainable and cost-effective solution for industries in Indonesia with high solar energy potential, providing a model for supporting national energy resilience and environmental goals. © 2024 IEEE.

Railway interlocking systems can be implemented as distributed systems, where each part of a station is handled by a separate logical unit. The logical units of such systems form a network and communicate by interchanging messages. Such distributed architectures are well known in large industrial control systems. There are several design practices and also algorithmic task partitioning methods that are applicable in distributed control systems. Some of such methods can also be adapted in designing of railway interlocking systems as well. In the case of such systems, the communication time between components must be kept low. Namely each separate controller in a given route must be able to exchange their internal state within a limited time in order to permit the train movement authorization. This limitation could cause high traffic load, if every logical unit would be interconnected with each other. Therefore, the main goal of the minimization is to reduce the number of connections between logical units. This can achieved by distributing and assigning the topological railway objects to certain logical units. © 2024 Budapest University of technology and Economics. All rights reserved.

The control of overhead cranes is a benchmark problem, since it is an underactuated mechanism and its mathematical model is nonlinear. During operation the mass of the load is unknown, representing an uncertainty in the inertial parameters, which requires robustness of the controlled system. Our paper proposes a novel robust control method, that combines the differentially flat property of the dynamics with the robustness of the sliding mode control. The sliding surface is constructed to ensure the tracking of the configuration variables whose accelerations is calculated using the flatness property of the dynamic model. This formulation also allows achieving the matching conditions of the parameter uncertainties. Considering a simplified overhead crane model where the load motion is restricted in a vertical plane, two sliding surfaces are defined for the rope angle and rope length, since the cart position can be calculated from the previous two. The suggested control method is successfully validated in simulations as well as using a reduced-size overhead crane. For the real crane, the rope angle was estimated by utilizing the dynamical model, which uses the estimated cart acceleration. © 2024 Budapest University of technology and Economics. In this paper, we propose two self-adaptive extragradient-like algorithms for solving pseudomonotone variational inequalities. We consider two cases: the mapping is Lipschitz continuous (with unknown modulus) and is not Lipschitz continuous. The step size in our algorithms can either increase or decrease at each step. This feature makes our algorithms more efficient. We also give some numerical examples to compare the performance of our algorithm with the existing one. ©2024 Applied Set-Valued Analysis and Optimization.

Safety/mission-critical applications require high dependability of the control systems. Their state-of-the-art protection approach is a system-level lockstep. This paper compares the system-level dual and triple lockstep technique to the microarchitecture-level protection of the Hardisc RISC-V core. For a fair comparison, each system is based on the same core(s) and integrates protection against bit-flips in memory and transient faults in the bus. We propose a fault injection methodology, combining pre-synthesis simulation with synthesis data to analyse the vulnerability of a system to faults. The fault injection campaigns show that the Hardisc can withstand fault rates orders of magnitude higher than the dual-core lockstep system while preserving the same area and power consumption. It comes with a 5% frequency penalty. We have shown that system failures are more frequent once the fault rate reaches an application-specific threshold (one fault in 100 clock cycles). © 2024 IEEE.

The investigation into the dielectric properties of transformer oils has been a focal point in both historical and contemporary electric insulation technology as high-voltage applications have greatly benefited from the continuous research efforts in this field. The dielectric permittivity is one of the factors to be negotiated when discussing the electric insulation of any material. This work aims to showcase a new short-circuited coaxial cable method to evaluate the complex dielectric permittivity of palm, sunflower and rapeseed oil and review other previously used measurement techniques. Mainly, the test was performed using a sample holder that represents a short-ended coaxial cable filled with the test material which is connected to one port of a vector network analyser. The measurements of the input impedance for various oil samples were conducted at frequencies ranging from 1 MHz to 10 MHz. The technique uses the value of the input impedance which depends on the reflected signals from the test sample to the network analyser, consequently, the value of the dielectric permittivity and dielectric loss have been calculated using the short circuit impedance formula which involves numerical methods to get the results which shows that this method can be used as an alternative to investigate the oils insulation parameters as it provides smooth results for permittivity without any divergence, ensuring more reliable and consistent measurements as well as providing high accuracy in determining the permittivity of materials. © 2024 Budapest University of technology and Economics. The DiTenun website is a web-based software developed to create new motifs or new weaving patterns. The motifs are made using variations of motifs from existing traditional weaving and new motifs produced by the DiTenun application. The DiTenun website itself researches to classify Nusantara weaving, generate new motifs quickly and automatically, preserve Indonesian culture and make it practically universally accessible. The DiTenun website also still has weaknesses. The weaknesses analyzed are the functional aspects of the DiTenun website. The weakness that is analyzed is to test every function contained on the DiTenun website. This test perform with blackbox test method using Specification Based Test Technique. To see how much influence the use of Specification Based Test has in testing the functionality of a website, a comparison is also made with the Random Test technique as a baseline for comparison. After the test results with the two techniques are obtained, then a comparison is made to the number of types of errors obtained by the two techniques. copy;2023 IEEE. © 2023 IEEE.

The electrical system is an essential component of the primary infrastructure. The Kalimantan Grid System presently comprises two electrical systems the Interconnection system (East-South-Central Kalimantan) and the Khatulistiwa System (West Kalimantan). We will integrate the two systems in the near future. Connecting the two systems can enhance energy transfer efficiency. Nevertheless, the existing state of the network layout features numerous elongated radial lines and Generations sites that are distanced from the load demand. The objective of this research is to analyze power system stability to comprehend the effects of the connectivity between the two systems. This research uses DIgSILENT PowerFactory® software as a tool for analysis due to its considerable complexity. Modal analysis enables the examination of damping within the system, particularly when the transfer between the two systems escalates, alongside the potential small signal stability for inter- area and intra-area oscillations during transmission and generation disturbances. The research results indicate that eigenvalues were obtained under transfer conditions between Sukamara and Kendawangan amounting to 50 MW using modal analysis. There is a contingency for the Kalteng 1 power plant where disturbances lead to unstable conditions. This is illustrated by the positive eigenvalues and the negative damping ratio in the Kalimantan System. Therefore, the interconnection of these two systems has transfer stability limits that must be anticipated under various contingency conditions, both for generation outages and transmission outages. © 2024 IEEE.

Pipeline transport of hydrogen is one of today’s economic and environmental *** order to find safe and reliable application of both existing gas and build new pipelines,it is essential to carry out tests on full-scale pipeline section,including the potentially more dangerous places than the main pipe,the girth *** the investigations,pipeline sections of P355NH steel with girth welds were prepared and exposed to pure hydrogen at twice the maximum allowable operating pressure for 41 ***,full-scale burst tests were carried out and specimens were cut and prepared from the typical locations of the failed pipeline sections for mechanical,and macro-and microstructural *** results obtained were evaluated and compared with data from previous full-scale tests on pipeline sections without hydrogen *** results showed differences in the behavior of pipeline sections loaded in different ways,with different characteristics of the materials and the welded joints,both in the cases without hydrogen exposure and in the cases exposed to hydrogen.
