Telecommunication towers and other high-rise buildings are particularly susceptible to lightning strikes. By installing an appropriate lightning protection system, the effects of lightning strikes on telecommunications towers are reduced. Based on observed local lightning characteristics, especially lightning peak current, the lightning protection system is created. In order to validate and monitor the distribution of lightning current that goes through the legs of the tower and down conductors, a suitable lightning current measurement instrument is required. In this study, a measuring instrument based on Rogowski coil was chosen because it has a wide linearity and frequency range which can measure the nature of surges which have a wide frequency and high current. The performance of the designed measuring instrument is tested and calibrated in the laboratory whether it can measure the signal from the surge properly or not. The Rogowski Coil was designed to measure the lightning current up to 100 kA. The novelty of this study is to design Rogowski coil based on local lightning condition that has a good response in low frequency impulse signal. © 2023 IEEE.

Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world. The geographical location of Indonesia, which consists of islands and many straits, has resulted in smuggling and the entry of foreign ships. Increasing the security of the sea area needs to be improved, one of which is by advancing technology. Passive sonar is a technology that can detect foreign ships without being noticed by the target. The acoustic signal emitted by the ship can be used in passive sonar to detect the direction of the ship's arrival. In this research, a passive sonar prototype was developed using the Uniform Circular Array (UCA) model and a power comparison algorithm to detect the arrival direction of ships, a frequency of 1 kHz is assumed to be an acoustic signal emitted by a ship. The developed passive sonar prototype can detect acoustic signals in the water medium. The power comparison algorithm in air medium has the lowest average error at a distance of 0.6 m at an angle of 360° with a value of 0.3201 and at a distance of 1.2 m at an angle of 90° with a value of 0.2585. © 2023 IEEE.

This article aims to incorporate search engine optimization validation into the development process of JavaScript-based web applications, thus connecting two sides of optimizations, namely the selection of appropriate practices and their correct implementation. We summarize strategies for achieving search engine optimization (SEO) compliance in single-page applications (SPAs) and propose two distinct testing solutions aimed at addressing SEO concerns in modern web apps. Both approaches are incorporated into CI/CD pipelines, making it possible to enforce existing SEO strategies. The issue of visibility in search engines is especially characteristic for JavaScript-based frameworks. This is because of the way they load and render their content, are mostly unable to achieve satisfactory SEO scores and rankings. Due to the ever-increasing popularity of these frameworks, it is essential to identify and compare available optimization techniques to address this subject adequately. Here, we take a closer look at the SEO-friendly features of *** and *** frameworks and evaluate their capabilities using two mock e-commerce websites as examples. To fulfill our second objective, an approach to continuous SEO testing is presented. We discuss the results of similar CI/CD pipeline setups using distinct technologies and tools, in particular Jenkins and GitHub actions. The results show that by integrating specific tests focused on SEO into CI/CD pipelines, developers can identify crucial shortcomings of their product and eliminate them before they cause harm in the production environment. © 2024 Copyright for this paper by its authors.

Metaverse is a massive virtual environment that moves in parallel with the original world. In developing Metaverse, collaboration and inter-discipline are needed so that in its development it can see from various points of view. One of the inter-disciplinary collaborations in the development of the metaverse is the ITB Metaverse Ganesha Campus project. In the initial stage of development, this project will focus on conducting digital twins on several iconic ITB buildings such as the East Hall, Plaza, and Main Gate. The project was developed using Unreal Engine 5 and exported to Android and PC platforms. However, based on the test results using various device specifications, showing the highest average FPS value only gets 4 FPS for Android and 10 FPS for PC. In addition, the existing APK installation file is quite large, which is 2 GB with raw files reaching more than 300 GB. For this reason, optimization is carried out by optimizing LOD and asset management to improve the performance and efficiency of the Metaverse. As a result, FPS increased up to 29 FPS for Android and 38 FPS for PC. While the APK file is compressed to 0.4 GB and the raw file becomes 9.3 GB. © 2023 IEEE.

Google developed Cloud Firestore, a document-oriented NoSQL database. Cloud Firestore data may be accessed in two different ways: first, through the Firebase Console, and second, through the Cloud Firestore API. While Firebase Console data management is less efficient because each individual document must be managed individually, Cloud Firestore API has the disadvantages of specific syntax and limitations for complex queries. On the other hand, SQL is a popular query language that can handle complex queries. This paper discusses a library designed to execute SQL queries to Cloud Firestore. The library converts SQL queries into Cloud Firestore API statements, which are subsequently used to run the queries on the database. The library executes INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, and SELECT SQL-based CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) statements. Additionally, the library includes JOIN, subquery, and aggregate functions, three complex query types that the Cloud Firestore API does not support. We also developed an application as the library's graphical user interface. The results of the library test indicate that SQL queries produced the expected results. Compared to other methods, the usage of SQL queries is easier and more concise to manage data on Cloud Firestore. The development of information technology in various fields makes the network bigger and more complex. The software-defined network appears as a solution that changes the paradigm of the network management problem by separating the data plane and controller centrally on the control plane. Currently, SDN comes with a programmable data plane with the P4 language which is more flexible than OpenFlow as a link between the data plane and the control plane. The Raspberry Pi-based testbed for P4 programmable data plane is a platform for testing the performance of the data plane and P4 programs before being implemented in production. This project analyzes the performance of the Raspberry Pi-based testbed by measuring several network parameters such as delay, throughput, jitter, and packet loss using several test scenarios. Based on the experiment results, the amount of packet processing in each scenario affects the delay parameter. Small jitter parameters indicate a stable delay during the experiment. CPU performance has huge impact to the testbed performance and can be seen in the throughput and packet loss test results using different values of bandwidth, buffer length, and room temperature. © 2023 IEEE.

Electric submersible pump (ESP) widely used for oil and gas industry utilities. Operational of ESP must be maintained to ensure production activity not disturbed. When ESP were operating, the frequency of induction motor may change caused by dynamic loads. The rate change of frequency (RoCoF) from ESP caused frequency system oscillating. To overcome frequency oscillation problem, this paper will propose secondary control. Virtual inertia control (VIC) choosen to overcome frequency oscillation problem caused by ESP operations. VIC have fast respond dynamic frequency. Frequency stability analysis will considered to analyze performance of VIC. Applying VIC into system will reduce frequency oscillation at power line. © 2023 IEEE.

In designing an electric motor, many parameters come into play that will determine the characteristics and performance of the given motor, for example choosing the slot-pole combination of the motor design. One challenge that also became prevalent on designing an electric motor, especially on an e-bike is geometry limitation which often limited by the rim size. This research propose a method to find the most compatible slot-pole combination of a 500 W brushless DC motor suited for e-bike application. Initial design parameter of the motor that will be used as reference and further developed were based on a 500 W brushless DC motor found on an e-bike conversion kit. Performance requirement of an e-bike were estimated for a given speed and terrain. Several slot-pole combination options were proposed to satisfy those performance requirement. It was then modeled and tested by simulation to see its respective characteristic and performance. From the results, it was concluded that 36-34 slot-pole combination were found to be the most suitable one for the given performance requirement and design parameter constraint. Further validation of the slot-pole combination is performed by variably changed the mechanical load as to represent various terrain condition like flat and uphill road using simulation method as well. On this regard, the proposed design managed to deliver the required torque according to simulated terrain. FEA of the proposed design were also performed and shows good result. © 2023 IEEE.

This study focuses on enhancing rat mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) segmentation in fluorescence microscopy images. It optimizes parameters of the two-dimensional bandpass filter, crucial for addressing challenges with thin, elongated cells. The bandpass segmentation, ranking second in the Cell Tracking Challenge (CTC) 2020 for rat MSC segmentation, indicates potential performance improvement through parameter optimization. The optimization involves two Gaussian filters and a tophat filter, utilizing a grid search and perceptron model on the Fluo-C2DL-MSC dataset in the CTC. Optimized parameters include bandpass filters with a Mexican Hat shape and a standard deviation ratio between two Gaussian filters around (-0.28) to (-0.99). Tophat filter sizes ranging from 300 to 1000 pixels produce segmentation results with Jaccard Index scores of 0.708±0.002, 0.728±0.002, and 0.739±0.004 across various images. Post-optimization, segmentation success remains at 66.67 %, struggling to accurately segment approximately 33.34 % of thin and long cells. Further improvements require noise reduction methods and exploration of filters with different shapes to accommodate elongated cells. © 2023 IEEE.

The integration of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) with 5th generation (5G) wireless technology is a topic of exploration by the 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP). High Altitude Platform Station (HAPS) is part of NTN which works at an altitude of 20 km above the earth's surface. Technically, HAPS will have a similar role to Base Transceiver Station (BTS). To be able to integrate HAPS and 5G, it is necessary to support multiple access techniques that are in accordance with 5G specifications. Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) is one of the multiple access options that is considered to meet the specifications of 5G. NOMA uses the principle of superposition coding by dividing each user based on the available power allocation. To decipher the information at the receiver, the successive interference cancellation (SIC) technique is still the favorite. NOMA is not a perfect technique, there are parts that need to be further developed to improve its performance. One part that is still being discussed is SIC. The process of parsing information using SIC will take more time when experiencing an increase in users. In addition, the potential for misreading the information will also result in accumulative errors for other users. In order to improve the performance of traditional NOMA, this paper will use a combination of TDMA-NOMA techniques to limit users sharing power allocation. The TDMA timeslot will limit NOMA pairs so the SIC process will not be more complex. As an illustration, the simulation shown in the form of a summary graph of each technique NOMA, TDMA-NOMA, and OMA which leads to the conclusion that TDMA-NOMA shows a superior performance to other techniques. © 2023 IEEE.
