Green energy is one of the most popular topics. The energy resource with minimum pollutants or environmentally friendly can be generated by hydropower, solar power, and many other resources. Solar energy is one of the most potential electric power sources. The PV module extracts an electric current that flows through the buck converter connected to the load. Optimization of solar energy systems has become important in a solar power plant. MPPT algorithm has become the key to optimizing power extraction. Incremental conductance (InC) is a popular MPPT algorithm. InC tracks MPP and generates PWM to control the buck converter. The advantages of InC are high-accuracy MPPT and small oscillation and the disadvantages are tracking speed of MPP. This algorithm has more power loss when the system starts and tracks MPP. Another algorithm such as Ripple Correlation Control (RCC) has the advantage fast in tracking MPP but it has lower accuracy in tracking MPP. This research resolves the InC's tracking speed MPP and reduces the power loss by a combined Ripple Correlation Control (RCC) MPPT algorithm. The result is tracking speed is 0.19 ms or 16 percent faster than conventional and reduces 4.1 watts or 3 percent power loss. © 2023 IEEE.

This research is focused on investigating the application of electric field grading method of functionally graded material (FGM) on a GIS spacer can reduce the maximum electric field intensity around the GIS triple junction area. To realize this purpose, FGM spacers in this study is using a fabricated discrete technique (stepwise layers). This study uses a spatial distribution model of discrete permittivity (r) of 5 layers with a value of 3.5 to 7.5. The composite filler that is mixed into the Epoxy Resin is TiO2 particles with high permittivity and SiO2 particles with low permittivity. The graded permittivity distribution is expected to allow effective in control the maximum of electric field strength along the surface of the spacer, especially in the triple junction (TJ) area as the weakest pant of the GIS insulation. From the electric field simulation results, it is obtained that permittivity distribution of the U-shape can reduce the electric field intensity around the high voltage triple junction (TJ-HV) area from 399.90 kV/m to 251.34 kV/m with 37% reduction. The large to small permittivity distribution (BS-FGM) can reduce the electric field intensity from 399.90 kV/m to 249.38 kV/m, with 38% the electric field. The final results of this study shows that fabricating spacer with permittivity distribution of Ushape, filler loading weight of 30% is used for the middle layer of the spacer, while part near the TJ-HV and TJ-GND sections, a filler loading weight of 40% is used vs the total weight of the epoxy resin matrix. © 2023 IEEE.

The implementation of a blockchain system for the automatic generation of academic credentials in a higher education institution can be considered as a safeguard against potential instances of abuse and counterfeiting of diplomas. However, the utilization of blockchain technology in the field of education, particularly within higher education institutions, appears to be limited in scope. This article aims to elucidate the advantages and constraints associated with the use of blockchain technology in higher education organizations. In addition, we present the ideas towards developing a blockchain-based prototype model that targets the automatic generation of diplomas using smart contracts and ensures the fast and secure verification of diplomas. In order to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the blockchain system, we aim to expand on its description via the use of graphical representations in the form of use case diagrams for each actor involved in the system. Additionally, we provide use case scenarios, as well as outline the functional as well as the nonfunctional requirements that are essential for the proper functioning of such a system. © 2023 IEEE.

Renewable energy is one of the best alternatives to getting electric power. At a photovoltaic power plant, there are 3 main important blocks such as PV itself, the converter, and the load. A PV array can be optimized by special material to absorb more solar energy or efficient material. On the other hand, efficient PV must use an optimum converter to reduce waste energy when the system is start-up and MPP. Many algorithm control to track MPP and hold MPP such as Perturb and Observe (P&O), Hill climbing, Incremental Conductance, etcetera. This article tries to solve one of the main problems with InC MPPT algorithm is waste electricity. It comes from when the converter start-up tracks the MPP and the oscillation when MPP reaches. There are a few treatments to reduce this problem such as variable step size at P&O and InC. This article presents the effect of clock frequency with InC MPPT algorithm. © 2023 IEEE.

Properly created and securely communicated,non-disclosure agreement(NDA)can resolve most of the common disputes related to outsourcing of offshore software maintenance(OSMO).Occasionally,these NDAs are in the form of *** the work is done offshore,these agreements or images must be shared through the Internet or stored over the *** breach of privacy,on the other hand,is a potential threat for the image owners as both the Internet and cloud servers are not void of *** article proposes a novel algorithm for securing the NDAs in the form of *** an agreement is signed between the two parties,it will be encrypted before sending to the cloud server or travelling through the public network,the *** the image is input to the algorithm,its pixels would be scrambled through the set of randomly generated rectangles for an arbitrary amount of *** confusion effects have been realized through an XOR operation between the confused image,and chaotic ***,5D multi-wing hyperchaotic system has been employed to spawn the chaotic vectors due to good properties of chaoticity it *** machine experimentation and the security analysis through a comprehensive set of validation metric vividly demonstrate the robustness,defiance to the multifarious threats and the prospects for some real-world application of the proposed encryption algorithm for the NDA images.

The demand for an efficient and automated solution to address the challenge of plant care in the face of limited human availability has led to the development of automatic watering systems. This system utilizes data from soil moisture, light intensity, and temperature sensors to provide efficient and effective plant care. When the system detects dry soil conditions, it initiates watering, ensuring that plants receive the necessary water for optimal growth. To further optimize watering cycles, the system incorporates adaptive linear regression. By analyzing historical data on soil moisture, the system estimates the next watering cycle. The simulations demonstrate that the predictor algorithm effectively handles soil moisture cases that increase while providing better estimation results when soil moisture decreases linearly. In essence, this means that the system can effectively adapt to changing conditions, ensuring that the right amount of water is delivered to the plants precisely when it's needed, thereby enhancing plant health and growth while optimizing water usage. This capability holds great promise for sustainable and efficient plant care, especially in situations where resources are limited or where environmentally responsible practices are essential. © 2023 IEEE.

Disentangling Prosody Representations With Unsupervised Speech Reconstruction

Human speech can be characterized by different components, including semantic content, speaker identity and prosodic information. Significant progress has been made in disentangling representations for semantic content and speaker identity in speech recognition and speaker verification tasks respectively. However, it is still an open challenging question to extract prosodic information because of the intrinsic association of different attributes, such as timbre and rhythm, and because of the need for supervised training schemes to achieve robust speech recognition. The aim of this article is to address the disentanglement of emotional prosody based on unsupervised reconstruction. Specifically, we identify, design, implement and integrate three crucial components in our proposed model Prosody2Vec: (1) a unit encoder that transforms speech signals into discrete units for semantic content, (2) a pretrained speaker verification model to generate speaker identity embeddings, and (3) a trainable prosody encoder to learn prosody representations. We first pretrain Prosody2Vec on unlabelled emotional speech corpora, then fine-tune the model on specific datasets to perform Speech Emotion Recognition (SER) and Emotional Voice Conversion (EVC) tasks. Both objective and subjective evaluations on the EVC task suggest that Prosody2Vec effectively captures general prosodic features that can be smoothly transferred to other emotional speech. In addition, our SER experiments on the IEMOCAP dataset reveal that the prosody features learned by Prosody2Vec are complementary and beneficial for the performance of widely used speech pretraining models and surpass the state-of-the-art methods when combining Prosody2Vec with HuBERT representations. Indoor localization is a technology that is used to quickly respond to first aid when a patient experiences sudden cardiac arrest. Users of this system are parties who would like to know the patient position and patients as detected objects. The way to do this research is to position the patient using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) as a Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) transmitter that is a simple and affordable solution. Emotibit, a tool used by patients as an RSSI scanner from BLE, will send RSSI data to the cloud and be processed into a decision on the location of the patient. In this experiment, the data processing method employs a spiking Neural Network (SNN) algorithm, which has the ability to perform spatiotemporal feature extraction and low-power computation through binary spikes. This model produces a regression performance metric, namely Mean Square Error (MSE), which can reduce the error by 53.4% compared to other methods such as Support Vector Classification (SCV), K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), and decision tree that are often used in indoor localization systems. © 2023 IEEE.

The skin is the outermost organ of the human body, playing a crucial role in maintaining internal balance and protecting vital organs from factors that could disrupt health. As the outermost part of the body, the skin is also vulnerable to various environmental exposures, such as sunlight radiation, air pollution, viruses, bacteria, and parasitic agents that cause skin diseases. Skin diseases can vary from mild conditions like rashes to more serious skin issues such as skin cancer. This diversity often poses challenges for medical professionals in accurately identifying and classifying skin diseases. However, the process of diagnosing skin diseases is still predominantly carried out manually, resulting in suboptimal accuracy and effectiveness. Thus, alternative methods are needed to address these limitations. Notably, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) techniques have led to remarkable advancements in computers' ability to recognize patterns in images, including medical images like skin images. This research aims to build a CNN model and compare the performance of DenseNet-201 with other CNN architectures. The dataset consists of 1,789 dermoscopy images of skin diseases. The training process involves a series of preprocessing techniques and the use of optimization algorithms. Evaluation results utilizing a confusion matrix demonstrate that the DenseNet-201 architecture achieves an accuracy of 99%. The model with the best accuracy is implemented into a web application using the Flask framework. This application allows users to upload images of skin diseases and promptly receive accurate prediction results. © 2023 IEEE.
