An era of automation is currently being experienced, where everything is becoming more automated day by day. Automation technology has been applied everywhere, from smaller to larger scales. Moreover, real-time communication between complicated human-machine interfaces is one of the difficulties of the fourth industrial revolution. That is why robots are essential in this field because they improve human lifestyles, lighten workloads, and carry out several dangerous tasks. This research presents a groundbreaking advancement in the form of an automated real-time IoT-based data monitoring robot in an era characterized by the proliferation of automation and the Internet of Things (IoT). This ground-breaking system combines GPS-GSM functionality, human life detection, land mine detection, image processing, and live streaming in an efficient manner. The robot utilizes its IoT framework and a variety of embedded sensors and technology to gather, process, and transmit realtime data from its surroundings. Notably, it supports disaster response, military operations, and safety measures by performing the vital tasks of detecting human life and land mines. Freezing of Gait (FoG) is a disabling condition in Parkinson's patients, which could cause their motion to be temporarily hindered. Wearable sensors have been commonly used to detect FoG, but this will be of limited use since the patient cannot be notified prior to the FoG event. In this research, a system that can be used to predict the FoG in Parkinson's patients well ahead of the event was developed. This is a multimodal sensor system that consists of Plantar pressure sensors placed in the insole of the shoes and Inertial Measurement Units placed on the shank of each leg. 3 machine learning algorithms were developed: K means, K Nearest Neighbors, and Support Vector Machines. Out of the 3 algorithms used, the KNN algorithm was determined to have the highest FoG prediction sensitivity of 0.88. The Pressure sensors captured more swift variations in Gait during freezing compared to the IMUs. This system could identify FoG 4.42s ahead of the event and used an optimal time window of 1s. This system could be developed to yield more accurate predictions, and this could be integrated with an auditory biofeedback system to warn the patient of FoG, to minimize its occurrence. © 2023 IEEE.

This work provides the design and analysis of a single layer,linearly polarized millimeter wave reflectarray antenna with mutual coupling *** analysis was carried out at 26GHz design frequency using the simulations of the reflectarray unit cells as well as the periodic reflectarray *** simulated results were verified by the scattering parameter and far-fieldmeasurements of the unit cell and periodic arrays,*** agreement between the simulated and measured results was observed in all the *** from the unit cells and reflectarray,the waveguide and horn antenna were also fabricated to be used in the *** measured scattering parameter results of the proposed circular ring unit cells provided a maximum reflection loss of 2.8 dB with phase errors below 10°.On the other hand,the measured far-field results of the 20×20 reflectarray antenna provided a maximum gain of 26.45 dB with a maximum 3 dB beam width of 12°and 1 dB gain drop bandwidth of 13.1%.The performance demonstrated by the proposed reflectarray antenna makes it a potential candidate to be used in modern-day applications such as 5th Generation(5G)and 6th Generation(6G)communication systems.

A discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) technique is presented to enhance the efficiency of an AC-DC matrix based buck converter. A new modulation scheme is developed to ensure proper converter operation in DCM preventing input current distortion. System performance in terms of total harmonic distortion (THD) including comparison with continuous conduction mode (CCM) operation is examined experimentally. Conduction and switching losses under different grid voltage in both modes are compared via simulation.

Feature learning algorithms that use deep neural networks have shown to outperform traditional hand-crafted feature extraction methods when applied to satellite image time series. This learned features can be used in a multitude of applications such as classification, semantic segmentation, and change detection, among others. In this paper, we employ a feature learning technique to extract representative features from multimission polarimetric SAR (PolSAR) satellite image time series (SITS). To this end, we implement a formulation combining a 1-dimensional convolutional neural network and a stacked auto encoder. We performed experiments on a multimission and multitemporal PolSAR dataset and validated the extracted features through their utility as features in an unsupervised classification problem.

Emotion detection aims to interpret emotions through data like text, voice, and physiological signals, which holds significant potential for monitoring mental health and human-computer interaction. Electroencephalogram (EEG) is a non-invasive technique recording brain activity and offers unique insights for real-time emotion detection. This study evaluates classifying emotions (i.e. positive, negative, neutral) in EEG using deep learning, emphasizing Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN). After going through the preprocessing part, the time-frequency representations along with random transformations were created as inputs to the CNN architecture by a short-time Fourier transform of the EEG signals from the SEED dataset. The spectrograms have been processed to have better outcomes, and they showed an overall accuracy of 99.80% in detecting the emotions classes. Also, processed spectrograms, along with the actual spectrograms, have been fed together to the CNN model as a hypothesis, and there we achieved an overall accuracy of 66%, depicting that the usage of processed spectrograms can be a potential field of study to recognize emotions from EEG signals.

It is critical to identify pathogens such as Vibrio Cholera, Escherichia Coli (E. coli), Bacillus Anthracis, and Enterococcus Faecalis, which cause infections in the blood, lungs, and other bodily parts. We present here a Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) biosensor-based Photonic Crystal Fiber (PCF) for the detection of pathogenic bacteria which pollute drinking water. The proposed sensor exhibits excellent performance characteristics, and it has the configuration of detecting analyte samples externally. The sensor is built with a basic square lattice of PCF, covered with a thin chemically stable gold layer. The sensor's performance is studied numerically using a finite element (FE)-based simulation tool, where the highest wavelength sensitivity is found to be 5161 nm/RIU for detecting Enterococcus Faecalis bacteria. Other critical parameters such as Signal to Noise Ratio, Detection Limit, and Sensor Length are also evaluated and presented for the proposed PCF biosensor © 2022 IEEE.

Among different routes of the generation of electrical power, solar photovoltaic is one of the most promising and trusted technology. Organic, organic-inorganic hybrid lead-based perovskite compounds are becoming commercially appealing as absorber materials in the majority of perovskite solar cells due to high PCE (power conversion efficiency), low cost, availability of materials, and ease of production. However, as mentioned above, lead-based organic perovskite solar cells are unstable in open space. Nowadays, Sn-based inorganic perovskites are becoming more popular than lead-based perovskites as Pb-based perovskite solar cells are toxic and not environment-friendly. In this study, the thickness, doping density, defect density, energy bandgap of the absorber, and ETL (electron transport layer) and HTL (hole transport layer) materials of the cell are optimized using SCAPS-1D simulator. The final structure is FTO/ZnO/CsSnGeI3/NiO/Cu2O, where FTO works as TCO (transparent conducting oxide) layer. The optimized structure offered an open-circuit voltage (Voc) of 1.245V, a short-circuit current (Jsc) of 28.189 mA/cm2, a Fill Factor (FF) of 89.97%, and an overall PCE of 31.57%. According to the literature, this is the highest PCE for the CsSnGeI3 perovskite solar cell with all-inorganic layers. The proposed optimized structure will pave the path for the fabrication of low-cost, environment friendly and stable perovskite solar cell. © 2022 IEEE.

Good quality of education and environment is needed to build a good education system. In order to determine the right quality of education, it is necessary to get away from bias and evaluate its accuracy. And the only way to adequately verify it is examination, which is the cornerstone of an optimum educational system. The major goal of the test is to measure the students' abilities. However, the biggest obstacle has arrived in the form of question paper leakage. Day by day it is becoming a very common phenomenon. So, in order to solve this issue we have implemented a system which is IOT Based and Protected System with Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). In our proposed system we primarily attempted to create a sealed electronic box that will be used to protect question papers. We have an RFID scanner for security as well as the utilization of a buzzer and GSM in this mechanism, where is also a protection layer such as sending OTP to the authorized person. Finally, we will monitor the real time update of everything through a specific web panel server. © 2022 IEEE.

A novel study of plasmonic material comparison has been performed on a dual polarized photonic crystal fiber (PCF) based square lattice microchannel incorporated surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor which has. Lead and bismuth have been individually deposited on to the micro channel and the performance parameters of the sensor have then been studied and compared. The Finite Element Method (FEM) has been adopted to carry out the numerical investigations. Using lead, for the x- and y-polarized modes respectively, the sensor achieved a highest wavelength sensitivity of 36,000 nm/RIU and 55,000 nm/RIU, maximum amplitude sensitivity of-436.9 boldsymbol{text{RIU}^{-1}} and -719.4 boldsymbol{text{RIU}^{-1}}, minimum resolution of boldsymbol{2.8times 10^{-6}} RIU and boldsymbol{1.8times 10^{-6}} RIU, and the highest figure of merit (FOM) of 3007.5 RIU-1and 426.9 boldsymbol{text{RIU}^{-1}}, along with a wide analyte refractive index (RI) sensing range. Using bismuth, for dual polarized modes, the sensor obtained a highest wavelength sensitivity of 15,000 nm/RIU and 60,000 nm/RIU, maximum amplitude sensitivity of -241.4 RIU-1 and -224.1 RIU-1, minimum resolution of boldsymbol{6.7times 10^{-6}} RIU and boldsymbol{1.7times 10^{-6}} RIU, highest FOM of 188.6 RIU-1 and 127.7 mathbf{RIU}^{-1}, in addition to a broad RI sensing range. The signal to noise ratio (SNR), detection limit, sensor length, and the detection accuracy have also been investigated for the dual polarization using the two metals. With its extremely impressive performance parameters and wide sensing range, the sensor can be used to detect a broad spectrum of analytes, especially, chlorodifluoromethane refrigerant R-22, pseudomonas bacteria, and ethyl-, methyl-, propyl-based alcohol. © 2022 IEEE.
