Three new modifications of second-order low-frequency discrete analog filters (DAFs) based on switched capacitors have been developed and studied. A distinctive feature of the DAFs under consideration is the presence of two resistors in the general feedback circuit. This allows, at constant values of the capacitances of the frequency-setting capacitors and a fixed switching frequency of electronic switches, to control the frequency of the DAF pole by changing the resistance ratio of these resistors. The basic equations for the low-pass filter gain at zero frequency, the low-pass filter gain at the pole frequency, as well as formulas for calculating the pole frequency and pole attenuation are given. In the Micro-Cap environment, computer simulation of the proposed modifications of the DAF was performed, which shows that the considered circuit solutions perform the functions of a low-pass filter. © 2024 IEEE.

Residual Carrying Capacity Evaluation and Parking Orbit Replanning for Lunar Exploration Launch Vehicle

To cope with the potential thrust-drop malfunction of the manned lunar exploration launch vehicle, a parking orbit replanning method is proposed based on the evaluation of the residual carrying capacity of the launcher. By analyzing the constraints of the whole flight profile and the characteristics of the Earth–Moon transfer orbit systematically, the offline trajectory planning algorithm exhibits improved convergence performance, and thus can be used to evaluate the residual carrying capacity as thrust-drop happens. For the situations that the launcher is not capable of injecting the transfer orbit, a sequential orbit/trajectory replanning method is designed to guarantee the safety of the astronauts. On the premise of ensuring the altitude of the parking orbit, the elements about the orbital plane are further optimized to provide a favorable initial state for the subsequent rescue action. Meanwhile, the nonlinearity of the terminal constraints is alleviated by the injection point forecast, and the initial reference is generated by convex optimization method with well convergence;thus, the solving efficiency of the sequential replanning algorithm can be improved. Simulation results show the proposed method can generate the trajectory that transport the spacecraft to the optimal parking orbit under the thrust-drop malfunction situation. To design active analog, discrete-analog and digital filters a new method is suggested, taking into account the conditions of selective invariance and using the internal models principle of the dynamic systems. For this purpose, the structure of each basic filter ensures the presence of an explicit spectral model of the filtered signal. Such a filter is selectively invariant, and this property depend only on the spectrum-setting parameters and do not depend on other parameters. It is suggest-ed to carry out the design of the combined selective filters by integration of the suggested basic second-order filters, focusing on the log magnitude plot of the latter. This makes possible to minimize the order of the combined both analog and digital filters. The combined selective filters are distinguished by high stability of selective properties and can be used in the systems for measurement, signal processing, data transmission, as well as automatic and automated control of various social, production and special facilities. © 2024 IEEE.

Solving the explicit model predictive control (MPC) problem entails enumerating a list of critical regions and their ancillary feedback laws. Unfortunately, their number and the time required to compute them increase exponentially with the problem size (state-space model dimension and length of the prediction horizon). We show that when, as it is often the case, the problem's constraints take the form of boxes or zonotopes, the resulting feasible domain can be compactly described as a constrained zonotope. Subsequently, we investigate whether, and under which circumstances, the combinatorial structure of the constrained zonotope interpretation accelerates the computation of the explicit solution. © 2024 IEEE.

The wind-wave excitations cause structural vibrations on the Floating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWT) pressing the power generation efficiency and reducing the life expectancy. In particular, tower-top displacement and barge-type platform pitch dynamics are extremely sensitive to wind speed and wave elevation to the point that may even lead to structural instability in extreme conditions. Having into account that computational techniques such as Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) are widely used in artificial intelligence because of their strong predicting and forecasting capabilities, the aim of this article is to create a deep-layer ANN model that incorporates Oscillating Water Columns (OWCs) into the barge platform. This ANN model enables to address stability issues of the hybrid floating offshore wind platform. The proposed control-oriented model has been successfully validated to achieve adequate dynamic behavior and structural performance using FAST. © 2022 IEEE.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the possibilities of improving the methodology for selecting the operation parameters of the longitudinal differential protection of a power transformer when using new types of current transformers such Rogowski Coils, optical current transformers (including digital ones) and their combinations with traditional current transformers. The results of studies of the characteristics of digital transformers are presented, also the heat, repeatability of construction and continuous operating conditions influence on it are shown. Based on anlysis for these studies possible improvements in the methodology for selecting the operation parameters of the differential protection of the transformer are proposed. These improvements can increse the sensitivity and reliability for differential transformer protection. © 2023 IEEE.

A CBjT high-speed operational amplifier (op-amp) has been developed and studied, which differs from known in its modified input stage (IS), as well as the architecture of the intermediate 'folded' cascode (FC). The proposed circuits IS and FC circuits solve the problem of increasing the maximum slew rate of the output voltage (SR) in large-signal mode by more than 10 times. In the LTspice environment, computer simulation of an op-amp on complementary bipolar transistors was performed, which shows that the use of the developed transient correction circuits makes it possible to increase SR from 103 V/μs to 1408 V/μs. The logarithmic amplitude-frequency characteristics of the op-amp under study are given for different options for its inclusion - with and without general negative feedback. The leading and trailing edges of the op-amp transient process were studied with an input rectangular pulse signal with an amplitude of 5V at different values of the capacitance of the additional correction capacitor Ck1. The simulation results are presented in the form of a table that establishes the relationship between the numerical values of the maximum rate of rise of the output voltage of the op-amp and the capacitance Ck1. The considered op-amp is recommended for use in various automation devices and communication systems, for example, discrete-analog filters on switched capacitors, high-speed ADC drivers, etc. © 2024 IEEE.

The Co-operative Adaptive Cruise control (CACC) is one of the key subsystems of Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) that have the potential to increase the road traffic capacity and improve traffic safety with shorter inter-vehicle spacing between vehicles. The spacing strategies are the core of all CACC control algorithms which are chosen based on design purposes for the system. This work presents a comparative research to evaluate the effectiveness of two spacing strategies, consisting of the constant spacing strategy and, constant time headway strategy, which is suitable for information flow topologies. The main focus of this research analyzes the benefits of operating mechanisms as well as the characteristics of each spacing strategy. The results of the simulations using software Matlab/Simulink have demonstrated the performances and applicability of each spacing policy. © 2021, Politechnica University of Bucharest. Cyber-physical power system (CPPS), with its bi-directional power and information flows, is considered as the next generation of widely distributed and automated electrical power network. However, CPPS is vulnerable to malicious cyberattacks that can cause significant operational risk and financial loss to stakeholders, such as electricity system operators. The complexity of vulnerabilities, which arises from the heterogeneity and interdependency of physical and cyber domains, will present substantial challenges for the detection and prevention of cyberattacks. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the defense mechanisms in CPPS against coordinated and widespread cyberattacks. The most prevalent cyberattacks in the CPPS are denial-of-service (DoS) and false data injection (FDI) attacks. This paper examines the state-of-the-art prevention, detection, and mitigation technologies for these major mainstreams and coordinated cyberattacks. In particular, the advantages and disadvantages of popular cyberattack prevention sciences such as Game Theory, Optimization, control Theory, and Data-driven method are discussed. It reveals that cyberattack detection techniques have evolved from traditional state estimation to artificial intelligence-based methods. Finally, the challenges and opportunities for future research on cybersecurity in CPPS are identified. © 2023 IEEE.

In recent years, wide bandgap semiconductor devices such as silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) have been increasingly applied in electric drive systems, effectively enhancing system power density. However, the high-frequency and high-speed characteristics of SiC devices exacerbate electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues within the system. Additionally, the cables in electric drive systems exhibit significant antenna effects, radiating conducted EMI into the surrounding space, thereby affecting the normal operation of other sensitive equipment. Therefore, it is essential to research motor drive system topologies that can actively suppress EMI and predict radiated interference in motor drive systems. The topology of a four-module motor paired with parallel inverters can achieve active suppression of EMI at the source. This paper conducts a simulation-based prediction of radiated interference for a parallel inverter-driven four-module motor system. It analyzes the coupling mechanisms of common mode and differential mode radiated interference and validates the radiated interference from both DC and AC cables through simulations, predicting the impact on surrounding sensitive equipment in practical systems. © 2024 IEEE.
