Dysarthria is a motor speech disorder due to neurologic deficits. The impaired movement of muscles for speech production leads to disordered speech where utterances have prolonged pause intervals, slow speaking rates, poor articulation of phonemes, syllable deletions, etc. These present challenges towards the use of speech technologies for automatic processing of dysarthric speech data. In order to address these challenges, this work begins by addressing the performance degradation faced in forced alignment. We perform initial alignments to locate long pauses in dysarthric speech and make use of the pause intervals as anchor points. We apply speech recognition for word lattice outputs for recovering the time-stamps of the words in disordered or incomplete pronunciations. By verifying the initial alignments with word lattices, we obtain the reliably aligned segments. These segments provide constraints for new alignment grammars, that can improve alignment and transcription quality. We have applied the proposed strategy to the TORGO corpus and obtained improved alignments for most dysarthric speech data, while maintaining good alignments for non-dysarthric speech data. Transformer models exploit multi-head self-attention to capture long-range information. Further, window-based self-attention solves the problem of quadratic computational complexity and provides a new solution for dense prediction of 3D images. However, Transformers miss structural information due to the naive tokenization scheme. Furthermore, single-scale attention fails to achieve a balance between feature representation and semantic information. Aiming at the above problems, we propose a window-based dynamic crossscale cross-attention transformer (DCS-Former) for precise representation of the diversity features. DCS-former first constructs dual-compound feature representations through Antehoc Structure-aware Module and Post-hoc Class-aware Module. Then, the bidirectional attention structure is designed to interactively fuse structural features with class representations. The experimental results show that our method outperforms various competing segmentation models on three different public datasets. © 2023 IEEE.

The advent of 5G networks marks a revolutionary shift in wireless communications, offering unprecedented improvements in speed, latency, and connectivity. Accurate uplink and downlink throughput prediction is crucial for 5G network Operations and Maintenance (O&M) tasks, yet existing methods constructing intuitive predictors without structural optimization often fail to adapt to dynamic 5 G environments due to the lack of effective utilization of domain knowledge. To address this, we present KNAS-TP, the first domain knowledge-driven automated construction method for 5G throughput prediction based on Neural Architecture Search (NAS) and the Attention mechanism. KNAS-TP incorporates domain knowledge in NAS search space establishment and loss function definitions, which includes the match degree evaluation of the complexity of the searched neural network structure and corresponding knowledge. Additionally, KNAS-TP enhances model using an Attention mechanism to captures the uneven impacts of deep factors, thereby improving final model training and prediction accuracy. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our model outperforms all comparative methods, achieving up to $8.5 \times$ lower throughput prediction MSE. The integration of domain knowledge is essential for robust and accurate throughput predictions, validating the effectiveness of our methodology in complex 5G scenarios.

The emerging Fog paradigm has been attracting increasing interests from both academia and industry, due to the low-latency, resilient, and cost-effective services it can provide. Many Fog applications such as video mining and event monitoring, rely on data stream processing and analytics, which are very popular in the Cloud, but have not been comprehensively investigated in the context of Fog architecture. In this article, we present the general models and architecture of Fog data streaming, by analyzing the common properties of several typical applications. We also analyze the design space of Fog streaming with the consideration of four essential dimensions (system, data, human, and optimization), where both new design challenges and the issues arise from leveraging existing techniques are investigated, such as Cloud stream processing, computer networks, and mobile computing. In the era of big data, it is of great significance to study data-driven fault diagnostic methods for equipment in complex industrial environments. In this paper, a data-driven fault diagnostic method for rolling bearing based on RF-LSTM is proposed, which combines random forest (RF) algorithm with long and short term memory (LSTM) networks. RF is used to select sensor data's features, which have great influence on rolling bearing fault diagnosis, and LSTM is used for prediction rolling bearing's working states. The proposed method is used for fault diagnosis of the Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) bearing dataset and the experimental results validated the effectiveness of the proposed RF-LSTM model. Experimental results also show that the performance of the RFLSTM model is better than that of RF, LSTM, RF-RF, PCA-RF, PCA-LSTM models. © 2021 IEEE.

This paper investigates the use of discrete event simulation (DES) as a potential decision-support tool for environmentally sustainable production planning. We propose a comprehensive methodology that integrates DES design, dynamic CO2 intensity calculations, and in-depth scenario analysis. This approach facilitates simulation-driven production planning with an emphasis on evaluating and reducing the environmental impacts of manufacturing. Our methodology is applied to the evaluation of an industrial progressive die stamping process (PDSP). The PDSP is a part of a production line in a large Danish manufacturing company. The performance of the PDSP was simulated and evaluated for two working days: 09 Jan 2024 and 10 Jan 2024. Key performance indicators like utilization rate and lead time are assessed alongside environmental sustainability metrics such as process CO2 emissions and CO2 emissions per product. Building upon this baseline, we then simulate and compare two alternative production scenarios: i) increased production capacity and ii) variations in planning orders. These scenarios are then contrasted with the baseline model. Our results demonstrate the potential of DES in identifying new production strategies. The first scenario demonstrates a 7% increase in production capacity, corresponding to a 2.6% increase in process CO2 emissions. The second scenario demonstrates a 5% reduction in process CO2 emissions while retaining the same production capacity as the baseline model. These findings illustrate how DES can uncover production plans that prioritize sustainable manufacturing. Copyright © 2024 by ASME.

Sparse representation-based classification(SRC) has been widely used because it just relies on simple linear regression ideas to do classification, and it does not need learning. However, the performance of SRC is limited by needing sufficient labeled samples per class and the sensitivity to class imbalance. For tackling these problems, an improved SRC model is constructed in this paper. For alleviating the problem of insufficient labeled samples, an unlabeled data-driven inverse projection sparse representation-based classification model is constructed to achieve effective and stable representation and recognition results. The L1/2 and S1/2 regularizations are introduced to capture the sparsity of 1-D and 2-D, and to make the model have good statistical properties. Moreover, the cost-sensitive strategy is integrated into the model's classification criteria to improve the imbalance of class distribution adaptively, especially for multiclass imbalanced data.A solver utilizing the mixed Gauss-Seidel and Jacobian ADMM algorithm is developed to obtain the approximate solution. Experiments on common public test databases show that the proposed model achieves competitive results compared with the latest published results and some deep-learning algorithms.

Relation prediction in knowledge graphs (KGs) aims at predicting missing relations in incomplete triples, whereas the dominant paradigm by KG embeddings has a limitation to predict the relation between unseen entities. This situation is called an inductive setting, which is more common in the real-world scenario. To handle this issue, implicit symbolic rules have shown great potential in capturing the inductive capability. However, it is still challenging to obtain precise representations of logic rules from KGs. The argument variability and predicate non-commutativity in symbolic rule integration make the modeling of component symbols difficult. To this end, we propose a novel inductive relation prediction model named SymRITa with a logic transformer integrating rules. SymRITa firstly extracts the subgraph, whose embeddings are captured by a graph network. Meanwhile, symbolic rule graphs in the subgraph can be generated. Then, the symbolic rules are modeled by a proposed logic transformer. Specifically, the input format based on the subgraph-based embeddings is to focus on the argument variability in symbolic rules. In addition, a conjunction attention mechanism in the logic transformer can resolve predicate non-commutativity in the symbolic rule integration process. Finally, the subgraph-based and symbol-based embeddings obtained from the previous steps are combined for the training regime, and prediction results as well as rules explaining the reasoning process are explicitly output. Extensive experiments on twelve inductive datasets show that SymRITa achieves outstanding effectiveness compared to state-of-the-art inductive baselines. Moreover, the logic rules with corresponding confidences provide an interpretable paradigm. © 2024 ACM.

Massive data is written to blockchain systems for the destination of keeping safe. However, existing blockchain protocols still demand that each full node has to contain the entire chain. Most nodes quit because they are unable to grow their storage space with the size of data. As the number of nodes decreases, the security of blockchains would significantly reduce. We present SE-Chain, a novel scale-out blockchain model that improves storage scalability under the premise of ensuring safety and achieves efficient retrieval. The SE-Chain consists of three parts:the data layer, the processing layer and the storage layer. In the data layer, each transaction is stored in the AB-M tree (Adaptive Balanced Merkle tree), which adaptively combines the advantages of balanced binary tree (quick retrieval) and Merkle tree (quick verification). In the processing layer, the full nodes store the part of the complete chain selected by the duplicate ratio regulation algorithm. Meanwhile, the node reliability verification method is used for increasing the stability of full nodes and reducing the risk of imperfect data recovering caused by the reduction of duplicate number in the storage layer. The experimental results on real datasets show that the query time of SE-Chain based on the AB-M tree is reduced by 17% when 16 nodes exist. Overall, SE-Chain improves the storage scalability extremely and implements efficient querying of transactions.

In order to realize the explicit expression of the distribution network data relationship of the power grid enterprises and the efficient search of data resources, a method for modeling and intelligent searching of distribution network data resources based on knowledge mapping is proposed. This method firstly identifies the core ontology of the distribution network based on the ontology construction process and the distribution network business, then maps and extracts the identified ontology model and the relational database physical model to form a knowledge mapping of distribution network data resources. On this basis, combining the BiLSTM-CRF-based distribution network named entity recognition algorithm and the BERT-based Chinese semantic matching algorithm, a distribution network data resource search engine technology is proposed to realize the search text feature extraction and result matching. Finally, the application verification data of a power grid company shows that the distribution network knowledge mapping has a good effect on the expression and visualization of data resource relationships. At the same time, the accuracy rate of the proposed distribution network data resource search engine technology method reaches 72.2%. © 2020 IEEE.
