Rtecently a lot of works have been investigating to find the tenuous groups,i.e.,groups with few social interactions and weak relationships among members,for reviewer selection and psycho-educational group ***,the metrics(e.g.,k-triangle,k-line,and k-tenuity)used to measure the tenuity,require a suitable k value to be specified which is difficult for users without background ***,in this paper we formulate the most tenuous group(MTG)query in terms of the group distance and average group distance of a group measuring the tenuity to eliminate the influence of parameter k on the tenuity of the *** address the MTG problem,we first propose an exact algorithm,namely MTGVDIS,which takes priority to selecting those vertices whose vertex distance is large,to generate the result group,and also utilizes effective filtering and pruning *** MTGVDIS is not fast enough,we design an efficient exact algorithm,called MTG-VDGE,which exploits the degree metric to sort the vertexes and proposes a new combination order,namely degree and reverse based branch and bound(DRBB).MTG-VDGE gives priority to those vertices with small *** a large p,we further develop an approximation algorithm,namely MTG-VDLT,which discards candidate attendees with high degree to reduce the number of vertices to be *** experimental results on real datasets manifest that the proposed algorithms outperform existing approaches on both efficiency and group tenuity.

Diabetes is a chronic and progressive condition that, if not diagnosed early, can lead to serious health complications, often we will see that patients learn they have diabetes only years after its emergence this points out the significance of precise and early identification. Thus, diabetes is a global health issue that requires timely detection. Traditional methods for diagnosing diabetes often involve expensive procedures, which can lead to delays in diagnosis. Using iris images for diabetes detection through deep learning algorithms offers a more accurate and cost-effective alternative. In general, a person with diabetes may experience changes in the iris, such as alterations in pattern, texture, or pigmentation. To identify these altered features, high-resolution observation is required. For this purpose, we use advanced imaging techniques and deep learning algorithms to analyze and interpret the changes in iris characteristics. CNN's, known for their powerful feature extraction capabilities, effectively captured and analyzed complex details in iris patterns. This approach utilizes several types of algorithms available in deep learning like Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), MobileNetV2, InceptionV3, ResNet50 and CNNs along with transformers. All these algorithms are widely known for their efficiency in image analyzing applications. Thus, we have chosen to implement the same procedural approach but for different algorithms. Finally, we had found an efficient algorithm in such a way that it gives the highest accuracy for the same dataset as compared with the other algorithms. It proved that CNNs are effective in identifying features and patterns in images and it gave the accuracy of about 93.91 % showing its effectiveness. Thus, ultimate aim of this approach is to provide an accurate, non-invasive and cost-effective way of diabetes disease diagnosis. © 2024 IEEE.

Telemedicine refers to delivering healthcare services, including diagnosis, treatment, and consultations, remotely through digital communication tools such as video calls, phone calls, and online messaging. Access to quality healthcare remains a significant challenge in underserved rural areas worldwide. Due to transportation issues and financial support in remote areas, people can only visit hospitals close to their location. Current telemedicine applications provide video conversations with doctors but need more seamless services due to the huge population increase in cities and the unavailability of internet services for people in rural areas. This article presents a medical chatbot application trained on a customized health assistant corpus to generate fast responses in text format to queries related to common health issues. The solution is built on the BERT model to train the chatbot, which includes MLM and NSP, which is one of the best ways to obtain accurate results. The BERT model trained on customized health assessment corpus consists of multiple health assessment corpora and health assistant queries/responses collected from different sources and achieved 96.5% test accuracy. Since the model is pre-trained, it will generate the response as fast as possible. In addition to that, the application provides 24/7 availability, user-friendly interfaces, remote monitoring, and robust data security. © 2024 IEEE.

Among the most vital organs that protect the body of a human from the external environment is the skin. Early skin illness identification is essential for reducing mortality because it prevents skin cancer, and any other skin disease from developing. But because it resembles skin patches, insect bites etc in appearance, early detection that might lengthen life expectancy is a fantastic experiment. We would be working with different skin diseases namely ‘Acne’, ‘Eczema or Atopic Dermatitis’, ‘melanoma’. A working model that uses image analysis and machine learning to classify and identify skin conditions. A brand-new, cutting edge automated system that can swiftly and accurately identify skin lesions is needed to deal with biomedical pictures. There is growing curiosity concerning the application of deep learning to the diagnosis and management of different diseases. For the early detection of skin disease, we therefore suggested a deep learning model based on CNN and the merger of the U-Net and ResNet models is presented as a fusion model that has been used to perform encoding decoding of the disorders using skin scans. This model integrates image processing, image enhancement, machine learning and segmentation techniques. The model yielded an overall accuracy of 95.6%. Incorporate additional skin conditions in the future to strengthen our model's suitability for medical applications. ©2024 IEEE.

The main control objective for the quad-rotor system is the attitude and position tracking control which is accomplished in this article using the backstepping fractional-order sliding mode control approach combined with the adaptive tuning based barrier function theory. The quad-rotor's dynamical model is obtained at the appearance of the disturbance that is entered to the quad-rotor system by an exterior force. Hence, the attitude and position tracking errors between the quad-rotor's actual states and their desired trajectory are defined. Afterward, the fractional-order sliding surfaces are defined to guarantee finite-time reachability of the defined tracking error. The designed fractional-order surface eases the control process due to the removal of the high-derivative of virtual controllers. Then, the extended adaptive barrier function laws named fractional-order-based adaptive barrier function laws are employed to eliminate the knowledge of the upper bounds of external disturbances. The Lyapunov theory concept mixed with the backstepping control strategy is used to demonstrate that the fractional-order sliding surface reaches the neighborhood of origin in the finite time. Finally, simulation results in various scenarios on the MATLAB/ Simulink environment are provided to show that the designed control procedure in this article is an efficient control technique to assure that attitude and position's trajectories of the quad-rotor system track desired trajectories properly in the existence of the external disturbances. Moreover, the designed method is compared to the existing method to validate the efficiency of the proposed method. Lastly, experimental results using the Speedgoat real-time target machine is implemented to assure validity of the recommended method. © 1965-2011 IEEE.

Automated emotion recognition using electroencephalogram (EEG) signals has gained substantial attention. Although deep learning approaches exhibit strong performance, they often suffer from vulnerabilities to various perturbations, like environmental noise and adversarial attacks. In this paper, we propose an Inception feature generator and two-sided perturbation (INC-TSP) approach to enhance emotion recognition in brain-computer interfaces. INC-TSP integrates the Inception module for EEG data analysis and employs two-sided perturbation (TSP) as a defensive mechanism against input perturbations. TSP introduces worst-case perturbations to the model's weights and inputs, reinforcing the model's elasticity against adversarial attacks. The proposed approach addresses the challenge of maintaining accurate emotion recognition in the presence of input uncertainties. We validate INC-TSP in a subject-independent three-class emotion recognition scenario, demonstrating robust performance. © 2024 IEEE.

Facial emotion recognition (FER) is largely utilized to analyze human emotion in order to address the needs of many real-time applications such as computer-human interfaces, emotion detection, forensics, biometrics, and human-robot collaboration. Nonetheless, existing methods are mostly unable to offer correct predictions with a minimum error rate. In this paper, an innovative facial emotion recognition framework, termed extended walrus-based deep learning with Botox feature selection network (EWDL-BFSN), was designed to accurately detect facial emotions. The main goals of the EWDL-BFSN are to identify facial emotions automatically and effectively by choosing the optimal features and adjusting the hyperparameters of the classifier. The gradient wavelet anisotropic filter (GWAF) can be used for image pre-processing in the EWDL-BFSN model. Additionally, SqueezeNet is used to extract significant features. The improved Botox optimization algorithm (IBoA) is then used to choose the best features. Lastly, FER and classification are accomplished through the use of an enhanced optimization-based kernel residual 50 (EK-ResNet50) network. Meanwhile, a nature-inspired metaheuristic, walrus optimization algorithm (WOA) is utilized to pick the hyperparameters of EK-ResNet50 network model. The EWDL-BFSN model was trained and tested with publicly available CK+ and FER-2013 datasets. The Python platform was applied for implementation, and various performance metrics such as accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and F1-score were analyzed with state-of-the-art methods. The proposed EWDL-BFSN model acquired an overall accuracy of 99.37 and 99.25% for both CK+ and FER-2013 datasets and proved its superiority in predicting facial emotions over state-of-the-art methods. ©2024 the Author(s), licensee AIMS Press.

According to research by the world health organization (WHO), approximately 0.63% of children are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). ASD commonly emerges during childhood and persists through adolescence and adulthood. Early detection of ASD is crucial as it can lead to effective interventions and improved outcomes. Machine learning and deep learning techniques have gained significant recognition for their efficacy in various fields including biomedicine and medicine. These models offer valuable tools for data interpretation in clinical diagnostics and decision-making processes. Consequently, researchers emphasize the utility of both machine learning and deep learning methods for disease screening. This study aims to leverage both machine learning and deep learning techniques to classify ASD cases using a dataset sourced from the UCI repository. The dataset encompasses pediatric cases. The classification task employed k-nearest neighbors' algorithm (k-NN), support vector machine (SVM), and convolutional neural network (CNN). Among these, CNN outperformed SVM and k-NN, achieving a remarkable accuracy of 99.71%. © 2023 IEEE.

Early detection is vital in crop health, yet improvement in productivity faces time-consuming and inefficient challenges due to traditional manual techniques of plant disease detection. Thus, we present a deep learning-based novel framework with a method called k-means clustering with DenseNet Classification denoted by Kmc-Densenet. The approach streamlines this plant disease detection process involving the overall pipeline of extensive preprocessing, segmentation, and classification. In the preprocessing stage, we employ contrast enhancement techniques to improve the visibility of disease symptoms, ensuring clearer and more consistent leaf images for further analysis. For the segmentation task, we leverage a k-means clustering which effectively isolates regions of interest, distinguishing between healthy and diseased areas of the plant leaf. In the classification stage, we use a DenseNet variant of CNN, known for its feature reuse capabilities, to classify the plant diseases with high accuracy. The DenseNet model helps overcome the challenges posed by class imbalance, enhancing the overall detection performance. Finally the parameters of the Densenet model is fine-tuned using the Lyrebird Optimization Algorithm. The proposed Kmc-Densenet method is evaluated on the publicly available Plant village dataset, demonstrating superior performance in both segmentation and classification tasks. This framework offers a more efficient and reliable solution for early plant disease detection in precision agriculture, with potential applications in improving crop yield and quality. © 2025 IEEE.

An effective compressed image authentication scheme based on N-variant AMBTC

Image authentication is one technique that provides integrity protection for digital images, making them sensitive to any slight modification. Recently, the detectability of absolute moment block truncation coding (AMBTC) compressed images has been attracting more attention due to its integrity authentication concerns. Thus, this paper proposes an effective N-variant AMBTC based image authentication scheme for AMBTC compressed images. First, a novel AMBTC compression code is derived using a variant AMBTC technique that can provide a better quality of compressed images. Then, each AMBTC compression code is further eliminated into a version requiring fewer bits using the proposed N-variant AMBTC technique, and those vacated N-bits are used to conceal authentication codes, which is generated by hashing the AMBTC compression code and location information. Experimental results confirm that the proposed scheme has superior stability and accuracy in tampering detection while providing better visual quality of the watermarked image. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature.
