Analysis and reaction to natural disasters have made extensive use of deep learning methods using semantic segmentation networks. These implementations’ foundation is based on convolutional neural networks (CNNs), which are capable of precisely identifying and locating the relevant areas of interest within satellite imagery or other types of remote sensing data. This helps with rescue planning, restoration efforts, and disaster evaluation. Difficulties in the provision of healthcare services, due to natural disasters, are made worse by the existing problems prevalent in most healthcare systems. The aim of this research is to propose a novel technique in climate change–based disaster management with their public healthcare analysis using cloud computing with deep learning techniques. In this research, the cloud network has been used in LiDAR image collection for climate change–based disaster-struck regions and their public healthcare analysis. This collected image has been classified and optimized using a deep Markov Q-transfer adversarial neural network with binary grey whale swarm optimization. Experimental analysis has been carried out for various disaster management–based public healthcare datasets in terms of classification accuracy, specificity, NSE, sensitivity, and F-1 score. The proposed technique attained a classification accuracy of 97%, F-1 score of 94%, specificity of 96%, sensitivity of 95%, and NSE of 57%. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

The most popular method for identifying people from past signatures is through signatures. By using a TensorFlow model which is a deep learning algorithm, we created a new system to verify signatures on bank checks and other important documents. The main point is that a signature plays a crucial role in banking because it is necessary for money withdrawals. In banks there are no efficient systems to check if a signature is real or fake as it is the most frequently used bio-metric method to verify a person's identity. This can lead to bank fraud. The Project will make it easier to tell whether a signature is genuine or not. Online and offline verification are the two methods of verification. We're going to use various geometric measurements to accomplish offline verification. Python libraries were employed in this case. In the testing phase the model's performance is evaluated. To protect the integrity and legitimacy of handwritten signatures, signature forgery detection is an essential responsi-bility. The capacity to recognize forged signatures with accuracy has grown more important as a result of the rise in digital transactions and the growing reliance on electronic documents. The act of duplicating or copying another person's signature with the purpose to deceive or gain illegal access is known as signature forging. Manually spotting these forgeries can be difficult because expert forgers are adept at closely imitating the visual style and traits of real signatures. Therefore, there has been a lot of interest in the development of automated methods and algorithms to identify fake signatures. © 2024 IEEE.

This article presents an in-depth exploration of the acoustofluidic capabilities of guided flexural waves(GFWs)generated by a membrane acoustic waveguide actuator(MAWA).By harnessing the potential of GFWs,cavity-agnostic advanced particle manipulation functions are achieved,unlocking new avenues for microfluidic systems and lab-on-a-chip *** localized acoustofluidic effects of GFWs arising from the evanescent nature of the acoustic fields they induce inside a liquid medium are numerically investigated to highlight their unique and promising *** traditional acoustofluidic technologies,the GFWs propagating on the MAWA’s membrane waveguide allow for cavity-agnostic particle manipulation,irrespective of the resonant properties of the fluidic ***,the acoustofluidic functions enabled by the device depend on the flexural mode populating the active region of the membrane *** demonstrations using two types of particles include in-sessile-droplet particle transport,mixing,and spatial separation based on particle diameter,along with streaming-induced counter-flow virtual channel generation in microfluidic PDMS *** experiments emphasize the versatility and potential applications of the MAWA as a microfluidic platform targeted at lab-on-a-chip development and showcase the MAWA’s compatibility with existing microfluidic systems.

A comparative analysis for deep-learning-based approaches for image forgery detection

The detection of counterfeit photographs is critical in the digital age because of the widespread development of digital media and its significant impact on social networks. The legitimacy of digital content is being threatened by the growing sophistication of picture counterfeiting. With the help of pre-trained VGG-16 models and deep learning techniques that integrate Error Level Analysis (ELA) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), this study presents a fresh solution to this problem. The study thoroughly assesses and contrasts these models with a dataset that has been carefully chosen to bring the presented findings into perspective. To ensure a reliable evaluation of each model's performance 5000 experiments were carried out in total. With an accuracy rate of 99.87% and an accurate identification rate of 99% of hidden forgeries, the results demonstrate the exceptional effectiveness of the ELA-CNN model. However, despite its robustness, the VGG-16 model only achieves a significantly lower accuracy rate of 97.93% and a validation rate of 75.87%. This study clarifies the relevance of deep learning in the identification of image forgeries and highlights the practical ramifications of various models. Moreover, the research recognizes its constraints, especially for highly advanced counterfeits, and proposes possible paths for enhancing the accuracy and scope of detection algorithms. In the ever-changing world of digital media, the thorough comparative analysis provided in this study offers insightful information that can direct the creation of accurate forgery detection tools, protecting digital content integrity and reducing the effects of image manipulation. © (2023), (Society of Sytematic Innovation). Model-based framework for exploiting sensors of IoT devices using a botnet: a case study with android

Botnets have become a severe security threat not only to the Internet but also to the devices connected to it. Factors like the exponential growth of IoT, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the ever-larger number of cybercriminals are incentivising the growth of botnets in this domain. The recent outbreak of botnets like Dark Nexus (derived from Qbot and Mirai), Mukashi, LeetHozer, Hoaxcalls, etc. shows the alarming rate at which this threat is converging. The botnets have attributes that make them an excellent platform for malicious activities in IoT devices used by organisations to safeguard the personal and confidential data of their customers, employees, and business partners. The IoT devices have built-in sensors or actuators that can be exploited to monitor or control the physical environment of the entities connected to them, thereby violating the fundamental concept of privacy-by-design of these devices. In this paper, we design and describe a modular botnet framework for IoT. The framework uses an enhanced centralised architecture associated with a novel ‘Domain Fluxing Technique’. The proposed framework will provide insights into how privacy in IoT devices can be incorporated at design time to check the sensors and actuators in these devices against malicious exploitation, consequently preserving privacy. © 2024 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

Image captioning is an emerging field in machine *** refers to the ability to automatically generate a syntactically and semantically meaningful sentence that describes the content of an *** captioning requires a complex machine learning process as it involves two sub models:a vision sub-model for extracting object features and a language sub-model that use the extracted features to generate meaningful ***-based vision transformers models have a great impact in vision field *** this paper,we studied the effect of using the vision transformers on the image captioning process by evaluating the use of four different vision transformer models for the vision sub-models of the image captioning The first vision transformers used is DINO(self-distillation with no labels).The second is PVT(Pyramid Vision Transformer)which is a vision transformer that is not using convolutional *** third is XCIT(cross-Covariance Image Transformer)which changes the operation in self-attention by focusing on feature dimension instead of token *** last one is SWIN(Shifted windows),it is a vision transformer which,unlike the other transformers,uses shifted-window in splitting the *** a deeper evaluation,the four mentioned vision transformers have been tested with their different versions and different configuration,we evaluate the use of DINO model with five different backbones,PVT with two versions:PVT_v1and PVT_v2,one model of XCIT,SWIN *** results show the high effectiveness of using SWIN-transformer within the proposed image captioning model with regard to the other models.

The digitization of healthcare data coupled with advances in computational capabilities has propelled the adoption of machine learning (ML) in healthcare. However, these methods can perpetuate or even exacerbate existing disparities, leading to fairness concerns such as the unequal distribution of resources and diagnostic inaccuracies among different demographic groups. Addressing these fairness problems is paramount to prevent further entrenchment of social injustices. In this survey, we analyze the intersection of fairness in ML and healthcare disparities. We adopt a framework based on the principles of distributive justice to categorize fairness concerns into two distinct classes: equal allocation and equal performance. We provide a critical review of the associated fairness metrics from a ML standpoint and examine biases and mitigation strategies across the stages of the ML lifecycle, discussing the relationship between biases and their countermeasures. The article concludes with a discussion on the pressing challenges that remain unaddressed in ensuring fairness in healthcare ML and proposes several new research directions that hold promise for developing ethical and equitable ML applications in healthcare. © 2024 IEEE.

In the recent past, cancer is designated as the life threatening disease causing significant deaths across the globe. Countries are putting efforts for early stage cancer detection, and mortality prediction. Machine Learning (ML) models are proven to efficiently find the correlation among the features for robust predictions over statistical approaches. In this paper, we used kaggle dataset that includes 569 cancer cells and around 30 features cancer cells' classification. The proposed study employs ML models (e.g., binary classifiers) for effective predictive analytics. The evaluation results indicate that Random Forest achieves better results with Area Under Curve (AUC) of 0.99 followed by Decision tree with AUC be 0.92. However, the Logistic Regression (LR) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) fails to capture the generalized behavior of the cancer data for predictive analysis. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent times, blockchain has evolved the security of traditional supply chain systems. Different issues of supply chain management like flexibility and reliability can be easily addressed using blockchain. Meat Packing Industry involves the complete process of processing, packaging and supplying the meat and its products throughout the world for human consumption. The animals used for the meat supply chain include pigs, sheep, cattle etc. Due to the enormous increase in the number of meat-eaters worldwide, its packing and timely supply are of utmost importance. The meat packing industry has revolutionized a lot by using the latest supply chain methods based on new technologies like blockchain. These include adulteration, long-term delays leading to spoilage of the product, mixing of other similar products which are lower in price etc. All these issues can be easily handled by using blockchain and IoT for meat supply chain management. Using these technologies, the challenges ranging from timely transportation of good quality meat to the best quality meat delivered to the customer can be easily addressed. In this paper, an effective blockchain and IoT-based model has been proposed which will counter the above challenges and improve the reliability and security factor. © 2024 IEEE.
