Our paper investigates one-dimensional Schrödinger operators defined as closed operators on L2(R) or L2(+) that are exactly solvable in terms of confluent functions (or, equivalently, Whittaker functions). We allow the potentials to be complex. They fall into three families: Whittaker operators (or radial Coulomb Hamiltonians), Schrödinger operators with Morse potentials and isotonic oscillators. For each of them, we discuss the corresponding basic holomorphic family of closed operators and the integral kernel of their resolvents. We also describe transmutation identities that relate these resolvents. These identities interchange spectral parameters with coupling constants across different operator families. A similar analysis is performed for one-dimensional Schrödinger operators solvable in terms of Bessel functions (which are reducible to special cases of Whittaker functions). They fall into two families: Bessel operators and Schrödinger operators with exponential potentials. To make our presentation self-contained, we include a short summary of the theory of closed one-dimensional Schrödinger operators with singular boundary conditions. Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) is a lifethreatening disorder. The prediction of mortality in PAH patients can play a crucial role in the clinical management of this disease. The prediction of mortality from one modality is a difficult task that may only provide limited performance. Therefore, we propose a multimodal learning approach in this work to predict one-year mortality in PAH patients. We have utilised three modalities, which include extracted numerical imaging features, echo report categorical features, and echo report text features from Electronic Health Records (EHRs) of patients. We have proposed a feature integration module to combine features from multiple modalities. The text features have been extracted from the echo reports using the Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT). An attention mechanism and a weighted summation method are also adopted during the process of feature integration. We have performed different experiments to evaluate the performance of the proposed framework for mortality prediction. The experimental results indicate that we can achieve the best AUC score of 0.89 for predicting one-year mortality by combining all three modalities. The College of Engineering & Applied science at the University of Colorado Boulder proposes a low-cost, online, accredited Bachelor of science in Engineering (BSE) degree. The BSE will provide a pathway for community college (CC) students, or students with similar transfer credits, to complete a degree in engineering at a cost similar to attending CC. The educationally underserved communities across Colorado are often low-income, racially and ethnically diverse, and rural;the BSE's primary goal is to provide access to an engineering education for these students and, thus, open pathways to high-demand, high-wage careers. The BSE will reach an underserved population of learners who can stay in their local community while simultaneously pursuing an engineering education. A fully online, ABET-accredited engineering degree is surprisingly novel-only nine other online engineering degrees in the nation are accredited-but an R1-level university degree at a near-community-college cost is unprecedented. The BSE will invite the institution's best instructors to innovate in online education-virtual labs, team-based projects, flipped asynchronous discussions, and hybrid-learning activities. Student success support will include wrap-around advising to foster the development of the academic, affective, financial, and career support that students need to succeed in engineering. The BSE will utilize five administrative affordances: 1) success coaches to provide wrap-around support and guidance to students;2) course facilitators who provide personalized support;3) stackable credentials;4) eight-week semesters, allowing students to quickly complete portions of their education;and 5) mentorship programming to foster community and to help students develop their (inter)disciplinary identity. The online BSE creates a new pathway for underserved students to matriculate to a flagship public research university for a degree in engineering. 2M-NER: Contrastive Learning for Multilingual and Multimodal NER with Language and Modal Fusion

Named entity recognition (NER) is a fundamental task in natural language processing that involves identifying and classifying entities in sentences into pre-defined types. It plays a crucial role in various research fields, including entity linking, question answering, and online product recommendation. Recent studies have shown that incorporating multilingual and multimodal datasets can enhance the effectiveness of NER. This is due to language transfer learning and the presence of shared implicit features across different modalities. However, the lack of a dataset that combines multilingualism and multimodality has hindered research exploring the combination of these two aspects, as multimodality can help NER in multiple languages simultaneously. In this paper, we aim to address a more challenging task: multilingual and multimodal named entity recognition (MMNER), considering its potential value and influence. Specifically, we construct a large-scale MMNER dataset with four languages (English, French, German and Spanish) and two modalities (text and image). To tackle this challenging MMNER task on the dataset, we introduce a new model called 2M-NER, which aligns the text and image representations using contrastive learning and integrates a multimodal collaboration module to effectively depict the interactions between the two modalities. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our model achieves the highest F1 score in multilingual and multimodal NER tasks compared to some comparative and representative baselines. Additionally, in a challenging analysis, we discovered that sentence-level alignment interferes a lot with NER models, indicating the higher level of difficulty in our dataset. Group decision-making is a daily process where a group of experts has to choose from a set of alternatives. To help this group of experts, methods were developed that allowed them to recommend an alternative or a group of alternatives from the information generated by the experts, these methods were called Group Decision-Making methods. Nonetheless, some Group Decision-Making methods have some problems, such as evaluating alternatives in a general way. This problem leads to a loss of information because it is not possible to evaluate each alternative in detail and it may be the case that one alternative is better than another on one criterion but not on another. Another problem is that experts have priority for each criterion and for one expert one criterion may be more important than another and vice versa. To solve these two problems, in this novel method, we propose a consensual multi-criteria Group Decision-Making system, where experts can customise the order of the criteria. With the order of each expert, the method creates an aggregation operator for each criterion. Moreover, this method performs a consensus analysis for each criterion, so that there is a minimum consensus on each criterion. In this way, a solution is obtained that allows the set of alternatives to be evaluated in a detailed way and each criterion has the correct importance because the experts are the ones who create the order of importance.

Within this article, a method of symmetric encryption of information based on a hierarchical residue number system has been developed. The corresponding mathematical and algorithmic framework is presented. The proposed approach simplifies hardware implementation and enhances operational speed by reducing modulus sizes and consequently numerical operands at each subsequent level, as well as by parallelizing computational processes. Utilizing this encryption method enables the creation of reliable, efficient, and resistant-to-cryptanalysis systems for protecting information streams. A encryption/decryption scheme and an application example of the method are provided.

The computer organization and architecture is one of the basic compulsory courses for computer students. In addition, the curriculum ideological and political website is an important carrier of curriculum ideological and political, which is of great significance. This paper studies the ideological and political website of the computer Organization and Architecture based on frontend-backend separation written in Java under the framework of micro-services. First, we analyze the structure of the micro server and design a reasonable website with the micro server as the framework. Then we use the knowledge of software engineering to apply the thought and process of software design to the design and development of the course ideological and political website, and analyze the data process and structure design of the system. Finally, the developed website system is tested, and the results show that the system has good stability and compatibility. © 2021 IEEE.
