The brain projectsrequire the collectionof massiveelectrophysiologicaldata,aiming to the longitudinal, sectional,or populational neuroscience *** metrics automatically label the data after centralizedpreprocessing. However, although thewaveforms-basedmetricsarepartially useful, theymay be unreliable by neglecting the spectral profiles. Here, we detected the phenomenon of parallel log spectra(PaLOS)that thescalp EEG power in the log scale were parallel to each otherfrom 10% of 2549 HBNEEG. This phenomenon was reproduced in 8% of 412 PMDT EEG from 4 databases. We designed the PaLOSindex (PaLOSi) to indicate this phenomenon by decomposing the cross-spectraatdifferent frequenciesinto the common principal component spaces. We found that the PaLOS biophysically implied a prominently dominant dipolein the source spacewhich wasimplausible for the resting EEG. And it may be practically resulted from *** with the 1966 normative EEG cross-spectra, theHBN and the PMDT EEG with PaLOS presented generally much higherelectrode pairwise coherences and highersimilarity of coherence-based network patterns, which went against the known frequency dependent characteristic of coherence networks. We consider a dynamic continuous gas production at a deposit. We set and solve the optimization control problem for maximum profit, taking into account the discount factor. The problem posed relates to some optimal control problems with a mixed constraint with a fixed time and an unbounded right endpoint. 5G communication systems provide an end-to-end wireless connection to billions of users and devices across the globe. The quality of signals received during radio communication is notably influenced by the behavior of the radio propagation channel. A major parameter used in characterizing this channel is the Path Loss Exponent (PLE). Several works that have estimated and analyzed the PLE mostly considered the effect of distance and carrier frequency. However, the effect of base station antenna height and channel bandwidth on the PLE for 5G networks have not been adequately considered. To address this, the impact of antenna height of base station and channel bandwidth on the PLE within the 5G Frequency Range 1 (FR1) frequencies was investigated in this study, specifically at 800, 3500, and 5900 MHz. The licensed EDX Signal Pro software® with Cirrus high resolution global terrain and clutter data base was utilized to model, simulate and analyze the PLE for Kano City, Nigeria. Results showed that for the tested frequencies, an increase in either base station height or channel bandwidth leads to a significant reduction in the PLE. This study can be utilized by network planning engineers and the wireless research community to further improve network implementation and optimization toward understanding the behavior of signal propagation in 5G networks and beyond. © 2023 IEEE.

Understanding students' computer science learning conception and learning approach is essential for improving their learning experience and performance. By applying qualitative content analysis, machine learning techniques and a descriptive approach, this study explores the associations between demographic characteristics, computer science learning approaches, and conceptions among undergraduate students. The findings of this study reveal associations between students' learning approaches and demographic factors such as grades, gender, and parents' education. Moreover, the study highlights discrepancies between students' learning approaches and their motivation and strategy for learning.

Note on the Margolus-Levitin quantum speed limit for arbitrary fidelity

For vanishing fidelity between initial and final states two important quantum speed limits, the Mandelstam-Tamm limit (involving energy dispersion) and Margolus-Levitin one (involving excitation energy expectation value) have been derived. While the generalization of the former limit to the case of arbitrary fidelity is straightforward, the relevant generalization of the latter, given in the seminal paper by Giovanetti et al (Phys. Rev. A67 (2003), 052109) was based on the conjectured equality of lower and upper bounds on the right hand side of generalized Margolus-Levitin inequality, verified numerically up to seven digits. Only recently there appear two proofs of the conjecture. We provide below a very elementary new proof, based on the simplest tools from differential calculus. Thus the generalized Margolus-Levitin speed limit can be derived much in the spirit of the original one valid for vanishing fidelity. © 2023, CC BY.

This study presents a comprehensive benchmarking analysis of cryptographic protocols for Internet of Things (IoT) malware defense. The framework was specifically tailored to evaluate cryptographic protocols such as AES-128, AES-256, ChaCha20, RSA (1024-bit, 2048-bit, and 4096-bit), SHA256, SHA512, and HMAC-SHA256 were tested in both standalone and emulated environments. The primary objective was to evaluate the performance and resource consumption of these protocols, focusing on their encryption and hashing efficiency. Key innovations include the comparative analysis of resource consumption and performance efficiency across diverse cryptographic operations, under both real-world and emulated conditions. By identifying protocols like ChaCha20 for high efficiency and minimal resource usage, and RSA 4096-bit for enhanced security at higher computational costs, this study provides actionable insights into the trade-offs between security and performance. These findings offer a foundational reference for selecting optimized cryptographic protocols, advancing IoT malware defense strategies through informed decision-making.

Purpose: Software modelling and Model-Driven Engineering (MDE) is traditionally studied from a technical perspective. However, one of the core motivations behind the use of software models is inherently human-centred. Models aim to enable practitioners to communicate about software designs, make software understandable, or make software easier to write through domain-specific modelling languages. Several recent studies challenge the idea that these aims can always be reached and indicate that human factors play a role in the success of MDE. However, there is an under-representation of research focusing on human factors in modelling. methods: During a GI-Dagstuhl seminar, topics related to human factors in modelling were discussed by 26 expert participants from research and industry. Results: In breakout groups, five topics were covered in depth, namely modelling human aspects, factors of modeller experience, diversity and inclusion in MDE, collaboration and MDE, and teaching human-aware MDE. Conclusion: We summarise our insights gained during the discussions on the five topics. We formulate research goals, questions, and propositions that support directing future initiatives towards an MDE community that is aware of and supportive of human factors and values. © 2024, CC BY.

Working with different data depending on the appearance and content of the object. Formation of types of objects and content of processes within the framework of human activity. Based on this, the control mechanism is also different. Management effects in the learning system are understood as the transfer of knowledge in the subject area to the student using the methods and tools formed by the teacher in the educational environment, taking into account all the factors generated in this process. The control system in this view is a simple system with a nonlinear feedback section. It combines complexes consisting of technical, software, telecommunications and methodological tools used in the educational process. They can be used to form alternative solutions not only by delivering parts of the training materials, but also by collecting and processing the information needed to manage the learning process. The training method is chosen according to the requirements of the learning environment and depends on the topic. If the chosen method is accepted, the training part is provided, which is fixed (question-answer or in another form), which makes it possible to work independently. © 2021 IEEE.

Young children spend substantial portions of their waking hours in noisy preschool classrooms. In these environments, children's vocal interactions with teachers are critical contributors to their language outcomes, but manually transcribing these interactions is prohibitive. Using audio from child- and teacher-worn recorders, we propose an automated framework that uses open source software both to classify speakers (ALICE) and to transcribe their utterances (Whisper). We compare results from our framework to those from a human expert for 110 minutes of classroom recordings, including 85 minutes from child-word microphones ( $\mathrm{n}=4$ children) and 25 minutes from teacher-worn microphones ( $\mathrm{n}=2$ teachers). The overall proportion of agreement, that is, the proportion of correctly classified teacher and child utterances, was. 76, with an error-corrected kappa of. 50 and a weighted F1 of. 76. The word error rate for both teacher and child transcriptions was. 15, meaning that 15% of words would need to be deleted, added, or changed to equate the Whisper and expert transcriptions. Moreover, speech features such as the mean length of utterances in words, the proportion of teacher and child utterances that were questions, and the proportion of utterances that were responded to within 2.5 seconds were similar when calculated separately from expert and automated transcriptions. The results suggest substantial progress in analyzing classroom speech that may support children's language development. Future research using natural language processing is under way to improve speaker classification and to analyze results from the application of the automated framework to a larger dataset containing classroom recordings from 13 children and 3 teachers observed on 17 occasions over one year.
