The use of the Hilbert transform for the analysis of periodically non-stationary random signals (PNRSs), whose carrier harmonics are modulated by jointly stationary high-frequency random processes is discussed. A representation of the signal in the form of a superposition of high-frequency components is obtained and it is shown that these components are jointly periodically non-stationary random processes. The properties of the band-pass filtered signals are examined, and it is shown that band-pass filtering can reduce both the number of signal variance cyclic harmonics and their amplitudes. We show that it is possible to extract the quadratures of narrow-band high-frequency modulation processes using the Hilbert transform.

Modeling Multiple Views via Implicitly Preserving Global Consistency and Local Complementarity

While self-supervised learning techniques are often used to mine hidden knowledge from unlabeled data via modeling multiple views, it is unclear how to perform effective representation learning in a complex and inconsistent context. To this end, we propose a new multi-view self-supervised learning method, namely consistency and complementarity network (CoCoNet), to comprehensively learn global inter-view consistent and local cross-view complementarity-preserving representations from multiple views. To capture crucial common knowledge which is implicitly shared among views, CoCoNet employs a global consistency module that aligns the probabilistic distribution of views by utilizing an efficient discrepancy metric based on the generalized sliced Wasserstein distance. To incorporate cross-view complementary information, CoCoNet proposes a heuristic complementarity-aware contrastive learning approach, which extracts a complementarity-factor jointing cross-view discriminative knowledge and uses it as the contrast to guide the learning of view-specific encoders. Theoretically, the superiority of CoCoNet is verified by our information-theoretical-based analyses. Empirically, our thorough experimental results show that CoCoNet outperforms the state-of-the-art self-supervised methods by a significant margin, for instance, CoCoNet beats the best benchmark method by an average margin of 1.1% on ImageNet. A fast algorithm on generating concept lattice for symmetry formal context constructed from social networks

Formal concept analysis has been witnessed to be an effective soft computing methodology for data analysis, rule extraction and clustering, but how to build a formal concept lattice efficiently is always a challenge issue. Recent years, several deformation formal contexts are emerging for addressing current important research problems, such as virtual machines scheduling in mobile cloud computing and topological structure analysis in social networks. In this paper, we focus on the symmetry formal context where the objects and attributes are identical, and its formal concept lattice construction. Firstly, we explore the properties of symmetry formal context and discover a symmetry line which must appear in the expected formal concept lattice. Further, a fast algorithm for building concept lattice for symmetry formal context is presented. Then, five social network datasets are utilized for evaluating our proposed algorithm. Experimental results show that our algorithm can speed up 1.2 times and 3.45 times compared to the concept-matrix based concepts generation algorithm and incremental algorithm, respectively. © 2019, Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature.

Satellite radar interferometry (InSAR) enables large-scale monitoring of displacement with precision akin to ground-based methods. Using measurements from Sentinel-1 satellites, persistent scatterer networks cover areas up to hundreds of kilometers in size. One of the current challenges for the InSAR community is to tie these networks into a current and country-specific global terrestrial reference system through collocation with other geodetic techniques, especially Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS). In this work, an optimal procedure for assessing a suitable collocation properties for InSAR and GNSS techniques is discussed, along with the proposal for the methodology to determine the spatial relationship between the reference points of both techniques. The study analyzes three collocation stations in Slovakia using their radar backscattering characteristics. InSAR achieves an intrinsic accuracy of up to 1 mm but has uncertainties several orders of magnitude larger in 3D space. A collocation of InSAR measurements with GNSS can tie relative InSAR displacement estimates to an absolute reference frame. © 2024 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier B.V.

Multi-species BGK models describe the dynamics of rarefied gases with constituent particles of different elements or compounds with potentially non-trivial velocity distributions. In this paper, moment equations for the bulk velocities, energies, and temperatures of a spatially homogeneous multi-species BGK model are examined. A key challenge in analyzing these equations is the fact that the collision frequencies are allowed to depend on the species temperatures, which allows for more realistic simulations of dilute gas flow. Therefore, a positive lower bound is established for the species temperatures. With this lower bound, a global existence and uniqueness of solutions to the coupled velocity-energy ODE system is established. The lower bound also enables a proof of exponential decay to a unique steady-state solution. The diverse relationships among real-world events, including coreference, temporal, causal, and subevent relations, are fundamental to understanding natural languages. However, two drawbacks of existing datasets limit event relation extraction (ERE) tasks: (1) Small scale. Due to the annotation complexity, the data scale of existing datasets is limited, which cannot well train and evaluate data-hungry models. (2) Absence of unified annotation. Different types of event relations naturally interact with each other, but existing datasets only cover limited relation types at once, which prevents models from taking full advantage of relation interactions. To address these issues, we construct a unified large-scale human-annotated ERE dataset MAVEN-ERE with improved annotation schemes. It contains 103, 193 event coreference chains, 1, 216, 217 temporal relations, 57, 992 causal relations, and 15, 841 subevent relations, which is larger than existing datasets of all the ERE tasks by at least an order of magnitude. Experiments show that ERE on MAVEN-ERE is quite challenging, and considering relation interactions with joint learning can improve performances. Convolutional neural networks trained using supervised learning can improve visual perception for human-robot walking. These advances have been possible due to largescale datasets like ExoNet and StairNet - the largest open-source image datasets of real-world walking environments. However, these datasets require vast amounts of manually annotated data, the development of which is time consuming and labor intensive. Here we present a novel semi-supervised learning system (ExoNet-SSL) that uses over 1.2 million unlabelled images from ExoNet to improve training efficiency. We developed a deep learning model based on mobile vision transformers and trained the model using semi-supervised learning for image classification. Compared to standard supervised learning (98.4%), our ExoNet-SSL system was able to maintain high prediction accuracy (98.8%) when tested on previously unseen environments, while requiring 35% fewer labelled images during training. These results show that semi-supervised learning can improve training efficiency by leveraging large amounts of unlabelled data and minimize the size requirements for manually annotated images. Future research $\text{will}$ focus on model deployment for onboard real-time inference and control of human-robot walking.

Some aspects of the functioning of modern microcontrollers of the Internet of Things in conditions that are close to real-time systems are reviewed in the article. Attention is paid to the aspects of the theory of physical data transmission, the significance of the delay metrics in the data transmission path is substantiated and emphasized. These delays (in view of the generalization of measurement results) determine the control accuracy and controllability of the data processing system as a whole, and also affect the reliability of the results. The process of formalization of the architectural template of a data collecting and accounting system for a control device (which is widespread in intelligent transport systems and the Internet of things) is described. The practical application of the approach in synchronous control through the implementation of a web interface and a control language in a microprocessor system (which can be possible at low traffic transmission rates) is substantiated. In conclusion, a generalization of the scope of application of the developed specialized computer system in transport field is given. © 2021 Institute of Physics Publishing. All rights reserved.

The image CropTool allows users to crop images present on Wikimedia Commons without leaving the Wikimedia family of sites within a web environment. We implemented the same workflow for videos with the VideoCutTool. Previously, a video on Wikimedia Commons had to be downloaded, changed, and later re-uploaded to Commons. The previous process took a significant amount of time and requires the use of outside software, while the VideoCutTool allows authorized users to work up-to 10x faster. This paper talks about the features of VideoCutTool and its implementation. The tool is currently live on https://***/video-cut-tool/ and published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence.
