As sports video collections continue to expand at a rapid pace, there is a need for advanced classification methods that can accurately and efficiently categorize and manage the massive amount of content available. These methods must be able to dynamically adapt to changes in the collection, ensuring that the videos are properly organized and easily searchable for users. Traditional classification methods are not able to keep up with the rapid growth and complexity of sports video collections, leading to incomplete classification and impacting search and retrieval processes. This paper addresses this challenge using the UCF sports dataset and proposes a Visual Geometry Group-19 (VGG-19) based CNN classifier and Equiangular Basis Vector (EBV) representation introduced for efficient classification and category representation. Furthermore, a 3D Convolutional Neural Network (3D-CNN) architecture extracts both spatial and temporal features from videos for accurate action classification. The Adam optimizer in the optimization algorithm is employed to optimize the learning process. This paper shows that the proposed 3D-CNN model outperforms existing methods a Hybrid Convolutional Neural Network with a Bidirectional Recurrent Neural Network (HCNN-BiRNN) model, Deformable Convolution Networks (DCN), 2D-Convolutional Neural Network (2D-CNN), Convolutional Neural Network - Long Short-Term Frequency (CNN-LSTM) in terms of accuracy (99.45%), precision (98.00%), sensitivity (96.98%), and F1-score (97.05%).

Snapshot boosting: a fast ensemble framework for deep neural networks

Boosting has been proven to be effective in improving the generalization of machine learning models in many fields. It is capable of getting high-diversity base learners and getting an accurate ensemble model by combining a sufficient number of weak learners. However, it is rarely used in deep learning due to the high training budget of the neural network. Another method named snapshot ensemble can significantly reduce the training budget, but it is hard to balance the tradeoff between training costs and diversity. Inspired by the ideas of snapshot ensemble and boosting, we propose a method named snapshot boosting. A series of operations are performed to get many base models with high diversity and accuracy, such as the use of the validation set, the boosting-based training framework, and the effective ensemble strategy. Last, we evaluate our method on the computer vision(CV) and the natural language processing(NLP) tasks, and the results show that snapshot boosting can get a more balanced trade-off between training expenses and ensemble accuracy than other well-known ensemble methods.

The creation of a safety system that is based on GPS and is developed exclusively for the health and safety of women via the incorporation of novel elements in order to meet the rising concerns about crimes committed against women. The gadget is capable of contacting authorities, conveying the user’s position via SMS, and generating a loud noise to attract attention. It may be triggered in anticipation of potential danger and can be activated in the event that danger is imminent. In order to guarantee that only authorized users are able to activate the device, the system makes use of fingerprint recognition in a very unique way. Using technologies such as global positioning system (GPS), global system for mobile communications (GSM), and microcontrollers, this study makes a contribution to the continuing efforts to improve the safety of women via technological innovation. It provides a proactive approach to prevent violence against women and save lives. The research emphasizes the significance of combining hardware and software in order to provide a complete safety tool. One of the primary structural materials in the development business is concrete. Compressive strength is the most frequently utilized metric when assessing the strength and nature of cement. This paper clarifies how to make use of technical regression (RT) methodology to decide the legitimate dose of the concrete mixture. Water, Cement, Fly Ash, Blast Furnace, Superplasticizer, Coarse, and Fine Aggregate, were used as input parameters, on the other hand, compressive strength was used as an output parameter. The produced models were evaluated using statistical parameters: Linear Regression, Decision Tree Regression, and Random Forest Regression. In contrast with other applicable models, it was found that the Gaussian process regression model based on the function of the nucleus of radial bases delivered relatively better results. The recommended models should get a good deal on saving money on materials, labor, and time while also improving accuracy. The proposed concrete should be more durable and accordingly more cost-effective.

Traffic prediction is of vital importance in intelligent transportation systems. It can realize efficient route planning, avoid traffic congestion and reduce travel time, etc. However, it is difficult to make accurate road traffic prediction, due to the complex spatiotemporal dependencies of the traffic network. The construction and learning of spatial dependencies play a pivotal role in road traffic prediction, laying the foundation for accurate traffic prediction. Regrettably, most of the existing methods for capturing spatial dependencies only consider a single spatial relationship, ignoring other potential temporal and spatial correlations in the traffic network. Moreover, the end-to-end training methods are difficult to control the training direction during graph learning. Additionally, the result of traffic forecasting lacks of fusing multiple traffic data information. All of these have adverse effects on road traffic prediction. In other to capture the spatiotemporal dependencies of the traffic network accurately, a novel traffic prediction framework, Adaptive Spatio-Temporal Graph Neural Network based on Multi-graph Fusion (DTS-adapSTNet), is proposed. First of all, in order to better extract the hidden spatial dependencies, a method of fusing multiple factors is designed, which includs the distance relationship, transfer relationship and same-road segment relationship of traffic data, etc. Secondly, an adaptive learning method is proposed, which can control the learning direction of parameters better by the adaptive matrix generation module and traffic prediction module. Thirdly, an improved loss function is designed for training processes and a multi-matrix fusion module is designed to perform weighted fusion of the learned matrices, updating the spatial adjacency matrix continuously, which fuses as much traffic information as possible for more accurate traffic prediction. This paper proposes a framework integrating Rate Splitting Multiple Access (RSMA), semantic communications, and generative AI for optimizing next-generation wireless networks. We present a unified model that combines RSMA with semantic communications to enhance both spectral efficiency and semantic fidelity. Our system model focuses on a downlink semantic communication system with a multi-antenna base station serving multiple single-antenna users. A dynamic contract-based incentive mechanism is developed to address user heterogeneity and information asymmetry in semantic RSMA scenarios. We introduce a diffusion model-based approach for joint optimization of resource allocation and contract design in RSMA systems. The semantic encoding process extracts key information, i.e., free-space detection, interest points, object attributes, and spatial relationships, from image data. A loss function is designed to train the semantic encoder and RSMA scheme, incorporating semantic extraction, partitioning, reconstruction, and task specific components. Our framework includes a multi-objective performance evaluation that considers both conventional metrics and semantic accuracy in a multi-user RSMA environment. We also define a multi-component semantic accuracy metric to assess the quality and utility of the extracted semantic information. Extensive simulation results demonstrate the superiority of our proposed framework over existing approaches in terms of system throughput, energy efficiency, and semantic fidelity across various network scenarios and user distributions. © 2015 IEEE.

The article shows the history of the development of badges as an image accessory designed to represent and/or identify people at a service checkpoint, in a conference or other mass event related to a meeting and contacts of people. This story covers: simple badge cards with printed information about a person, electronic badges with scrolling text, badges with controlled display of QR codes and graphic portraits of people who carry these badges, smart identification and contact control badges. At the same time, it is noted that the latest ideas in the development of badges support the technical side of the creation of 'Electronic Citizen' and, while not entirely perfect, are focused on more local use. Phishing is a cyber threat where attackers create deceptive websites or emails to exploit individuals for fraudulent purposes such as providing sensitive information like usernames, passwords, or financial details. Hence, detecting phishing emails is of paramount importance to protect sensitive information, preventing financial losses, protecting against identity theft, and maintaining trust. This study employs machine learning techniques to classify and categorize websites that are used for phishing attacks. To achieve this, we proposed a classification model for the detection of phishing domains based on classification rules. These rules were formulated based on analyzing and distributing them into three classifiers: domain name features, search engine opinion (SEO) information of the domain, and security scans by security vendors. A total of eleven classification rules were formulated which were distributed as follows: six rules for the first classifier, four rules for the second classifier, and one rule for the third classifier. Each classifier feeds its results to the main classifier, which then evaluates the received results based on its rules. Domain names from 222 confirmed phishing URLs were used to test the suggested model. The model demonstrated exceptional performance, achieving an impressive accuracy rate of 99.1% during testing. © 2023 IEEE.

Pest attacks pose a serious threat to the production of jute and other significant crops. Jute farmers often utilize their visual sense and hands-on expertise to distinguish between multiple diseases that seem to be identical. The intelligent model we built for the identification of jute pests was based on a deep convolutional neural network (DCNN). This practical difficulty led to the development of this concept. The proposed DCNN model can automatically identify jute pest concerns with high speed and accuracy based on image recognition. In addition, images of the four most common jute bugs are included in an organized image graphics collection. Our model yields a DCNN accuracy is 96.72% for the four most significant jute pest kinds. Further proof of the model's effectiveness is provided by the accuracy, recall, F1-score, and confusion matrix metrics.
