Content authentication,integrity verification,and tampering detection of digital content exchanged via the internet have been used to address a major concern in information and communication *** this paper,a text zero-watermarking approach known as Smart-Fragile Approach based on Soft Computing and Digital Watermarking(SFASCDW)is proposed for content authentication and tampering detection of English text.A first-level order of alphanumeric mechanism,based on hidden Markov model,is integrated with digital zero-watermarking techniques to improve the watermark robustness of the proposed *** researcher uses the first-level order and alphanumeric mechanism of Markov model as a soft computing technique to analyze English ***,he extracts the features of the interrelationship among the contexts of the text,utilizes the extracted features as watermark information,and validates it later with the studied English text to detect any *** has been implemented using PHP with VS code *** robustness,effectiveness,and applicability of SFASCDW are proved with experiments involving four datasets of various lengths in random locations using the three common attacks,namely insertion,reorder,and *** SFASCDW was found to be effective and could be applicable in detecting any possible tampering.

As revenue on online advertisements continues to grow, Cybercriminals are mingling with the technology organisations to publish and run unsolicited adverts. Advertising companies actually have means of maximising visits to the advertiser' website but they have no control on the contents obtained from the ads auctioned to other providers such as yahoo and Facebook. Such contents may contain unauthorised scripts that may be rerouted to malicious sites where malware could be installed or malicious codes executed. This study therefore presents and implements an automated malvertisement detection system (MDS) by employing three common online detection tools or Intrusion Detection systems (IDSs) - Pulsedive, SucuriSiteCheck, and *** - to crawl malicious ads from 450 websites and represent the results on the confusion matrix. The malvertisement system is real and functional but less effective. When performance metrics were applied on the results. None of the IDSs outperformed the others in all the measures, suggesting that a single metrics is insufficient to objectively measure the effectiveness of the IDSs. An improved performance is expected when other set of IDSs is used in combination to build the MDS. © 2023 IEEE.

LoRa technology contributes to green energy by enabling efficient,long-range communication for the Internet of Things(IoT).This paper addresses the challenges related to coverage range in outdoor monitoring systems utilizing LoRa,where the network performance is affected by the density of gateways(GWs)and end devices(EDs),as well as environmental *** mitigate interference,data throughput losses,and high-power consumption,the proposed spreading factor(SF)and hybrid(data rate|SF)models dynamically adjust the transmission *** orchestration of concurrent data modifications within the network server(NS)is crucial for uninterrupted communication between GWs and EDs,especially in monitoring electric vehicle(EV)stations to reduce traffic congestion and *** K-means and density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN)algorithms optimizes ED allocation,averts data congestion,and improves the signal-tointerference noise ratio(SINR).These methods ensure seamless information reception by meticulously allocated EDs across various GW *** estimate the free-space losses(FSL),a log-distance path loss model(log-PL)is *** various bandwidths(BWs),bidirectional communications,and duty cycles(DCs)helps to prevent saturation,thus prolonging the operational lifespan of *** findings reveal a notable packet rejection rate(PRR)of 0%for the DBSCAN(hybrid model).In contrast,the K-means exhibits a PRR ranging from 5%(hybrid model)to 35.29%(SF model)for the ten GWs ***,the network saturation is reduced to 10.185%and 9.503%,respectively,highlighting an improvement in the average efficiency of slotted ALOHA(91.1%)and pure ALOHA(90.7%).These enhancements increase the lifespan of EDs to 15,465.27 days.

5G communications systems offer several types of service groups include enhanced mobile broadband (eMBB), ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC), and massive machine-type communications (mMTC). The ability to meet various mobile communications requirements of different users is ensured by these service groups. In this paper, a novel service type priority decision method is proposed for 5G and beyond (5GB) systems to determine the most needed service group under a specific region. This approach is useful for the resource allocation planning and optimization through a coverage region. The proposed method is based on the machine learning (ML) usage with several ambient information. Instance-based and model-based techniques are compared for ML. Also, the ensemble methods are tested on the generated synthetic dataset. © 2023 IEEE.

Leveraging the integration of visual and proprioceptive cues, research has uncovered various perception thresholds in VR that can be exploited to support haptic feedback for grasping. While previous studies have explored individual dimensions, such as size, the combined effect of multiple geometric properties on perceptual illusions remains poorly understood. We present a two-alternative forced choice study investigating the perceptual interplay between object size and taper angle. We introduce an illusion space model, providing detailed insights into how physical and virtual object configurations affect human perception. Our insights reveal how, for example, as virtual sizes increase, users perceive that taper angles increase, and as virtual angles decrease, users overestimate sizes. We provide a mathematical model of the illusion space, and an associated tool, which can be used as a guide for the design of future VR haptic devices and for proxy object selections. © 2025 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Robust Online Epistemic Replanning of Multi-Robot Missions

As Multi-Robot systems (MRS) become more affordable and computing capabilities grow, they provide significant advantages for complex applications such as environmental monitoring, underwater inspections, or space exploration. However, accounting for potential communication loss or the unavailability of communication infrastructures in these application domains remains an open problem. Much of the applicable MRS research assumes that the system can sustain communication through proximity regulations and formation control or by devising a framework for separating and adhering to a predetermined plan for extended periods of disconnection. The latter technique enables an MRS to be more efficient, but breakdowns and environmental uncertainties can have a domino effect throughout the system, particularly when the mission goal is intricate or time-sensitive. To deal with this problem, our proposed framework has two main phases: i) a centralized planner to allocate mission tasks by rewarding intermittent rendezvous between robots to mitigate the effects of the unforeseen events during mission execution, and ii) a decentralized replanning scheme leveraging epistemic planning to formalize belief propagation and a Monte Carlo tree search for policy optimization given distributed rational belief updates. Wireless Sensor Actuator Networks (WSANs) are sensitive to cyber threats due to present static encryption techniques. Adaptive security methods are required in WSAN settings to reduce evolving dangers and maintain data integrity. The paper introduces a novel method for encrypting WSAN data using AI and machine learning. Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks process data, Genetic Algorithms (GAs) optimize encryption, and Isolation Forests detect threats in real-time. The proposed system achieved remarkable performance, with scores of 98% data integrity, 96% error repair, and 95% threat detection accuracy. Encryption rates reach their max at 200 Mbps, with optimal resource usage (30% CPU, 25% RAM) and a 5% false positive rate. The proposed AI-driven security architecture improves data integrity, encryption speed, and overall security efficacy in WSANs, surpassing existing methods. The paper overcomes the limitations of static encryption methods and proposes a proactive protection mechanism against developing cyber threats, making a substantial contribution to WSAN security improvement. © 2024 IEEE.

With an aging population and an increase in chronic sickness, healthcare systems are under increasing pressure. Internet of Things (IoT) technology has recently garnered a lot of interest for its ability to alleviate this burden. The IoT is a network of interconnected wireless digital devices that can gather, transmit, and store data automatically, without the need for human or computer intervention. In order to better anticipate health problems, diagnose, treat, and monitor patients in and out of the hospital, the IoT offers numerous advantages that could streamline and improve health care delivery. As a matter of urgency, decision-makers and heads of state around the world are enacting policies to provide healthcare services through the use of technology. Thanks to recent advancements in the IoT, healthcare has been able to evolve at a rapid pace. Research on Internet IoT uses in healthcare and newly developed emergency equipment are summarized in this article. © The Author(s) 2024.

In communication restricted environments, a multi-robot system can be deployed to either: i) maintain constant communication but potentially sacrifice operational efficiency due to proximity constraints or ii) allow disconnections to increase environmental coverage efficiency, challenges on how, when, and where to reconnect (rendezvous problem). In this work we tackle the latter problem and notice that most state-of-the-art methods assume that robots will be able to execute a predetermined plan; however system failures and changes in environmental conditions can cause the robots to deviate from the plan with cascading effects across the multi-robot system. This paper proposes a coordinated epistemic prediction and planning framework to achieve consensus without communicating for exploration and coverage, task discovery and completion, and rendezvous applications. Dynamic epistemic logic is the principal component implemented to allow robots to propagate belief states and empathize with other agents. Propagation of belief states and subsequent coverage of the environment is achieved via a frontier-based method within an artificial physics-based framework. The proposed framework is validated with both simulations and experiments with unmanned ground vehicles in various cluttered environments.
