Sentiment analysis is crucial method in business intelligence to extract insights, which typically begin with sentiment classification. One of the latest frameworks for generating sentence embeddings for sentiment classification is LLM2Vec, which allows Transformer decoder-based models to generate sentence embeddings for text representation. Its capability is deemed language-agnostic, which, in this study, the framework is leveraged for Tokopedia tweet sentiment analysis to prove the claim. The base decoder models used in the LLM2Vec framework were Llama 3 8B, Llama 2 7B, Sheared Llama 1.3B, and Mistral 7B. Two BERT-based models, which are the Indonesian SBERT model and IndoBERT trained with the SimCSE approach, were employed as a comparison. The generated embeddings were classified using logistic regression, SVM, and MLP Classifier. Classifiers using embedding generated by LLM2Vec with Llama 3 8B and Mistral 7B achieves on-par performance with classifiers that utilize IndoBERT SimCSE embeddings, while classifiers using embeddings generated by LLM2Vec with Llama 2 7B and Sheared Llama 1.3B achieves much lower performance. Classifiers with Indonesian SBERT embeddings achieve the highest F1 score performance. Despite slightly lower performance, this study has proven the language-agnostic capability of LLM2Vec, especially with Llama 3 8B and Mistral 7B in colloquial Bahasa Indonesia sentiment analysis, since none of the base decoders were ever trained using the Bahasa Indonesia corpus.

The infection of Plasmodium vivax is relatively less virulent than the deathliest Plasmodium falciparum. However, it still can lead to a fatal case and often induces recurring malaria due to dormant parasites in the liver. Thus, the research to study the drug to treat Plasmodium vivax is essential, where the enzyme dihydroorotate dehydrogenase (DHODH) has recently become a new drug target. However, the drug-enzyme interaction study has only recently been conducted in Plasmodium falciparum (pfDHODH) due to the lack of the 3D structure of enzyme DHODH from Plasmodium vivax that is crucial for the study. Therefore, this study aimed to perform the modelling study of Plasmodium vivax DHODH (PvDHODH) to create a 3D structure as a basis for drug-protein interaction study in upcoming studies. Sequence pvDHODH (Accession: SCO68359.1) was used in homology modelling using Modeller 10.2 with the crystal structure of DHODH from DHODH (Accession: 7KZY) as a template. Overall, the model generated from the homology modelling was considered a good model, and the 3D structure was close to the native state according to several parameters, including DOPE score, GA341 score, QMEAN4 value, 3D-1D score, ERRAT2 score, and ProSA score. Ramachandran plot also revealed that almost all amino acids were distributed in the desirable and allowed area (99.1%), and only 0.9% were in generously allowed regions. Superimposition of the model with the template also indicated that the model has an almost similar structure and amino acids positioning, including in the binding pocket and active site. Therefore, the model can be used for downstream analysis in drug-protein interaction studies. Nevertheless, some improvements can still be performed to upgrade the quality of the model by deleting unaligned residues on the C-terminal and realigning the residues at the doubting site.

The need for an early screening and Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) system based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the field of radiology is essential to realize considering the large impact of lung diseases globally. However, developing AI requires a lot of data, which is a challenge because data in the health sector tends to be limited in quantity and has disparities between diagnostic categories (data imbalance). To overcome this issue, DINO ViT models was trained with the publicly available COVID-19 Radiography database in our previous study. The model was subsequently implemented into a web application, with this study focusing on the development of a prototype for the application. The study found this application can be useful for medical personnel and doctors in carrying out early screening and CAD. Meanwhile, it also highlighted the general unfamiliarity with AI applications among medical staff, emphasizing the need for increased education and training on AI's role in healthcare.

In the realm of artificial intelligence, deep rein-forcement learning (RL) agents struggle with generalizability and require substantial computational resources, unlike humans who easily adapt and generalize across tasks. To address these challenges, we introduce Quantum Rainbow, a hybrid algorithm that leverages the neural mechanisms of human decision-making and the efficiency of quantum computing. Quantum Rainbow combines variational quantum circuits with the Rainbow Deep Q-Network (DQN) model to create a novel approach in rein-forcement learning that integrates quantum principles into deep learning paradigms. We evaluate our model using behavioral experiments through the Iowa Gambling Task and 4-Armed Bandit Task. Our investigations reveal a significant relationship between the architecture of quantum circuits and the performance of quantum RL agents. Specifically, using causal discovery methods, we demonstrate the critical role of quantum entanglement in enhancing model performance. These findings not only show promising results but also pave the way for future explorations into optimizing quantum circuit architectures for reinforcement learning applications. This study underscores the potential of quantum-enhanced algorithms to achieve “quantum advantage” by addressing fundamental limitations in conventional deep RL methods.

Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data is characterized by its complexity and high-dimensionality, encompassing signals from various regions of interests (ROIs) that exhibit intricate correlations. Analyzing fMRI data directly proves challenging due to its intricate structure. Nevertheless, ROIs convey crucial information about brain activities through their connections, offering insights into distinctive brain activity characteristics between different groups. To address this, we propose a cuttingedge interpretable fusion analytic framework that facilitates the identification and understanding of ROI connectivity disparities between two groups, thereby revealing their unique features. Our novel approach encompasses three key steps. Firstly, we construct ROI functional connectivity networks (FCNs) to effectively manage fMRI data. Secondly, employing the FCNs, we utilize a self-attention deep learning model for binary classification, generating an attention distribution that encodes group differences. Lastly, we employ a latent space item-response model to extract group representative ROI features, visualizing these features on the group summary FCNs. We validate the effectiveness of our framework by analyzing four types of cognitive impairments, showcasing its capability to identify significant ROIs contributing to the differences between the two disease groups. This novel interpretable fusion analytic framework holds immense potential for advancing our understanding of cognitive impairments and could pave the way for more targeted therapeutic interventions. Situating learners in a context relevant to scientific phenomena enables them to acquire knowledge through experience, reflection, conceptualization, and practice, which is an important learning mode in science education. However, learners generally do not have opportunities to experience many scientific phenomena in the real world. Therefore, virtual learning environments (VLE) are becoming a frequently adopted technology to provide authentic learning contexts. In particular, spherical video-based learning environments (SVLE), which are a low-tech form of VLE, have attracted the attention of school teachers and educational technology researchers. Additionally, effective assessment methods, such as the two-tier-test, have been adopted to examine learners' performance during the virtual learning process. On the other hand, researchers have pointed out that lack of effective learning strategies may decrease the learning effects in a virtual learning context. Hence, this study integrated a graphic organizer into a two-tier test-based learning mode, in which the first-tier questions were declarative items with a short answer (e.g., the questions of where, what, and when), whereas the second-tier questions were more in-depth, deeper causal-type questions (e.g., the questions of why and how), in the contexts of SVLE. To verify the effectiveness of this learning approach, a graphic organizer-based two-tier test SVLE was developed;moreover, a quasi-experimental design was conducted in the "Mysteries of the Earth" unit of the sixth graders' natural science course. A total of 41 sixth graders from two classes, with an average age of 12, were recruited in this experiment. One class was assigned to be the experimental group adopting the graphic organizer-based two-tier test SVLE (GT-SVLE), while the other was the control group adopting the conventional two-tier test-based SVLE (CT-SVLE). Bacteria are microscopic organisms that can be found in many environments. They are abundant and have many roles in our life. Studying bacteria is essential so that we can identify the bacteria that are needed for many industrial applications. However, the main problem is that majority of the bacteria are unculturable, hampering the exploration of bacteria from different environments. Metagenomics approach which employs Next Generation Sequencing technology could help study bacteria by utilizing 16S rRNA marker gene. This study aims to demonstrate data mining and bioinformatics approaches to analyze 16S rRNA sequencing data. The raw sequencing data of 16S rRNA was collected from biological database. Then, the data were trimmed, denoised, and clustered to generate Amplicon Sequence Variants (ASVs). Diversity (alpha and beta) and taxonomic analyses were then conducted to elucidate the bacterial diversity and taxonomic profile of ASVs. The results of this work showed that Shannon and PD indices in China's hot spring were higher than Singapore and the USA. Furthermore, a significant difference was observed in the PD index. The unweighted UniFrac distance also showed there was a significant difference of the bacterial communities between the three locations. In addition, the taxonomic investigation unveiled prevalent bacterial groups in the ecosystem, namely Proteobacteria, Chloroflexi, Cyanobacteria, and Crenarchaeota. The research outcomes have the potential to serve as a foundational resource for subsequent bacterial metagenomic research, particularly the hot spring environment.

Patch Correctness Checking is the task of detecting automated-program-repair-generated patches that can pass the test suite but are still buggy. In this study, we investigated a new feature to improve the classification performance for automated patch correctness checking. Our approach involved leveraging code-change information at a finer granular level by embedding the code edits and combining them with existing code-change vectors. Through extensive experiments, the results revealed gains up to 3.4% and 3.2% on the Fl-score and AUC.

Dadahup Swamp Irrigation Area (DIR) in Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan is developed for agricultural activities to provide food security after the pandemic. The water system consists of various channels, gates, and a flood embankment structure, which is also connected to three different rivers: Barito River, Mangkatif River, and Kapuas Mumpung River. To quantify flood risk assessments in the area, we perform a hydrodynamic analysis using the unsteady flow method via HEC-RAS software version 4.1.0. We use geometrical profiles from topography measurements and the outer boundary of the Dadahup DIR as input for the hydrologic model. Our results estimate the maximum surface water level from both cross and longitudinal sections in the channels and find that several points near the flood embankment area are prone to flood events. Our modeling approach provides a preliminary assessment for the local government to formulate a flood mitigation plan and policy in the area. © 2021 IEEE.
