Exploring emotion detection in Kashmiri audio reviews using the fusion model of CNN, LSTM, and RNN: gender-specific speech patterns and performance analysis

The research examines the challenge of emotion detection in Kashmiri language utilizing audio reviews. It proposes a fusion model integrating convolutional neural networks (CNN), long short-term memory (LSTM), and recurrent neural networks (RNN). The dataset is segmented into combined, male, and female subsets, and the fusion model’s efficacy is rigorously assessed. Results demonstrate promising performance, achieving an overall accuracy of 87% on the combined dataset, albeit facing difficulties in accurately categorizing certain emotions such as sadness and passive anger. Gender-specific speech characteristics significantly impact the model’s performance, with heightened accuracy in discerning emotional nuances in female speech (91%) compared to male speech (86%). The study highlights the necessity of incorporating gender-specific speech patterns into emotion detection frameworks and underscores the efficacy of fusion models in analyzing underrepresented linguistic data. These findings advance the development of emotion detection systems tailored for Kashmiri language applications and have implications for sentiment analysis and human–computer interaction domains. © Bharati Vidyapeeth's institute of computer Applications and Management 2024.

In the present scenario of rapid growth in cloud computing models,several companies and users started to share their data on cloud ***,when the model is not completely trusted,the data owners face several security-related problems,such as user privacy breaches,data disclosure,data corruption,and so on,during the process of data *** addressing and handling the security-related issues on Cloud,several models were *** that concern,this paper develops a Privacy-Preserved Data Security Approach(PP-DSA)to provide the data security and data integrity for the out-sourcing data in Cloud *** preservation is ensured in this work with the Efficient Authentication Technique(EAT)using the Group Signature method that is applied with Third-Party Auditor(TPA).The role of the auditor is to secure the data and guarantee shared data ***,the Cloud Service Provider(CSP)and Data User(DU)can also be the attackers that are to be handled with the ***,the major objective of the work is to enhance cloud security and thereby,increase Quality of Service(QoS).The results are evaluated based on the model effectiveness,security,and reliability and show that the proposed model provides better results than existing works.

Breast cancer remains one of the leading causes of mortality among women worldwide, making early detection and accurate classification critical for improving patient out-comes. This study explores the application of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) for breast cancer multiclass classification and prediction using the CBIS-DDSM: Breast Cancer Image Dataset. The model was trained to classify mammographic images into three categories: benign, malignant, and benign without callback, achieving an impressive accuracy of 99.6%. The choice of ANN was driven by its proven capability to model complex, nonlinear relationships within data, offering a significant improvement over traditional machine learning technique. Despite the challenges posed by the limited size and heterogeneity of the dataset, the ANN demonstrated robust performance, highlighting its potential for clinical applications. The high accuracy of the model underscores its value as a reliable tool for aiding radiologists in the early detection and prognosis of breast cancer, which could lead to more effective treatment planning and better patient outcomes. This study lays the foundation for integrating advanced AI technologies into clinical settings, offering promise for more precise, timely breast cancer diagnoses. © 2025 IEEE.

The proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and ubiquitous connectivity has led to uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) playing key role as edge servers, revolutionizing the wireless communications landscape by facilitating computing and caching resources closer to ground users (GUs). This advancement significantly alleviates core network loads, reduces latency, and guarantees content availability even in congested or remote areas. However, jointly optimizing UAV caching strategies and trajectories gives rise to a multi-task optimization (MTO) problem. This paper introduces a novel multi-task geo-temporal caching (MT-GTC) framework that addresses the interplay between UAV caching mechanisms and trajectory optimization in a cohesive manner. Leveraging a proposed multi-task learning (MTL) model for joint optimization of UAV caching and trajectory design, we develop a federated learning cloud-assisted knowledge distillation (FL-CAKD) scheme to preserve data privacy and adapt to data heterogeneity. FL-CAKD transfers knowledge from a cloud model orchestrator (CMO), which houses a large and sophisticated teacher model, to a lightweight on-device MTL student models using soft target distributions instead of large model parameters, significantly reducing communication costs. MT-GTC optimizes caching and trajectories to maximize cache hits and minimize latency. Evaluations on real-world mobility datasets demonstrate up to 95% cache hit rates and 21% lower delays compared to baselines. © 2004-2012 IEEE.

Precision agriculture uses data gathered from various sources to improve agricultural yields and the effectiveness of crop management techniques like fertiliser application, irrigation management, and pesticide application. Reduced usage of agrochemicals is a key step towards more sustainable agriculture. Weed management robots which can perform tasks like selective sprinkling or mechanical weed elimination, contribute to this objective. A trustworthy crop/weed classification system that can accurately recognise and classify crops and weeds is required for these robots to function. In this paper, we explore various deep learning models for achieving reliable segmentation results in less training time. We classify every pixel of the images into different categories using semantic segmentation models. The models are based on an encoder-decoder architecture, where feature maps are extracted during encoding and spatial information is recovered during decoding. We examine the segmentation output on a beans dataset containing different weeds, which were collected under highly distinct environmental conditions, including cloudy, rainy, dawn, evening, full sun, and shadow. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer-Verlag GmbH Germany, part of Springer Nature 2024.

Hardware-friendly rate estimation algorithm and architecture design for AVS3

To enhance the capabilities of advanced video coding for emerging applications, the AVS3 standard has been introduced to double the coding efficiency compared to its predecessor, the AVS2 standard. It incorporates sophisticated coding tools, such as advanced rate-distortion optimization (RDO), to select the optimal coding mode. The AVS3 standard further refines bit rate compression through advanced Entropy Coding (AEC) within the RDO process. However, AEC demands significant computational resources due to its high data dependency and involves complex steps like binarization, context modeling, interval subdivision, renormalization, handling of outstanding bits, and context updating. Notably, the time complexity of AEC is predominantly due to context updating and interval subdivision, which are recursive and thus pose challenges for real-time applications, particularly in hardware implementations. Addressing these challenges, this paper introduces an adaptive rate estimation algorithm using a hardware-friendly piece-wise linear function to expedite bit rate calculations for AVS3 applications. Initially, we develop a linear rate estimation method based on the statistics of bin numbers. To preserve high coding performance, we further propose an adaptive model parameter updating method that adjusts weights dynamically based on varying video content. Building on this fast rate estimation algorithm, we propose a high-throughput hardware architecture that incorporates pipelining and parallelization to meet the stringent real-time requirements for 4K@120fps ultra-high-definition video at 200 MHz, with only a minimal increase in BD-rate by 1.06% under the All-Intra (AI) configuration. To our knowledge, this is the pioneering study focusing on hardware-oriented rate estimation for the AVS3 standard, marking a significant advancement in the field of video coding technology. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature

This research study proposes the development of comprehensive vital sign surveillance designed for real-time patient assessment. The system integrates multiple sensors, including the LM35 temperature sensor, Heartbeat Rate (HBR) and Blood Oxygen (SpO2) Sensor, DHT11 humidity and temperature sensor, OLED display, and gyroscope sensor, to provide a holistic approach to vital signs. The LM35 sensor is employed for accurate temperature measurement, providing crucial data for monitoring the patient's thermal status. This information is essential for detecting fever or abnormal temperature variations, aiding in the early identification of potential health issues. The HBR and SpO2 sensor plays a vital role in cardiovascular vital signs. The system can assess the patient's cardiac and respiratory well-being by measuring the heart rate and blood oxygen levels. Abnormalities in these parameters can trigger timely alerts, enabling swift medical intervention. The DHT11 sensor enhances the system's capabilities by monitoring ambient temperature and humidity. This additional environmental data contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the patient's surroundings, ensuring that external factors are considered in the health assessment process. Integrating an OLED display serves as an intuitive user interface, providing real-time feedback on the measured parameters. This ensures that patients and healthcare providers can easily interpret and respond to the health data presented by the system. The display can showcase temperature, humidity, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and other relevant information in a user-friendly format. Furthermore, the gyroscope sensor adds a layer of sophistication to vital sign surveillance by enabling the assessment of body movement and posture. This feature is particularly beneficial for patients with mobility issues or those prone to falls. All-in-one Weather-degraded Image Restoration via Adaptive Degradation-aware Self-prompting Model

Existing approaches for all-in-one weather-degraded image restoration suffer from inefficiencies in leveraging degradation-aware priors, resulting in sub-optimal performance in adapting to different weather conditions. To this end, we develop an adaptive degradation-aware self-prompting model (ADSM) for all-in-one weather-degraded image restoration. Specifically, our model employs the contrastive language-image pre-training model (CLIP) to facilitate the training of our proposed latent prompt generators (LPGs), which represent three types of latent prompts to characterize the degradation type, degradation property and image caption. Moreover, we integrate the acquired degradation-aware prompts into the time embedding of diffusion model to improve degradation perception. Meanwhile, we employ the latent caption prompt to guide the reverse sampling process using the cross-attention mechanism, thereby guiding the accurate image reconstruction. Furthermore, to accelerate the reverse sampling procedure of diffusion model and address the limitations of frequency perception, we introduce a wavelet-oriented noise estimating network (WNE-Net). Extensive experiments conducted on eight publicly available datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed approach in both task-specific and all-in-one applications. © 1999-2012 IEEE.

Battery management systems(BMSs) play a vital role in ensuring efficient and reliable operations of lithium-ion *** main function of the BMSs is to estimate battery states and diagnose battery health using battery open-circuit voltage(OCV).However,acquiring the complete OCV data online can be a challenging endeavor due to the time-consuming measurement process or the need for specific operating conditions required by OCV estimation *** addressing these concerns,this study introduces a deep neural network-combined framework for accurate and robust OCV estimation,utilizing partial daily charging *** incorporate a generative deep learning model to extract aging-related features from data and generate high-fidelity OCV *** analysis is employed to identify the optimal partial charging data,optimizing the OCV estimation precision while preserving exceptional *** validation results,using data from nickel-cobalt-magnesium(NCM) batteries,illustrate the accurate estimation of the complete OCV-capacity curve,with an average root mean square errors(RMSE) of less than 3 *** this level of precision for OCV estimation requires only around 50 s collection of partial charging *** validations on diverse battery types operating under various conditions confirm the effectiveness of our proposed *** cases of precise health diagnosis based on OCV highlight the significance of conducting online OCV *** method provides a flexible approach to achieve complete OCV estimation and holds promise for generalization to other tasks in BMSs.
