Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a complex neurodevelopmental condition that impacts social communication, behavior, and cognitive functions. Early detection of autism is crucial for timely intervention, which can significantly improve developmental outcomes for individuals. This paper presents a novel methodology for detecting Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) using a Cascaded Convolutional Neural Network (CCNN) model. The proposed CCNN model processes neuroimaging data to detect patterns indicative of autism. The dataset used comprises 6,214 samples from the Autism Brain Imaging Data Exchange (ABIDE). Key preprocessing steps include resizing images to 224x224 pixels, noise reduction using a Median Filter, image cropping to focus on the region of interest (ROI), and contrast enhancement using histogram equalization. The CCNN architecture involves multiple convolutional layers, followed by max-pooling and fully connected layers, culminating in a Softmax layer for classification. The model is trained using the Adam optimizer with binary cross-entropy loss, achieving an accuracy of 93.19% on the test set, outperforming traditional models such as SVM, Random Forest, and Logistic Regression. © 2024 IEEE.

At present, technological systems lack a secure and transparent method for tracking goods and preventing theft in e-commerce, leading to trust issues and data vulnerabilities. There is a pressing need for a comprehensive solution that integrates Ethereum blockchain, IPFS, and advanced cryptographic techniques to address these challenges and enhance the security and transparency of transactions. This research paper presents a robust system that harnesses the Ethereum blockchain, IPFS (Interplanetary File System), and advanced cryptographic algorithms to create a secure, decentralized approach for tracking goods and preventing theft incidents. Unique identifiers and related information will be sent to the mail of the customer and same should entered by the customer for successful transaction. By assigning unique identifiers to purchased products and employing cryptographic techniques to encrypt sensitive data, our system ensures both user privacy and the creation of an immutable transaction ledger. Users can efficiently manage their purchased goods, block stolen items, and communicate with sellers through an intuitive interface. Additionally, the system provides sellers with a comprehensive transaction history, enhancing accountability and transparency within the supply chain. Through this research, we demonstrate the effectiveness of our blockchain based anti-theft measures, underpinned by Ethereum, IPFS, and cutting-edge cryptographic algorithms, in fostering secure, trustless transactions. This work highlights the transformative potential of blockchain technology and decentralized protocols in revolutionizing security and transparency across diverse sectors. © 2024 The Authors. Deep Neural Network and GAN-Based Reversible Data Hiding in Encrypted Images: A Privacy-Preserving Approach

In light of recent incidents involving the leakage of private photographs of Hollywood celebrities from iCloud, the need for robust methods to safeguard image content has gained paramount importance. This paper addresses this concern by introducing a novel framework for reversible image editing (RIT) supported by reversible data hiding with encrypted images (RDH-EI) techniques. Unlike traditional approaches vulnerable to hacking, this framework ensures both efficient and secure data embedding while maintaining the original image’s privacy. The framework leverages two established methods: secret writing and knowledge activity. While secret writing is susceptible to hacking due to the complex nature of cipher languages, RDH-EI-supported RIT adopts a more secure approach. It replaces the linguistic content of the original image with the semantics of a different image, rendering the encrypted image visually indistinguishable from a plaintext image. This novel substitution prevents cloud servers from detecting encrypted data, enabling the adoption of reversible data hiding (RDH) methods designed for plaintext images. The proposed framework offers several distinct advantages. Firstly, it ensures the confidentiality of sensitive information by concealing the linguistic content of the original image. Secondly, it supports reversible image editing, enabling the restoration of the original image from the encrypted version without any loss of data. Lastly, the integration of RDH techniques designed for plaintext images empowers the cloud server to embed supplementary data while preserving image quality. Incorporating convolutional neural network (CNN) and generative adversarial network (GAN) models, the framework ensures accurate data extraction and high-quality image restoration. An Automated Identification Approach for Partial Discharge Detection Using Density-Based Clustering Without User Inputs

A recently published state-of-the-art density-based clustering technique called ICFSFDP for partial discharge (PD) detection requires various sensitive user-defined input parameters. This article presents a parameter-free clustering technique called PDAutoClust for PD detection. The PDAutoClust algorithm can produce high-quality clusters for PD datasets without requiring user-defined input parameters. PDAutoClust produces high-quality clustering results by utilizing a vein-based density clustering approach. The vein of a cluster is produced by using multivariate kernel density estimation and a unique neighborhood set. We compared the performance of PDAutoClust against ICFSFDP and seven other state-of-the-art density-based and non-density-based clustering techniques by using four PD datasets in terms of adjusted rand index, normalized mutual information, F1-score, and purity. Another contribution of the article is a novel merging technique used with PDAutoClust to merge small non-viable clusters that a clustering technique may produce. PDAutoClust produces the final clusters for a dataset by merging the non-viable clusters that a clustering technique may produce. We also evaluate the performance of PDAutoClust with merging technique versus PDAutoClust without merging technique using four datasets. Simulation results for PDAutoClust with the merging technique show good performance compared to ICFSFDP and seven other state-of-the-art clustering techniques. We also performed an ablation study to demonstrate the importance of the steps involved in PDAutoClust. © 2020 IEEE.

Generating Adversarial Patterns in Facial Recognition with Visual Camouflage

Deep neural networks, especially face recognition models, have been shown to be vulnerable to adversarial examples. However, existing attack methods for face recognition systems either cannot attack black-box models, are not universal, have cumbersome deployment processes, or lack camouflage and are easily detected by the human eye. In this paper, we propose an adversarial pattern generation method for face recognition and achieve universal black-box attacks by pasting the pattern on the frame of goggles. To achieve visual camouflage, we use a generative adversarial network (GAN). The scale of the generative network of GAN is increased to balance the performance conflict between concealment and adversarial behavior, the perceptual loss function based on VGG19 is used to constrain the color style and enhance GAN’s learning ability, and the fine-grained meta-learning adversarial attack strategy is used to carry out black-box attacks. Sufficient visualization results demonstrate that compared with existing methods, the proposed method can generate samples with camouflage and adversarial characteristics. Meanwhile, extensive quantitative experiments show that the generated samples have a high attack success rate against black-box models. © 2023, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

A Hybrid Relational Approach Toward Stock Price Prediction and Profitability

An accurate estimation of future stock prices can help investors maximize their profits. The current advancements in the area of artificial intelligence (AI) have proven prevalent in the financial sector. Besides, stock market prediction is difficult owing to the considerable volatility and unpredictability induced by numerous factors. Recent approaches have considered fundamental, technical, or macroeconomic variables to find hidden complex patterns in financial data. At the macro level, there exists a spillover effect between stock pairs that can explain the variance present in the data and boost the prediction performance. To address this interconnectedness defined by intrasector stocks, we propose a hybrid relational approach to predict the future price of stocks in the American, Indian, and Korean economies. We collected market data of large-, mid-, and small-capitalization peer companies in the same industry as the target firm, considering them as relational features. To ensure efficient feature selection, we have utilized a data-driven approach, i.e., random forest feature permutation (RF2P), to remove noise and instability. A hybrid prediction module consisting of temporal convolution and linear model (TCLM) is proposed that considers irregularities and linear trend components of the financial data. We found that RF2P-TCLM gave the superior performance. To demonstrate the real-world applicability of our approach in terms of profitability, we created a trading method based on the predicted results. This technique generates a higher profit than the existing approaches. © 2024 IEEE.

Indonesia has entered a period of demographic bonus. Human resources must be optimized. The number of children who do not in employment, education or training (NEET) in each province needs attention. Several factors that could contribute to the decline in the NEET percentage are literacy rates and the number of adolescents with computer skills. Increasing these two factors is believed to be able to reduce the percentage of NEET in every province in Indonesia. To find out the relationship between these two factors and how much influence they have on the percentage of NEET, this research is modeled by Cauchy regression and includes spatial effects. The results of the analysis show that the best model is when the spatial effect is modeled by Fernandez Steel Skew Normal conditionally autoregressive (FSSN CAR). This result is seen from the smallest value of the Watanabe Akaike Information Criterion (WAIC) in this model, which is 190.5. The parameter estimated shows that the higher the literacy rate and the number of adolescents with computer skills, the lower the percentage of NEET in each province in Indonesia. The results of this research can be useful for the Indonesian government to increase the number of educational facilities related to these two factors. © (2024), (International Association of Engineers). A Design and Challenges in Energy Optimizing CR-Wireless Sensor Networks

Background: The progress of the Cognitive Radio-Wireless Sensor Network is being influenced by advancements in wireless sensor networks (WSNs), which significantly have unique features of cognitive radio technology (CR-WSN). Enhancing the network lifespan of any network requires better utilization of the available spectrum as well as the selection of a good routing mechanism for transmitting informational data to the base station from the sensor node without data conflict. Aims: Cognitive radio methods play a significant part in achieving this, and when paired with WSNs, the above-mentioned objectives can be met to a large extent. Methods: A unique energy-saving Distance-Based Multi-hop Clustering and Routing (DBMCR) methodology in association with spectrum allocation is proposed as a heterogeneous CR-WSN model. The supplied heterogeneous CR-wireless sensor networks are separated into areas and assigned a different spectrum depending on the distance. Information is sent over a multi-hop connection after dynamic clustering using distance computation. Results: The findings show that the suggested method achieves higher stability and ensures the energy-optimizing CR-WSN. The enhanced scalability can be seen in the First Node Death (FND). Additionally, the improved throughput helps to preserve the residual energy of the network which helps to address the issue of load balancing across nodes. Conclusion: Thus, the result acquired from the above findings shows that the proposed heterogeneous model achieves the enhanced network lifetime and ensures the energy optimizing CR-WSN. © 2023 Bentham science Publishers.

IoT is becoming increasingly popular due to its quick expansion and variety of applications. In addition, 5G technology helps with communication and network connectivity. This work integrates C-RAN with IoT networks to provide an experimental 5G testbed. In a 5G IoT environment, this experience is utilized to enhance both perpendicular and flat localization (3D localization). DRCaG, an acronym for the proposed model, stands for a deep, complicated network with a gated layer on top. The performance of the proposed model has been demonstrated through extensive simulations in terms of learning reduction, accuracy, and matrix disorientation, with a variable signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) spanning from 20 dB to + 20 dB, which illustrates the superiority of DRCaG compared to others. An online, end-to-end solution based on deep learning techniques is presented in this study for the fast, precise, reliable, and automatic detection of diverse petty crime types. By detecting tiny crimes like hostility, bag snatching, and vandalism, the suggested system may not only identify unusual passenger behavior like vandalism and accidents but also improve passenger security. The solution performs admirably in a variety of use cases and environmental settings. © 2023 by the authors of this article. Published under CC-BY.
