Profanity detection has become increasingly important in various industries, including media and online content moderation. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to identifying profane words from audio using natural language processing (NLP) techniques. We first convert the audio files into textual transcripts using automatic speech recognition (ASR) tools. We then apply pre-processing techniques such as tokenization, stemming, and stop-word removal to the transcripts. Finally, we train various machine learning models, such as Naive Bayes, Support Vector Machines (SVMs), and Random Forests, to classify the transcripts as either containing profane language or not. The proposed approach can be integrated into various applications, such as content moderation tools, online chat systems, and automatic transcription services. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

In recent years, cloud computing has witnessed widespread applications across numerous organizations. Predicting workload and computing resource data can facilitate proactive service operation management, leading to substantial improvements in quality of service and cost efficiency. However, these data often exhibit non-linearity, high volatility, and interdependencies across different categories, presenting challenges for accurate forecasting. Consequently, there is a critical need to develop a method that thoroughly and comprehensively analyzes all available data to forecast future trends effectively. This work proposes a novel integrated data-enhanced prediction model named SVAPI for achieving high-accuracy workload prediction in cloud computing systems. SVAPI employs the Savitzky-Golay filter, Variational mode decomposition, and the mode selection based on Amplitude-aware Permutation entropy for feature processing, whose features are subsequently utilized by Informer for multivariate joint analysis of the enhanced data, achieving high-precision prediction. Ablation and comparative experiments with advanced prediction models are conducted on the Google cluster trace and other typical datasets. Realistic data-driven results indicate that SVAPI improves the prediction accuracy by 37.7% compared to the original Informer, with each module contributing to the performance enhancement. Furthermore, compared with Autoformer, SVAPI enhances the prediction accuracy of workload, CPU, and memory by 65.6%, 66.9%, and 70.8%, respectively, demonstrating that SVAPI owns strong abilities in noise filtering, feature processing, and multivariate joint analysis for achieving higher prediction accuracy. © 2014 IEEE.

Neurological diseases are the disorders of brain and the nerves that run throughout the human body. There is a range of symptoms that arise as a result of chemical, structural, or electrical modifications in the regions of brain. One such neurological disease is the Alzheimer's Disease (AD), is considered as a slow and progressive disease that majorly affects the cognitive abilities of the individual. It is most common forms of dementia without any proper cure. However, early diagnosis and treatment might slow down the symptoms and improve the lifestyle of the individual. The most common techniques to identify the neurological disorders are imaging of the brain regions, namely, CT, MRI, PET, etc. The learning approaches, such as Deep Learning and Machine Learning are identified to be effective in analyzing these images to provide better accuracies in detecting the AD. In this study, four versions of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) are used to classify AD and Control cases. Further, the Kapur's thresholding technique is also implemented to segment the images for improving the classification accuracy of AD. From the results shown in the study, the inference shows that the VGG16 of CNN provides considerable improvement than the other deep learning models before and after the implementation of thresholding. © 2024 IEEE.

With the growing demand for wireless networks, network traffic has surged, particularly involving large-scale data transmission. This results in an increased number of network security threats and the emergence of various cyber-attacks. To overcome these threats, the development of an efficient intrusion detection system (IDS) has become crucial. By leveraging the recent advancements in Artificial intelligence (AI), this project introduces an optimized deep learning mechanism utilizing a prevalent deep learning model, the Deep Neural Network (DNN) algorithm. This proposed method uses feature engineering techniques like feature selection and feature reduction. Given the high dimensionality of the selected datasets, these techniques are employed to prevent over-fitting. Recursive feature elimination performs feature selection followed by Principal Component Analysis for the feature reduction process, thus enhancing the model's efficiency. The system is assessed using two benchmark datasets: KDD and UNSW-NB15. The experimental results indicate that the presented DNN model on the KDD dataset has achieved 92.45% accuracy and 91.35% accuracy on the UNSW-NB15 dataset for intrusion classification. © 2024 IEEE.

This study presents a deep learning architecture designed to monitor a woman's menstrual cycle and provide personalized dietary suggestions to improve health. The system employs complex models, including CNNs, RNNs, Transformers, T-GNNs, VAEs, and GANs, to predict the intensity of symptoms, determine the phases of the menstrual cycle, and offer personalized nutritional advice. By analysing data from menstrual diaries, food consumption, and symptom tracking, the method establishes a strong association between hormonal fluctuations, symptoms, and nutritional needs. Model accuracy is enhanced through data preprocessing techniques, including imputation, normalization, and augmentation, which provide high-quality training inputs. Research shows that Transformer models outperform other approaches in phase recognition (96% accuracy) and phase-aware nutritional recommendation accuracy. This research highlights how deep learning can transform women's healthcare by providing personalized nutritional recommendations based on data that align with the phases of a woman's menstrual cycle, ultimately contributing to improved health for women. © 2024 IEEE.

The growing spectrum of Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) applications in medical imaging, cyber security, data augmentation, and the field of remote sensing tasks necessitate a sharp spike in the criticality of review of Generative Adversarial Networks. Earlier reviews that targeted reviewing certain architecture of the GAN or emphasizing a specific application-oriented area have done so in a narrow spirit and lacked the systematic comparative analysis of the models’ performance metrics. Numerous reviews do not apply standardized frameworks, showing gaps in the efficiency evaluation of GANs, training stability, and suitability for specific tasks. In this work, a systemic review of GAN models using the PRISMA framework is developed in detail to fill the gap by structurally evaluating GAN architectures. A wide variety of GAN models have been discussed in this review, starting from the basic Conditional GAN, Wasserstein GAN, and Deep Convolutional GAN, and have gone down to many specialized models, such as EVAGAN, FCGAN, and SIF-GAN, for different applications across various domains like fault diagnosis, network security, medical imaging, and image segmentation. The PRISMA methodology systematically filters relevant studies by inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure transparency and replicability in the review process. Hence, all models are assessed relative to specific performance metrics such as accuracy, stability, and computational efficiency. There are multiple benefits to using the PRISMA approach in this setup. Not only does this help in finding optimal models suitable for various applications, but it also provides an explicit framework for comparing GAN performance. In addition to this, diverse types of GAN are included to ensure a comprehensive view of the state-of-the-art techniques. In blockchain networks, transactions can be transmitted through channels. The existing transmission methods depend on their routing information. If a node randomly chooses a channel to transmit a transaction, the transmission may be aborted due to insufficient funds(also called balance) or a low transmission rate. To increase the success rate and reduce transmission delay across all transactions, this work proposes a transaction transmission model for blockchain channels based on non-cooperative game *** balance, channel states, and transmission probability are fully considered. This work then presents an optimized channel transaction transmission algorithm. First, channel balances are analyzed and suitable channels are selected if their balance is sufficient. Second, a Nash equilibrium point is found by using an iterative sub-gradient method and its related channels are then used to transmit transactions. The proposed method is compared with two state-of-the-art approaches: Silent Whispers and Speedy Murmurs. Experimental results show that the proposed method improves transmission success rate, reduces transmission delay,and effectively decreases transmission overhead in comparison with its two competitive peers.

In the field of emergency medical services, the element of time significantly influences patient outcomes. The groundbreaking Instant Ambulance Connection- Rescue Radar system is introduced to expedite responses to medical emergencies. This research paper explores the system's structure, approach, and potential impact, highlighting its role in providing swift and efficient emergency medical services. The primary objective of this system is to bridge the gap between patients and ambulance services, simplifying ambulance requests and hospital visit scheduling. A user-friendly Android app is central to its functionality, enabling one-tap ambulance requests and harnessing modern technologies like the Internet of Things and the Google Maps API to transmit user information and precise locations to local ambulance drivers rapidly. This system also empowers patients with real-time access to ambulance availability and the ability to track the ambulance's location in real-time. By enhancing communication between patients, ambulance drivers, and healthcare institutions, the system significantly improves the efficiency of the emergency medical response network. © 2023 ACM.

Nowadays,the rapid development of edge computing has driven an increasing number of deep learning applications deployed at the edge of the network,such as pedestrian and vehicle detection,to provide efficient intelligent services to mobile ***,as the accuracy requirements continue to increase,the components of deep learning models for pedestrian and vehicle detection,such as YOLOv4,become more sophisticated and the computing resources required for model training are increasing dramatically,which in turn leads to significant challenges in achieving effective deployment on resource-constrained edge devices while ensuring the high accuracy *** addressing this challenge,a cloud-edge collaboration-based pedestrian and vehicle detection framework is proposed in this paper,which enables sufficient training of models by utilizing the abundant computing resources in the cloud,and then deploying the well-trained models on edge devices,thus reducing the computing resource requirements for model training on edge ***,to reduce the size of the model deployed on edge devices,an automatic pruning method combines the convolution layer and BN layer is proposed to compress the pedestrian and vehicle detection model *** results show that the framework proposed in this paper is able to deploy the pruned model on a real edge device,Jetson TX2,with 6.72 times higher ***,the channel pruning reduces the volume and the number of parameters to 96.77%for the model,and the computing amount is reduced to 81.37%.

The HVAC system, energy storage building, distributed power supply, and other equipment are integrated into the scheduling algorithm, which is aimed at reducing household electricity consumption. It is also assumed that users can provide energy to the grid according to their own conditions. Taking electricity cost and comfort level as optimization targets, a home energy optimization control model for the coordinated management of hybrid energy sources is built. A smart scheduling mechanism based on the improved adaptive particle swarm optimization approach is proposed in order to derive the best time intervals for electric appliances, necessary power for the control of the room temperature for every time frame, and power for charging and discharging of the storage battery at various moments. Simulation results show that through the incorporation of distributed photovoltaic power generation, backup storage by battery, and home energy optimization control, the system efficiently balances between user comfort and electricity consumption. This offers great technical support to the development of home energy management systems. By using time-of-use electricity price for energy acquisition and supply, the optimization control goal is minimizing both power use and cost as well as preserving comfort levels. The hybrid energy management's proposed home energy optimization control model uses an adaptive particle swarm optimization algorithm to find the optimal operation schedules of the electrical appliances, the required power for temperature control in a room, and the charge/discharge power level of the storage battery at each time interval. As per the optimization principle, the proposed dynamic programming algorithm converts the multi-stage problem into a sequence of single-stage problems and solves them separately.
