Gliomas are aggressive brain tumors known for their heterogeneity,unclear borders,and diverse locations on Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)*** factors present significant challenges for MRI-based segmentation,a crucial step for effective treatment planning and monitoring of glioma *** study proposes a novel deep learning framework,ResNet Multi-Head Attention U-Net(ResMHA-Net),to address these challenges and enhance glioma segmentation ***-Net leverages the strengths of both residual blocks from the ResNet architecture and multi-head attention *** powerful combination empowers the network to prioritize informative regions within the 3D MRI data and capture long-range *** doing so,ResMHANet effectively segments intricate glioma sub-regions and reduces the impact of uncertain tumor *** rigorously trained and validated ResMHA-Net on the BraTS 2018,2019,2020 and 2021 ***,ResMHA-Net achieved superior segmentation accuracy on the BraTS 2021 dataset compared to the previous years,demonstrating its remarkable adaptability and robustness across diverse ***,we collected the predicted masks obtained from three datasets to enhance survival prediction,effectively augmenting the dataset *** features were then extracted from these predicted masks and,along with clinical data,were used to train a novel ensemble learning-based machine learning model for survival *** model employs a voting mechanism aggregating predictions from multiple models,leading to significant improvements over existing *** ensemble approach capitalizes on the strengths of various models,resulting in more accurate and reliable predictions for patient ***,we achieved an impressive accuracy of 73%for overall survival(OS)prediction.

Cardiovascular diseases are a major global health challenge, with electrocardiography (ECG) being critical for diagnosis and monitoring. As artificial intelligence and automated ECG diagnostic technologies rapidly advance, the demand for large-scale ECG databases continues to grow. Generative ECG has become a mainstream method to enhance database size and diversity. However, existing methods typically generate ECG randomly or focus on limited physiological categories, lacking the ability to synthesize ECG with varying physiological features and cardiac cycles, which is crucial for various practical applications. In response to this need, we propose a novel approach introducing a diffusion model called DIFF-ECG to generate precisely customized ECG that accurately reflect diverse cardiac conditions. Segmentation-based quality assessments confirmed that the synthesized ECG accurately followed the specified cardiac cycle information, with our model significantly outperforming baseline diffusion and GAN-based methods. Therefore, our approach addresses the critical need for generating clinically relevant and customizable ECG, contributing significantly to the field of automated cardiac disease diagnosis. By enabling fine-tuning of cardiac cycle phases, our method significantly expands the application range of generative ECG, potentially improving the diagnostic accuracy for rare diseases and advancing personalized medicine. © 2024 IEEE.

ACOVMD: Automatic COVID-19 misinformation detection in Twitter using self-trained semi-supervised hybrid deep learning model

During the COVID-19 pandemic, online social networks are extensively utilized, more than ever before by 8.4%, resulting in the propagation of false information related to COVID-19. Despite the existence of many fake news detection models;annotation inconsistency, memory consumption, accurate and self-trained efficient algorithms for detecting the emerging COVID-19 misinformation tweets are still challenging. Hence, the main aim of this work is to come up with a self-trained semi-supervised model that accurately and automatically detects the reliability of emerging COVID-19 tweets without delay. In this work, COVID-19 tweet dataset is created in English Language from the period January 2020 to January 2022 as a ground truth database. Then self-trained semi-supervised hybrid deep learning model is proposed to train both supervised and unsupervised components simultaneously using the created dataset. The proposed model is self-trained repeatedly and the model gets updated to predict the reliability of upcoming COVID-19 tweets that differ from training tweets. We performed experiments multiple times by limiting the percentage amount of labelled tweets shown to the model, namely 80%, 50%, 40%, 30%, 20% and 10% labelled tweets, respectively. Experimental results show that the proposed model achieves 80.92% accuracy and 98.15% accuracy in the 10% and 80% label-seen experiments, respectively. This shows a clear rising trend in the performance curve. Therefore, this technique will be useful for effectively classifying voluminous amounts of emerging tweets generated as part of the COVID-19 infodemic. The proposed model may efficiently use a huge amount of unlabelled tweets and enhance the model's generalization performance. © 2023 John Wiley & Sons Ltd.

Biometric cryptosystems are security tools that use an individual’s distinctive physical or behavioral characteristics to secure sensitive data. Any biometric cryptosystem’s effectiveness is dependent on how well the features are extracted. The suggested solution uses an evolutionary algorithm to first optimize the retrieved attributes. Second, fuzzy vault is used to safeguard these optimized features. The fuzzy vault system is a well-known biometric cryptography device that creates a vault by using a polynomial equation, protecting the biometric information. However, if an attacker has access to the polynomial equation, the security of the fuzzy vault scheme may be jeopardized. The shuffled frog leaping algorithm (SFLA) method has been suggested as a way to improve the security of the fuzzy vault technique in order to overcome this drawback. The SFLA is a meta-heuristic optimization method that resolves challenging optimization issues by simulating the social behavior of frogs. This meta-heuristic technique is used in this paper’s suggested strategy to produce and secure optimized points. The experiments are performed onn AMI and MMU2 databases. Epilepsy is considered as a serious brain disorder in which patients frequently experience *** seizures are defined as the unexpected electrical changes in brain neural activity,which leads to *** researches made an intense effort for predicting the epileptic seizures using brain signal ***,they faced difficulty in obtaining the patients'characteristics because the model's distribution turned to fake predictions,affecting the model's *** addition,the existing prediction models have severe issues,such as overfitting and false positive *** overcome these existing issues,we propose a deep learning approach known as Deep dual‐patch attention mechanism(D^(2)PAM)for classifying the pre‐ictal signals of people with Epilepsy based on the brain *** neural network is integrated with D^(2)PAM,and it lowers the effect of differences between patients to predict *** multi‐network design enhances the trained model's generalisability and stability ***,the proposed model for processing the brain signal is designed to transform the signals into data blocks,which is appropriate for pre‐ictal *** earlier warning of epilepsy with the proposed model obtains the auxiliary *** data of real patients for the experiments provides the improved accuracy by D2PAM approximation compared to the existing *** be more distinctive,the authors have analysed the performance of their work with five patients,and the accuracy comes out to be 95%,97%,99%,99%,and 99%***,the numerical results unveil that the proposed work outperforms the existing models.

Deep learning algorithms in medical image processing have showed considerable promise, notably in the identification of DR. However, due to the disease's complexity and variability, precisely identifying DR remains difficult. A recently developed deep learning approach known as DCA has shown promising outcomes in a range of image classification applications, including medical imaging. The DCA model excels at recognising essential parts and patterns by using attention mechanism to focus on significant areas and exclude irrelevant ones. Our findings add to the body of knowledge about deep learning approaches in medical picture processing. We discovered that combining DCA approaches with ResNet-50 and ensembling it with other state of art models improved DR classification accuracy considerably. The ensemble model, with weights assigned to each architecture, outperformed the standalone ResNet-50-DCA model's accuracy of 73.59%, precision of 75.52%, and recall of 74.37%. The ensemble technique maximises performance while minimising weaknesses by harnessing the strengths of diverse models. © 2023 IEEE.

A brain tumour is an abnormal development of brain tissue that disrupts normal brain function. The proper diagnosis of a brain tumour relies heavily on its correct identification. This article discusses the pros and cons of recently developed technologies for diagnosing brain tumours. We propose a generic flow map that can be used in many different situations, including the detection of brain tumours. The many accessible datasets are given for use in evaluating brain tumour algorithms. There is a need for research that identifies brain tumours with decent efficiency and fair effort, therefore this article compares the performance of recent literature additions in terms of Accuracy, Sensitivity, Specificity, and time consumption. © 2023 IEEE.

Uncertainty in AI refers to the degree of confidence or probability associated with the accuracy or effectiveness of an AI system's output. It is a measure of how much the AI system is unsure about the correctness of its output or decision-making. Uncertainty can arise in AI systems due to a variety of factors, including the quality of input data, variations in data formats, variations in context or environment, and the complexity of the underlying algorithms. Different AI applications can have specific types of uncertainty associated with them, as we discussed in previous questions about uncertainty in AI image recognition, natural language processing, data extraction, expert systems, planning and optimization, and robotics. To mitigate uncertainty in AI systems, researchers and developers use various methods, such as incorporating more data and diverse inputs, improving the quality of input data, enhancing the algorithms, and using feedback mechanisms to learn from errors and improve the system over time. However, complete elimination of uncertainty is often challenging or impossible, and users should always be aware of the potential for errors or unexpected behaviour in AI systems.
