In recent years, wide bandgap semiconductor devices such as silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) have been increasingly applied in electric drive systems, effectively enhancing system power density. However, the high-frequency and high-speed characteristics of SiC devices exacerbate electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues within the system. Additionally, the cables in electric drive systems exhibit significant antenna effects, radiating conducted EMI into the surrounding space, thereby affecting the normal operation of other sensitive equipment. Therefore, it is essential to research motor drive system topologies that can actively suppress EMI and predict radiated interference in motor drive systems. The topology of a four-module motor paired with parallel inverters can achieve active suppression of EMI at the source. This paper conducts a simulation-based prediction of radiated interference for a parallel inverter-driven four-module motor system. It analyzes the coupling mechanisms of common mode and differential mode radiated interference and validates the radiated interference from both DC and AC cables through simulations, predicting the impact on surrounding sensitive equipment in practical systems. © 2024 IEEE.

The problem of learning-to-control relaxation systems from data is considered. It is shown that the equi-librium of the relaxation system's step response defines the solution of a class of robust control problems and provides a good suboptimal solution to a class of linear quadratic regulator problems. These results demonstrate the potential to efficiently learn policies for these control problems from a single, easy-to-implement trajectory data point, being the step response. More broadly, these results highlight how the system structure and problem definition of the control problem can be exploited to generate data efficient learning- to-control methods.

Trajectory planning method is a research hotspot in autonomous driving. Existing reinforcement learning-based trajectory planning methods suffer from unstable performance due to the strong randomness of network weight parameter updates during the training process. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel trajectory planning method based on deep reinforcement learning trust region policy optimization (TRPO). Firstly, in order to enhance the robustness of the trajectory planning method based on deep reinforcement learning TRPO, a TRPO-LSTM based decision model was proposed. More specifically, a long short term memory (LSTM) based state feature extraction network was designed and embeded into a TRPO-based decision model to enhance the ability of TRPO to extract information from the environmental state space. Secondly, in order to make the planned trajectory adaptive to the dynamic changes of traffic environment, we presented a novel TRPO-LSTM trajectory fitting algorithm. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first work aiming at applying the TRPO-LSTM based decision model in the trajectory fitting process to search the optimal longitudinal trajectory speed. Finally, the proposed trajectory planning method was implemented and simulated on the CARLA simulator. The experimental results show that, compared with existing trajectory planning methods based on deep reinforcement learning algorithms, our proposed method achieves a cumulative reward improvement of over 28.9% in the scenario of four lane highway, and has better robustness. Meanwhile, the proposed method can achieve a lower collision rate of 0.93% while improving the average speed and comfort of vehicle driving. IEEE

Path planning for lunar rover involves defining the optimal route across the moon’s surface, typically considering factors such as terrain, obstacles, and target locations, to ensure the rover completes its mission efficiently and safely. This paper presents a two-stage lunar rover path planning method integrating global routing with local obstacle avoidance. This method utilizes sensor data from unmanned rovers and destination coordinates for path planning. Initially, point cloud data from various sensors are used to construct a high-resolution digital elevation map (DEM) of the local area by gridding. This detailed DEM is then compressed to a low-resolution DEM to reduce computational load. Subsequently, the local maps are merged to create a global map for global path planning, ensuring information preservation and memory reuse. Lastly, the optimal forward path is selected on the local map during each iteration by considering terrain information, target location, and global path. Our simulation experiments demonstrate that the proposed method is more efficient and accurate compared to single-stage global path planning or local obstacle avoidance methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

The electromagnetic interference (EMI) problem caused by power electronic switching devices and pulse width modulation (PWM) affects the normal operation of the motor drive system. In this paper, a random PWM based on unified modulation is proposed for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive system. The theoretical basis of unified modulation and the implementation scheme of random modulation are analyzed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed random PWM is verified by simulation. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper explores a mixed virtuality and reality joint adversarial training system, centering on weapon equipment performance simulation, battlefield environment reproduction and engagement data acquisition and processing, with emphasis on mutual identification and confrontation between virtual and real forces. First, technological approaches of data communication, position and attitude acquisition, fire strike simulation and damage calculation are proposed. Subsequently, the paper introduces key technologies including digital twin battlefield, weapon firing model, ballistic trajectory calculation and damage intersection model. Finally, through development and test, the system realizes effective confrontation between virtual and real forces, enhancing the troops’ practical combat training level to a certain extent.

In this paper, we propose a safety-critical controller based on time-varying control barrier functions (CBFs) for a robot with an unicycle model in the continuous-time domain to achieve navigation and dynamic collision avoidance. Unlike previous works, our proposed approach can control both linear and angular velocity to avoid collision with obstacles, overcoming the limitation of confined control performance due to the lack of control variable. To ensure that the robot reaches its destination, we also design a control Lyapunov function (CLF). Our safety-critical controller is formulated as a quadratic program (QP) optimization problem that incorporates CLF and CBFs as constraints, enabling real-time application for navigation and dynamic collision avoidance. Numerical simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of our proposed approach. © 2023 IEEE.

In the CNC machine tool industry, cutting fluid is a crucial component of the machining process. Nevertheless, as the duration of cutting fluid use increases, its performance progressively deteriorates, presenting a significant challenge that necessitates resolution. This study introduces an innovative intelligent monitoring system designed to optimize the preparation of cutting fluid in CNC machine tools. The aim is to extend the fluid's service life, mitigate tool wear, and address issues arising from fluid degradation. The system integrates a heating plate, sensors, pumping motors, and embedded systems to monitor and manage the cutting fluid effectively. Testing was conducted using a customdesigned container, and data analysis identified the optimal supply strategy, thereby extending the usable lifespan of the cutting fluid. This system enhances production longevity and allows for the configuration of containers with appropriate capacities based on specific requirements, ensuring consistent and high-quality production. © 2024 IEEE.

As power electronics technology continues to advance, the prevalence of switching quantity interface circuits has grown in diverse domains, encompassing industrial production and everyday civilian applications. An analysis of operational data from these circuits, along with an assessment of their overall health, proves instrumental in the timely detection and resolution of operational anomalies. This holds paramount significance in upholding the reliability of these interface circuits. Nevertheless, tracking the degradation trajectory of the core components during their operational lifespan poses a challenge. Typically, only two states, normal and abnormal, are readily discernible, making direct health assessment elusive. To address this issue, this study introduces a health assessment methodology for the fundamental components of switch quantity interface circuits based on active excitation testing. Through the application of active excitation, the performance decay profile of the optical coupler is ascertained, solving the problem of capturing the degradation process within these circuits. This approach facilitates the stable and precise characterization of the health status of switching quantity interface circuits. The health assessment method presented in this paper is characterized by modest computational resource demands and a reduced reliance on expert knowledge. It is adept at quantitatively delineating the health status of switch-quantity interface circuits with precision, thereby offering guidance for the maintenance and replacement of pivotal electronic components within these circuits. In doing so, it contributes to the assurance of operational dependability and an extension of the service life of switch quantity interface circuits. © 2023 IEEE.

In the context of intricate and perpetually shifting operational landscapes, particularly within high-risk scenarios, the employment of Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) is pro-gressively revealing its pivotal significance. Nonetheless, the chal-lenge of promptly and precisely dispensing weapon resources in the dynamically evolving theatre of operations to optimize combat efficacy has emerged as a cardinal issue demanding immediate attention. Current methodologies, including approximate solution algorithms like Genetic Algorithms, Particle Swarm Optimization, and the Artificial Bee Colony algorithm, are often limited by inherent constraints. Addressing this shortfall, We propose an enhanced variant of the Artificial bee colony algorithm, synergistically amalgamated with the salient attributes of Genetic Algorithms. The proposed algorithm is designed to refine the decision-making process for weapon-target assignments in UGVs, integrates crossover and mutation mechanisms characteristic of genetic algorithms. Consequently, it mitigates the inherent tendency of the traditional ABC algorithm to stagnate in local optima during the resolution of high-dimensional, nonlinear optimization dilemmas. This augmentation notably amplifies global exploration capabilities, expedites the rate of convergence, and refines solution precision. Experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm outperforms incumbent techniques across pivotal metrics including convergence velocity, solution fidelity, and adaptive potential when tackling Weapon Target Assignment challenges. These findings unequivocally affirm its operational efficacy and pragmatic utility in authentic settings.
