Ladle Furnace Temperature Prediction Model Based on Large-scale Data With Random Forest

In ladle furnace, the prediction of the liquid steel temperature is always a hot topic for the researchers. The most of the existing temperature prediction models use small sample set. Today, the precision of them can not satisfy practical production. Fortunately, the large sample set is accumulated from the practical production process. However, a large sample set makes it difficult to build a liquid steel temperature model. To deal with the issue, the random forest method is preferred in this paper, which is a powerful regression method with low complexity and can be designed very quickly. It is with the parallel ensemble structure,uses sample subsets,and employs a simple learning algorithm of sub-models. Then, the random forest method is applied to establish a temperature model by using the data sampled from the production process. The experiments show that the random forest temperature model is more precise than other temperature models.

With the rapid development of deep learning technology, behavior recognition based on video streams has made great progress in recent years. However, there are also some problems that must be solved: (1) In order to improve behavior recognition performance, the models have tended to become deeper, wider, and more complex. However, some new problems have been introduced also, such as that their real-time performance decreases; (2) Some actions in existing datasets are so similar that they are difficult to distinguish. To solve these problems, the ResNet34-3DRes18 model, which is a lightweight and efficient two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) fused model, is constructed in this study. The model used 2D convolutional neural network (2DCNN) to obtain the feature maps of input images and 3D convolutional neural network (3DCNN) to process the temporal relationships between frames, which made the model not only make use of 3DCNN's advantages on video temporal modeling but reduced model complexity. Compared with state-of-the-art models, this method has shown excellent performance at a faster speed. Furthermore, to distinguish between similar motions in the datasets, an attention gate mechanism is added, and a Res34-SE-IM-Net attention recognition model is constructed. The Res34-SE-IM-Net achieved 71.85%, 92.196%, and 36.5% top-1 accuracy (The predicting label obtained from model is the largest one in the output probability vector. If the label is the same as the target label of the motion, the classification is correct.) respectively on the test sets of the HMDB51, UCF101, and Something-Something v1 datasets.

Flat optical components (metasurfaces) made from artificial electromagnetic materials (metamaterials) have opened new possibilities for the manipulation of electromagnetic waves within compact multifunctional devices. This field encompasses the development of individual optical elements and their integration into systems for use in real-world applications, especially in optical information processing, light detection and ranging (LiDAR), augmented or virtual reality, and biological imaging. This comprehensive Review highlights advances in the use of flat optics in analog computational information processing and imaging applications and emphasizes their fundamental role in transfer function engineering. The natural synergy between flat optics and computational technologies is described in relation to advanced imaging and microscopy solutions that have the potential for simultaneous information acquisition and processing. An outlook on future developments, including critical insights for both newcomers and experts in this field, is also provided.

Term translation of Chinese historical classics is very difficult and time-consuming work,and using term alignment methods to extract term translation pairs is of great help for historical term ***,the limited bilingual corpora resources of historical classics and special morphology of the ancient Chinese result in poor performance of term *** this end,this paper proposes a historical term alignment method using modern Chinese as a pivot *** method first identifies English terms by rules,then aligns them from English to modern Chinese and then from modern Chinese to ancient *** use of English-modern Chinese corpus and modern-ancient Chinese corpus instead of English-ancient Chinese corpus solves the shortage problem of the parallel ***,using modern Chinese as a pivot language effectively reduces the alignment errors caused by the abbreviations and the interchangeable characters of ancient *** the term alignment experiment on Shiji,our method outperformed the direct alignment method significantly,which proves the validity of our method.

Extracting term translation pairs is of great help for Chinese histori-cal classics translation since term translation is the most time-consuming and challenging part in the translation of historical ***,it is tough to recognize the terms directly from ancient Chinese due to the flexible syntactic of ancient Chinese and the word segmentation errors of ancient Chinese will lead to more errors in term translation *** most of the terms in ancient Chinese are still reserved in modern Chinese and the terms in modern Chinese are more easily to be identified,we propose a term translation extract-ing method using multi-features based on character-based model to extract his-torical term translation pairs from modern Chinese-English corpora instead of ancient Chinese-English ***,we first employ character-based BiLSTM-CRF model to identify historical terms in modern Chinese without word segmentation,which avoids word segmentation error spreading to the term *** we extract English terms according to initial capitaliza-tion *** last,we align the English and Chinese terms based on co-occurrence frequency and transliteration *** experiment on Shiji demonstrates that the performance of the proposed method is far superior to the traditional method,which confirms the effectiveness of using modern Chinese as a substitute.

Constructing DNA Barcode Sets Based on Particle Swarm Optimization

Following the completion of the human genome project, a large amount of high-throughput bio-data was generated. To analyze these data, massively parallel sequencing, namely next-generation sequencing, was rapidly developed. DNA barcodes are used to identify the ownership between sequences and samples when they are attached at the beginning or end of sequencing reads. Constructing DNA barcode sets provides the candidate DNA barcodes for this application. To increase the accuracy of DNA barcode sets, a particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm has been modified and used to construct the DNA barcode sets in this paper. Compared with the extant results, some lower bounds of DNA barcode sets are improved. The results show that the proposed algorithm is effective in constructing DNA barcode sets.

Recently, with the obvious increasing number of cardiovascular disease, the automatic classification research of Electrocardiogram signals (ECG) has been playing a significantly important part in the clinical diagnosis of cardiovascular disease. In this paper, a 1D convolution neural network (CNN) based method is proposed to classify ECG signals. The proposed CNN model consists of five layers in addition to the input layer and the output layer, i.e., two convolution layers, two down sampling layers and one full connection layer, extracting the effective features from the original data and classifying the features automatically. This model realizes the classification of 5 typical kinds of arrhythmia signals, i.e., normal, left bundle branch block, right bundle branch block, atrial premature contraction and ventricular premature contraction. The experimental results on the public MIT-BIH arrhythmia database show that the proposed method achieves a promising classification accuracy of 97.5%, significantly outperforming several typical ECG classification methods. © 2017 IEEE.

A Low SAR, Small size, High gain, Circularly polarized Antenna for Wearable Application

A planar, small size, high gain, low specific absorption rate (SAR) and circularly-polarized (CP) wearable antenna is proposed in this paper. The antenna is fabricated on a substrate with a dielectric constant of 3.5 with a thickness of 0.5 mm and sized at 42×42 mm only. Both the simulation results show that the overlap bandwidth of impedance and axial ratio of the proposed antenna is 13.7% (5.15-5.91 GHz). To isolate the antenna against the influence of the human body, a artificial magnetic conductor (AMC) plane is added on the reverse side of the radiator. The AMC structure effectively isolates the human body from the radiation of the antenna and reduces the specific absorption rate (SAR) of it by more than 96.1% at 5.5 GHz, which improves the antenna gain and the peak gain reaches 5.09 dBi at 5.5 GHz. The wearable performance of the antenna was analyzed, and it is observed that it can sustain good performance even under human body loading. Beside, the antenna has a small size, which makes it ideal for wearable applications.

In the field of biological computing, the DNA strand displacement technique performs well in computation and programming. DNA strand displacement can be used to simulate calculations. Models based on the characteristics of DNA strand displacement are established to simulate n-dimensional matrices operations in this paper. The input and output of these computational models are analog, which means that the values of the individual elements in the n-dimensional matrices can be expressed directly by the concentration of the input and output DNA strands. Simulation experiment is performed by Visual DSD, and their results with high accuracy are consistent to the results of matrices operations in higher algebra, which prove correctness and validity of the models. The proposed models show calculation ability of DNA strand displacement and can be applied to the field of intelligent computing.

Delay in the study of biochemical reaction system can't be ignored and the complex time delay systems are integrated to get the multiple time delayed biochemical reactions. An improved acceleration algorithm based on MD-Leaping algorithm for multidelayed biochemical reaction systems is proposed in this paper. The number of the waiting records generated during the operation of the MD-Leaping algorithm slows down its rate. We use a novel method that can reduce the size of the wait queue to add the wait records. The new algorithm greatly reduces the memory requirements without losing accuracy and runs faster. At last, this paper makes a numerical simulation analysis of a multiple time delayed model, and this case further demonstrates the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed algorithm. © 2017 Association for computing Machinery.
