Plant growth simulation algorithm for solving bilevel symbiosis optimization between manufacturing enterprise and logistics enterprise

An intelligence optimization algorithm for solving nonlinear bilevel programming is proposed herein. In this algorithm, the upper solution space and lower reaction set of bilevel programming are looked as two growth environments of plants. Then the plant system evolution style based on growth regulation and the probability growth model based on plant phototropism theory are established. The optimization model combined with above two has realized the evolution of artificial plant from initial status to whole final status (that means no new branch growing), thus the optimal solutions of bilevel programming can be found. The algorithm herein shows its high accuracy and strong astringency. This article solves the problem of bilevel symbiosis optimization between manufacturing enterprise and logistics enterprise by using this algorithm, and the result shows that Plant Growth Simulation Algorithm (PGSA) has good effectiveness and feasibility. © 2014 ISSN 1881-803X.

In this paper,the generalized Jacobian matrix and the improved Milne-Hamming linear multi-step prediction and correction algorithm are combined for solving the space manipulator trajectory tracking *** of all,controlling end-effector tracks a known trajectory by the method of pseudo inverse of generalized Jacobian ***,due to the accuracy of the solution of this approach inversely with the step-size of numerical integration,we need larger calculation to get more precise *** increase the accuracy in fixed step-size of calculation,Milne-Hamming linear multi-step prediction and correction algorithm is combined with the methods that mentioned ***,we utilize the RungeKutta method to evaluate the first four solutions of MilneHamming algorithm *** don't have enough parameters to initialize the algorithm until step ***,the validity of the algorithm is verified by computer simulation.

Encrypting the compressed image by chaotic map and arithmetic coding

Due to the efficient and secure requirements of image transmission, a number of research works have been done to encrypt the compressed image. Inspired by the arithmetic coding and chaotic map which are used to compress and encrypt image, respectively. In this paper, a scheme is proposed to encrypt the compressed image by chaotic map and arithmetic coding. This scheme compresses the image row by row which is firstly permuted by two logistic maps before arithmetic coding. It not only enhances the security of arithmetic coding, but also improves the compression ratio. To further improve the security of binary data which has been compressed, we use the chaotic maps to encrypt the data, and set different parameters and initial value for chaotic maps. In order to possess high sensitivities of key and plain-image, the keys that are employed to determine the parameter and initial value of chaotic maps are related to the plain-image. The experimental results validate the effect of the proposed scheme and demonstrate that the compressed and encrypted image is secure and convenient for transmission.

Improved algorithm for image encryption based on DNA encoding and multi-chaotic maps

New image encryption based on DNA encoding combined with chaotic system is proposed. The algorithm uses chaotic system to disturb the pixel locations and pixel values and then DNA encodings according to quaternary code rules are carried out. The pseudo DNA operations are controlled by the quaternary chaotic sequences. At last the image encryption through DNA decoding is achieved. The theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the algorithm improves the encoding efficiency, enhances the security of the ciphertext, has a large key space and a high key sensitivity, it is able to resist the statistical and exhaustive attacks.

Large-field high-resolution electron tomography enables visualizing detailed mechanisms under global structure. As field enlarges, the processing time increases and the distortions in reconstruction become more critical. Adopting a nonlinear projection model instead of a linear one can compensate for curvilinear trajectories, nonlinear electron optics and sample warping. But the processing time for the reconstruction with nonlinear projection model is rather considerable. In this work, we propose a new parallel strategy for block iterative reconstruction algorithms. We also adopt a page-based data transfer in this strategy so as to dramatically reduce the processing time for data transfer and communication. We have tested this parallel strategy and it can yield speedups of approximate 40 times according to our experimental results. © 2014 Springer International Publishing Switzerland.

Plant growth simulation algorithm (PGSA) is a kind of bionic intelligent optimization algorithm. Based on the plant phototropism as heuristic criterion, this algorithm takes the feasible region of different optimization problems as plant growth environment and transforms the changes of the object function into the growth probability (morphactin density) on different growth points. It then makes dynamic model simulating plant rapid growth towards the light (global optimization). PGSA proposed here is finally demonstrated with satisfactory solution by solving basic study (combinatorial optimization, Number Theory, multi-level optimization, integer programming, etc.) and applied study (electric power, logistics, nuke industry, hydraulic power, machine building, industrial engineering, finance engineering, etc.). © 2015, ICIC International.

Background: Decades of steady improvements in life expectancy in Europe slowed down from around 2011, well before the COVID-19 pandemic, for reasons which remain disputed. We aimed to assess how changes in risk factors and cause-specific death rates in different European countries related to changes in life expectancy in those countries before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: We used data and methods from the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2021 to compare changes in life expectancy at birth, causes of death, and population exposure to risk factors in 16 European Economic Area countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden) and the four UK nations (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales) for three time periods: 1990–2011, 2011–19, and 2019–21. Changes in life expectancy and causes of death were estimated with an established life expectancy cause-specific decomposition method, and compared with summary exposure values of risk factors for the major causes of death influencing life expectancy. Findings: All countries showed mean annual improvements in life expectancy in both 1990–2011 (overall mean 0·23 years [95% uncertainty interval [UI] 0·23 to 0·24]) and 2011–19 (overall mean 0·15 years [0·13 to 0·16]). The rate of improvement was lower in 2011–19 than in 1990–2011 in all countries except for Norway, where the mean annual increase in life expectancy rose from 0·21 years (95% UI 0·20 to 0·22) in 1990–2011 to 0·23 years (0·21 to 0·26) in 2011–19 (difference of 0·03 years). In other countries, the difference in mean annual improvement between these periods ranged from –0·01 years in Iceland (0·19 years [95% UI 0·16 to 0·21] vs 0·18 years [0·09 to 0·26]), to –0·18 years in England (0·25 years [0·24 to 0·25] vs 0·07 years [0·06 to 0·08]). Face recognition based on PCA and logistic regression analysis

Face recognition is an important research hotspot. More and more new methods have been proposed in recent years. In this paper, we propose a novel face recognition method which is based on PCA and logistic regression. PCA is one of the most important methods in pattern recognition. Therefore, in our method, PCA is used to extract feature and reduce the dimensions of process data. Afterwards, we present a novel classification algorithm and use logistic regression as the classifier for face recognition. The experimental results on two different face databases are presented to illustrate the efficacy of our proposed method.

Construction and validation analysis of the transcriptional regulatory network based on the gibbs sampler strategy and cytoscape software

To reveal the inner control mechanism of organism is an important content in the research of bioinformatics. The proliferation of a variety of high-throughput biological data for the reconstruction of gene regulatory networks from genome scale may be provided. Because the single data source only can provide about regulation relationship one-sided information and contain noise, so a variety of biological data integration method is expected to be of high reliability control network. We use Gibbs sampling method to integrate the SGD in gene expression data with YEASTRACT in mutual regulation data to infer the transcription regulatory networks. Firstly, based on the sampling distribution method for the given transcription factor to identify their target gene set;then, combining the Outlier sum t-statistical tests calculate the polymerization evidence for given transcription factor regulation of their target gene;finally, we exploit the two step existing results identify transcription factor regulation module. The key is that we utilize the Cytoscape Software reconstructing the transcriptional regulatory networks, and the transcription regulation is found by the Gibbs sampling method, which are consistent with utilizing the Cytoscape Software reconstruct the transcriptional regulatory networks. It verifies the feasibility and accuracy of the Gibbs sampling method. At the same time, we analyze the characteristic of the biological networks. © 2014 American Scientific Publishers.

Face recognition based on independent component analysis image reconstruction and linear discriminant analysis

Independent Component Analysis (ICA) and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) are two conventional methods in feature extraction. In this paper, we propose a novel face recognition method which is based on ICA image reconstruction, LDA and SVM. Firstly, we use the inner-classes covariance matrix as generating matrix, and then we can obtain eigenvectors from each person and the reconstructed images through ICA method. Secondly, the residual images are computed by subtracting reconstructed images from original face images. Furthermore, the residual images are applied by LDA to obtain the coefficient matrices. Finally, the features are utilized to train and test SVMs for face recognition. The experimental results on the ORL face database are presented to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed method. © 2014 ISSN 1881-803X.
