For research on conceptual design of the complex product, it is necessary that a reliable theory is found to decide if the design structure is suit for custom requirement. The correlation matrixes among requirements, functions and structures are proposed. A block diagonal matrix of correlation matrix between functions and structures is given. The mathematical models of multi-object optimization structure design are provided, and then calculated by the hybrid genetic algorithm. An example for solar energy automobile is given to show that this method is able to realize optimization structure design fitting for the requirements. In addition, the approaches can provide good Pareto optimization solutions.

View-dependent fast real-time generating algorithm for large-scale terrain

In order to eliminate the popping effect of switching among levels of detail and to increase the frame rates with high image quality during the fly-through of large-scale terrain, this paper put forward a new bottom-up modeling strategy, which constructed simplified terrain triangle mesh globally and updated mesh nodes dynamically. Employed hybrid culling technique based on blocks and triangle faces and simplified computing method for screen-space errors to select appropriate terrain nodes rapidly. Then updated the Delaunay terrain mesh by adding nodes, deleting nodes and modifying locally. At the same time achieved self-adaptive control for screen-space error tolerance during the terrain fly-through. Results of simulation experiments demonstrate that the algorithm eliminates popping effect effectively, and has a higher frame rate compared with other algorithms. So it is particularly suitable for close-distance fly-through simulation of large-scale terrain. © 2009.

GIS has the function of powerful spatial data process and 3D visualization analysis. In this paper, by using available remote sensing image, DEM data for experiment, we realize 3D terrain visualization and terrain analysis, the technology of how to display huge volume of digital elevation model(DEM)data is introduced, and spatial analysis is studied based on the terrain created using DEM. In the end, the paper introduces the process of the implementation in brief. ©2009 IEEE.

Visual data mining can help in dealing with the flood of information. The advantage of visual data exploration is that the user is directly involved in the data mining process, through analysis the results of the information visualization, user can integrate the specialist knowledge with the data mining algorithm. This paper summarizes current visualization methods applied in data mining. Current applications about visual data mining technique are analyzed combining with some national advanced data mining tools. Chaos has been attracted much attention in current research of image encryption. In this paper, we change the location of pixels and pixel values through the combination of chaos with DNA coding. First of all, we transform the digital image into DNA coding matrix based on DNA code rules. Secondly, we divided this matrix into four sub matrixes, and disorder these sub matrixes through logistic chaotic sequence. Then, we scramble the sub matrixes by adding new logistic chaotic sequences and get the new sub matrixes. Finally, we join all scrambled DNA sub-matrixes in a DNA sequence and decode the scramble DNA matrix to image matrix. The experiment results demonstrate that the proposed scheme is effective, and it has wide secret key space, strong sensibility, high security and good ability of resisting statistic attack.

DNA computing theories can be applied in cryptography and it is a very hopeful direction. Though still in primitive level, it applies in many fields and solved some hard problems successfully. The art of cryptography security is to make anybody can not read it by encoding message. This paper use a new way to show how cryptography works with DNA computing, it can transmit message securely and effectively. The RSA algorithm belongs to asymmetric key cryptography, it is used in this paper connecting with DNA computing technique to encrypt message.

DNA computing is a new research field, which has been paid attention to by more and more experts with the DNA computing bringing the flying development of mathematics, computer science and other subjects. Because the DNA coding could decrease the emergence of false negative and false positive, it affects the reliability and the accuracy of DNA computing. In the DNA coding, DNA word sets could provide the best and effective DNA sequences which are used in DNA computing to improve the reliability and accuracy of biochemical reaction. However, there are no entire and exact values which satisfy combinational constraints, which induce many problems in DNA coding. For this reason, in this paper, we use the dynamic genetic algorithm to improve lower bounds of DNA word sets which satisfy combinational constraints. By comparing our experimental results with previous researchful work, the results improve the lower bounds and further shorten the value range of DNA word sets.

A new image encryption algorithm based on DNA sequence addition operation is presented. First, a DNA sequence matrix is obtained by encoding the original image. Second, divide the DNA sequence matrix into some equal blocks and use DNA sequence addition operation to add these blocks. Thirdly, carry out DNA sequence complement operation for the result of added matrix by using two Logistic maps. At last, decoding the DNA sequence matrix from the third step, we will get the encrypted image. The simulation experimental results and security analysis show that our algorithm not only can get good encryption effect, but also can resist exhaustive attack, statistical attack and differential attack.

Digital image scrambling is one of the most important methods of imageinformation hiding and camouflage. A new digital image scrambling algorithmbased on chaos in low intensity laser-DNA molecule systems is presented in thispaper for image encryption. Firstly, the chaotic sequence is generated by lowintensity laser-DNA molecule system,. Not only is the generated, chaoticsequence extremely sensitive for initial value, ergodic and aperiodic, but alsoit has higher security than the one generated by Logistic Mapping. Based, on thechaotic sequence(s), the image is confused by all pixels encryption and theimage ranks com, pound, encryption. Simulation experimental result shows thatthis method has good scrambling performance, security and robustness. ICIC International © 2009.

Speech emotion recognition using PCA-based spectral features and HMM

In recent years, speech emotion recognition has attracted more and more attention. In this paper, using PCA-based spectral features of the speech signal and HMM, we present a new framework for the text independent recognition of emotions from voice. Contrary to the traditional feature extraction method based on principal components analysis(PCA), the proposed PCA-based spectral features are computed on each set of data belonging to different emotion, rather than on the whole training set, moreover, each emotion subspace is constructed with the eigenvectors corresponding to the smaller eigenvalues rather than the bigger eigenvalues. Then, the proposed features are used to train HMM for realizing the speech emotion recognition. For finding the effectiveness of these features in recognition of different emotions in different languages, two different data-sets are used to evaluate the proposed method: the Danish emotional speech database and the Chinese emotional speech database. For the Danish database, it was shown that higher classification rate can be achieved on the new feature vectors extracted by proposed method. The proposed features, traditional PCA-based spectral features and original spectral features yielded close classification performance for the Chinese database.
