This paper presents a novel model protection paradigm Model Locking that locks the performance of a finetuned model on private data to make it unusable or unextractable without the right key. Specifically, we proposed a diffusion-based framework dubbed ModelLock that explores text-guided image editing to transform the private finetuning data into unique styles or blend new objects into the background. A model finetuned on this edited dataset will be locked and can only be unlocked by the key prompt, i.e., the same text prompt used to edit the data. We conduct extensive experiments on both image classification and segmentation tasks and show that 1) ModelLock can effectively lock finetuned models without significantly reducing their unlocked performance, and more importantly, 2) the locked model cannot be easily unlocked without knowing both the key prompt and the diffusion model. Our work opens up a new direction for intellectual property protection of private models. © 2024 ACM.

Traditional unlearnable strategies have been proposed to prevent unauthorized users from training on the 2D image data. With more 3D point cloud data containing sensitivity information, unauthorized usage of this new type data has also become a serious concern. To address this, we propose the first integral unlearnable framework for 3D point clouds including two processes: (i) we propose an unlearnable data protection scheme, involving a class-wise setting established by a category-adaptive allocation strategy and multi-transformations assigned to samples;(ii) we propose a data restoration scheme that utilizes class-wise inverse matrix transformation, thus enabling authorized-only training for unlearnable data. This restoration process is a practical issue overlooked in most existing unlearnable literature, i.e., even authorized users struggle to gain knowledge from 3D unlearnable data. Both theoretical and empirical results (including 6 datasets, 16 models, and 2 tasks) demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed unlearnable framework. The field of medical images has been rapidly evolving since the advent of the digital medical information ***,medical data is susceptible to leaks and hacks during *** paper proposed a robust multi-watermarking algorithm for medical images based on GoogLeNet transfer learning to protect the privacy of patient data during transmission and storage,as well as to increase the resistance to geometric attacks and the capacity of embedded watermarks of watermarking ***,a pre-trained GoogLeNet network is used in this paper,based on which the parameters of several previous layers of the network are fixed and the network is fine-tuned for the constructed medical dataset,so that the pre-trained network can further learn the deep convolutional features in the medical dataset,and then the trained network is used to extract the stable feature vectors of medical ***,a two-dimensional Henon chaos encryption technique,which is more sensitive to initial values,is used to encrypt multiple different types of watermarked private ***,the feature vector of the image is logically operated with the encrypted multiple watermark information,and the obtained key is stored in a third party,thus achieving zero watermark embedding and blind *** experimental results confirmthe robustness of the algorithm from the perspective ofmultiple types of watermarks,while also demonstrating the successful embedding ofmultiple watermarks for medical images,and show that the algorithm is more resistant to geometric attacks than some conventional watermarking algorithms.

This paper presents a Scientific Literature Management Platform (SLMP, demo link1 ) based on large language models (LLMs). The platform consists of four modules: literature management, literature extraction, literature retrieval, and question answering. The core techniques used to support the four modules across the platform include a fine-tuned model PaperExtractGPT and a continual pre-training model ChatPaperGPT based on ChatGLM2 using the data from scientific research literature, responsible for information extraction and communication, respectively. Due to their powerful capabilities in natural language understanding and generation, LLMs can understand complex scientific concepts based on the provided contexts, and thus generate high-quality texts and conduct in-depth information retrieval and question answering. Our platform can help researchers manage and utilize literature more effectively and efficiently for finding relevant literature, obtaining required information, and generating new knowledge. © 2024 IEEE.

Spreadsheets contain a lot of valuable data and have many practical *** key technology of these practical applications is how to make machines understand the semantic structure of spreadsheets,e.g.,identifying cell function types and discovering relationships between cell *** existing methods for understanding the semantic structure of spreadsheets do not make use of the semantic information of cells.A few studies do,but they ignore the layout structure information of spreadsheets,which affects the performance of cell function classification and the discovery of different relationship types of cell *** this paper,we propose a Heuristic algorithm for Understanding the Semantic Structure of spreadsheets(HUSS).Specifically,for improving the cell function classification,we propose an error correction mechanism(ECM)based on an existing cell function classification model[11]and the layout features of *** improving the table structure analysis,we propose five types of heuristic rules to extract four different types of cell pairs,based on the cell style and spatial location *** experimental results on five real-world datasets demonstrate that HUSS can effectively understand the semantic structure of spreadsheets and outperforms corresponding baselines.

Cloud-based machine learning services offer significant advantages but also introduce the risk of tampering with cloud-deployed deep neural network (DNN) models. Black-box integrity verification (BIV) allows model owners and end-users to determine if a cloud-deployed DNN model has been tampered with by examining only the top-1 label responses. Fingerprinting generates fingerprint samples to query the model, achieving BIV with no impact on the model's accuracy. In this paper, we present BIVBench, the first comprehensive benchmark for BIV of DNN models. BIVBench covers 16 types of model modifications, providing extensive coverage of practical modification scenarios. Our analysis reveals that existing fingerprinting methods, which are typically focused on significant tampering, lack the sensitivity needed to effectively detect subtle yet common and potentially severe modifications. To address this limitation, we propose MiSentry (Model Integrity Sentry), a novel fingerprinting method that leverages meta-learning. MiSentry strategically incorporates a few subtly modified models into the meta-learning model zoo and maximizes the divergence of output predictions between the target model and the modified models in the model zoo to generate highly sensitive, generalizable, and effective fingerprint samples. Extensive evaluations using BIVBench demonstrate that MiSentry outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods overall and significantly surpasses them in detecting subtle modifications. During software development, vulnerabilities have posed a significant threat to users. Patches are the most effective way to combat vulnerabilities. In a large-scale software system, testing the presence of a security patch in every affected binary is crucial to ensure system security. Identifying whether a binary has been patched for a known vulnerability is challenging, as there may only be small differences between patched and vulnerable versions. Existing approaches mainly focus on detecting patches that are compiled in the same compiler options. However, it is common for developers to compile programs with very different compiler options in different situations, which causes inaccuracy for existing methods. In this paper, we propose a new approach named PS3, referring to precise patch presence test based on semantic-level symbolic signature. PS3 exploits symbolic emulation to extract signatures that are stable under different compiler options. Then PS3 can precisely test the presence of the patch by comparing the signatures between the reference and the target at semantic level. To evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, we constructed a dataset consisting of 3,631 (CVE, binary) pairs of 62 recent CVEs in four C/C++ projects. The experimental results show that PS3 achieves scores of 0.82, 0.97, and 0.89 in terms of precision, recall, and F1 score, respectively. PS3 outperforms the state-of-the-art baselines by improving 33% in terms of F1 score and remains stable in different compiler options. © 2024 ACM.

Large-vocabulary object detectors (LVDs) aim to detect objects of many categories, which learn super objectness features and can locate objects accurately while applied to various downstream data. However, LVDs often struggle in recognizing the located objects due to domain discrepancy in data distribution and object vocabulary. At the other end, recent vision-language foundation models such as CLIP demonstrate superior open-vocabulary recognition capability. This paper presents KGD, a Knowledge Graph Distillation technique that exploits the implicit knowledge graphs (KG) in CLIP for effectively adapting LVDs to various downstream domains. KGD consists of two consecutive stages: 1) KG extraction that employs CLIP to encode downstream domain data as nodes and their feature distances as edges, constructing KG that inherits the rich semantic relations in CLIP explicitly;and 2) KG encapsulation that transfers the extracted KG into LVDs to enable accurate cross-domain object classification. In addition, KGD can extract both visual and textual KG independently, providing complementary vision and language knowledge for object localization and object classification in detection tasks over various downstream domains. Experiments over multiple widely adopted detection benchmarks show that KGD outperforms the state-of-the-art consistently by large margins. © 2024 Neural information processing systems foundation.
