Semi-supervised learning (SSL), thanks to the significant reduction of data annotation costs, has been an active research topic for large-scale 3D scene understanding. However, the existing SSL-based methods suffer from severe training bias, mainly due to class imbalance and long-tail distributions of the point cloud data. As a result, they lead to a biased prediction for the tail class segmentation. In this paper, we introduce a new decoupling optimization framework, which disentangles feature representation learning and classifier in an alternative optimization manner to shift the bias decision boundary effectively. In particular, we first employ two-round pseudo-label generation to select unlabeled points across head-to-tail classes. We further introduce multi-class imbalanced focus loss to adaptively pay more attention to feature learning across head-to-tail classes. We fix the backbone parameters after feature learning and retrain the classifier using ground-truth points to update its parameters. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of our method outperforming previous state-of-the-art methods on both indoor and outdoor 3D point cloud datasets (i.e., S3DIS, ScanNet-V2, Semantic3D, and SemanticKITTI) using 1% and 1pt evaluation. Dynamic searchable symmetric encryption (DSSE) enables users to delegate the keyword search over dynamically updated encrypted databases to an honest-but-curious server without losing keyword privacy. This paper studies a new and practical security risk to DSSE, namely, secret key compromise (e.g., a user’s secret key is leaked or stolen), which threatens all the security guarantees offered by existing DSSE schemes. To address this open problem, we introduce the notion of searchable encryption with key-update (SEKU) that provides users with the option of non-interactive key updates. We further define the notion of post-compromise secure with respect to leakage functions to study whether DSSE schemes can still provide data security after the client’s secret key is compromised. We demonstrate that post-compromise security is achievable with a proposed protocol called "Bamboo". Interestingly, the leakage functions of Bamboo satisfy the requirements for both forward and backward security. We conduct a performance evaluation of Bamboo using a real-world dataset and compare its runtime efficiency with the existing forward-and-backward secure DSSE schemes. In the existing vehicle positioning system based on Global Navigation Satellite System/Inertial Navigation System (GNSS/INS), when the GNSS signal is lost, the error accumulated by using only the INS will damage the positioning accuracy. In order to improve the accuracy, this paper proposed a positioning method based on data-driven and learning models, which utilized distributed data sets to collaboratively construct accurate positioning models through federated fusion algorithms without sacrificing user privacy. In the field scenarios of IID and Non-IID types, this paper compared the performance of INS and the existing two typical methods, DeepSense and PVAUA, it is verified that the two federated learning algorithm models constructed had higher positioning accuracy in different scenarios and different GNSS signal loss durations. The back-streaming white-neutron beamline(Back-n)of the China Spallation Neutron Source is an essential neutronresearch platform built for the study of nuclear data,neutron physics,and neutron *** types of cross-sectional neutron-reaction measurements have been performed at Back-n since early *** measurements have shown that a significant number of gamma rays can be transmitted to the experimental stations of Back-n along with the neutron *** gamma rays,commonly referred to as in-beam gamma rays,can induce a non-negligible experimental background in neutron-reaction *** the characteristics of in-beam gamma rays is important for understanding the experimental ***,measuring in-beam gamma rays is challenging because most gamma-ray detectors are sensitive to neutrons;thus,discriminating between neutron-induced signals and those from in-beam gamma rays is *** this study,we propose the use of the black resonance filter method and a CeBr_(3) scintillation detector to measure the characteristics of the in-beam gamma rays of *** types of black resonance filters,^(181)Ta,^(59)Co,^(nat)Ag,and^(nat)Cd,were used in this *** time-of-flight(TOF)technique was used to select the detector signals remaining in the absorption region of the TOF spectra,which were mainly induced by in-beam gamma *** energy distribution and flux of the in-beam gamma rays of Back-n were determined by analyzing the deposited energy spectra of the CeBr_(3) scintillation detector and using Monte Carlo *** on the results of this study,the background contributions from in-beam gamma rays in neutron-reaction measurements at Back-n can be reasonably evaluated,which is beneficial for enhancing both the experimental methodology and data analysis.

Neutron resonance imaging(NRI)has recently emerged as an appealing technique for neutron *** complexity surpasses that of conventional transmission imaging,as it requires a high demand for both a neutron source and ***,the progression of NRI technology has been sluggish since its inception in the 1980s,particularly considering the limited studies analyzing the neutron energy range above *** white neutron source(Back-n)at the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)provides favorable beam conditions for the development of the NRI technique over a wide neutron energy range from eV to ***-sensitive microchannel plates(MCP)have emerged as a cutting-edge tool in the field of neutron detection owing to their high temporal and spatial resolutions,high detection efficiency,and low *** this study,we report the development of a 10B-doped MCP detector,along with its associated electronics,data processing system,and NRI experiments at the *** heavy elements such as gold,silver,tungsten,and indium can be easily identified in the transmission images by their characteristic resonance peaks in the 1–100 eV energy range;the more difficult medium-weight elements such as iron,copper,and aluminum with resonance peaks in the 1–100 keV energy range can also be *** particular,results in the neutron energy range of dozens of keV(Aluminum)are reported here for the first time.

In SAE Level 2 (L2) and Level 3 (L3) automated driving, drivers are required to take over control from automation when reaching system boundaries. The length of time budget is the vital parameter that needs to be determined to ensure a safe takeover manner. Existing literature on this issue rarely considers potential interactions between time budget and other factors, and a variable time budget seemed to be paradoxical in critical unplanned transitions. To this end, this study investigated drivers' takeover performance and workload under varying automation levels, time budget and road curvature. We employed the operational design domain (ODD) exiting event as the transition scenario where the ego car was about to leave the highway. Results showed that drivers in L3 takeovers performed worse and elicited higher workload than L2 when entering a curved ramp with a limited time budget. Takeovers when entering a curved ramp yielded worse performance and higher workload, as compared to entering a straight ramp. Such detrimental effects caused by loss of situation awareness (SA) and change of road curvature can be mitigated by increasing the length of time budget. All these findings suggest that even in simplified ODD exiting scenarios, the length of time budget should vary according to the state of the driver and the environment. © 2022 IEEE.

Active learning (AL) is successful based on the assumption that labeled and unlabeled data are obtained from the same class distribution. However, its performance deteriorates under class distribution mismatch, wherein the un-labeled data contain many samples out of the class distribution of labeled data. To effectively handle the problems under class distribution mismatch, we propose a contrastive coding based AL framework named CCAL. Unlike the existing AL methods that focus on selecting the most informative samples for annotating, CCAL extracts both semantic and distinctive features by contrastive learning and combines them in a query strategy to choose the most informative un-labeled samples with matched categories. Theoretically, we prove that the AL error of CCAL has a tight upper bound. Experimentally, we evaluate its performance on CIFAR10, CIFAR100, and an artificial cross-dataset that consists of five datasets; consequently, CCAL achieves state-of-the-art performance by a large margin with remarkably lower annotation cost. To the best of our knowledge, CCAL is the first work related to AL for class distribution mismatch.

SMS Spam Detection Using BERT and Multi-Graph Convolutional Networks

The surge in smartphone usage has significantly increased SMS traffic and, consequently, SMS spam, posing risks such as phishing, financial losses, and privacy breaches. Traditional rule-based and blacklist methods fail against evolving spamming techniques, prompting the adoption of machine learning and deep learning approaches. However, models like CNNs and RNNs struggle to capture global co-occurrence patterns and complex semantics, while transformer-based models like BERT lack explicit syntactic and co-occurrence modeling. To address these limitations, we propose the BERT with Triple-Graph Convolutional Networks (BERT-G3CN) model, the first framework to integrate BERT word embeddings with graph embeddings from Cooccurrence, Heterogeneous, and Integrated Syntactic Graphs. This multi-graph approach captures diverse features and models both global and local structures using tailored Graph Convolutional Networks (GCNs). Experiments on two benchmark datasets demonstrate that BERT-G3CN achieves superior accuracy of 99.28% and 93.78%. © 2025, The Authors. All rights reserved.

On-line monitoring of welding quality is very important to the realization of intelligent welding technology and has become a research hotspot in the field of welding technology. This article reviews the research results and latest research progress of welding quality on-line monitoring based on molten pool visual sensing in recent years. First, it introduces the characterization of welding quality by the two-dimensional geometric features and three-dimensional topographic features of the molten pool in detail, and then analyzes the application of machine learning and feature engineering in the online prediction of welding status;we discuss the deep neural network and welding quality at the end Convergence of online detection technology. The work done in this paper reviews the progress of online monitoring technology for welding quality and provides a basis for the follow-up work. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
